Yeah but Edmunds is so tall and has such a large wingspan he needs to make tackles that deep. Plus imagine how many pass lanes he clogs up all the way back there.

The (perhaps encouraging) thing is, we’ve seen JA17 take the short stuff and pick apart defenses before, so (it may be a comfort to see that) he has done it before and with regularity. Yeah after last night it seems a safe bet that Hurts, Swift, and Gainwell will own that backfield. Maybe Scott (and especially against the Giants) but he got concussed. Unfortunately for Penny, his most notable contribution was his holding call that took back Brown’s TD catch.
