  1. Fair assessment and it lends itself to the Allen needs to gel with Dorsey line of thinking
  2. Edited my prior post to mention it, but what do people make of McVay sitting his starters in preseason and winning the Super Bowl? Editing this post to include an article from last year: (https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/32011689/los-angeles-rams-again-rest-all-starters-preseason-games?platform=amp) He treats training camp scrimmages as a type of preseason and uses preseason games as more of a roster cutdown analysis tool.
  3. A bicycle that has no passion for being a bicycle
  4. I’d rather it be against one Aaron Donald than 53 Broncos. Couldn’t not read that in Milton’s voice haha (Edit: You ever think of a great comeback later on? Mine is “Oh yeah? Something-Something-McVay-Rests-Starters-Won-Super-Bowl-Something-Something”) - - - To be frank I’m going to the game so selfishly love that so many starters will be playing!
  5. Here’s hoping the Texans come into Week 12 “triggered” as hell
  6. I get the reasons for playing them, but do think the starters, especially Allen, should sit. Knock the rust off and iron out any lingering communication issues in the 1st quarter against the Rams if need be. Sure, injuries can happen anytime, but that does not mean playing them isn’t risking a lot. Last thing a team with Super Bowl aspirations needs is a significant injury or heaven forbid losing a key player for the season before it starts.
  7. To be fair, not that he was bad, but the back half of Fletcher’s career has long been described as making a boatload of tackles 5-10 downfield. Regardless, I too have faith a deal gets worked out for 3 main reasons: (1) Poyer wants (and should want ) to be here, (2) Beane is a wizard, and (3) the cap doesn’t exist.
  8. I get OP’s point in that it doesn’t seem Moss did anything exceptional to make the run happen. In other words, it was not successful due to a huge display of talent. But regardless, can’t discount the vision he used to see the cutback. That alone was impressive, especially given how down on Moss many have been.
  9. Sources say the brawl stemmed from an argument over which team could claim the Bills as its daddy. NE pointed to their last game against the Bills but CAR took exception noting how they are basically the Bills’ farm team. More on this at 6:00.
  10. Dolphins should be in the playoffs/6-11 group. I can’t justify putting them a tier above the Titans, but I also would be lying if I said I cannot see the Titans going 6-11. Whether Watson or Brissett, CLE to me falls squarely in playoffs/6-10.
  11. A topic long overdue for its own thread. I’m not even sure if I’m being sarcastic or not saying that. Anyways, I’m hopeful a combination of Shakir, Hodgins, and come playoffs OBJ can man outside WR3.
  12. Not necessary, but I like the idea of adding his return skills as a threat in key situations. I echo those who compared to what the Chiefs do with Hill and those who point to Diggs getting doubled often so it helps get the ball in his hands.
  13. I said in another thread it would be interesting to see if we do this as an extra threat in the playoffs if we end up adding OBJ into the mix at that time.
  14. Possible QB camp cuts: Hundley from BAL Rudolph from PIT Webb from NYG Slim pickings.
  15. I rode an escalator with a guy who overheard at a Quinceañera he was working that Sauce Gardner has been “solid-but-unspectacular”
  16. If we add OBJ it would be interesting to try this in the playoffs.
  17. Wherever he does best. My heart says sideline so he can be down there with Allen and the O, but my head says booth where he can see the overall picture of the game better.
  18. Allen must have been washed at that point.
  19. Maybe I’m misremembering, but could have sworn that washed QB ran to the 1 yard line putting them in position for a TD that would have cut the lead to 7 with 6:07 to go but the run was taken away by a taunting penalty.
  20. I mean it happened last year. The Rams would not have won the SB without his TD. Plus this situation would mean he’s not really involved with the team until late season or playoffs. Kind of the perfect scenario.
  21. Would sure be nice to have an insurance policy so we don’t roll into the playoffs with a WR corp full of walking wounded like 2 years ago
  22. That washed QB almost beat us with a lackluster supporting cast last year
  23. Felt like it took him 3 days to come back out, but so worth it!
  24. Let’s say this happens. Do we like a 3WR set with OBJ & Davis outside and Diggs in the slot?
