Playoffs - ESPN Playoff Machine
longtimebillsfan replied to ngbills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I like and agree with everything you said. It is always nice to beat the Dolphins twice in one year. If we don't make the playoffs, it would be nice to rank 2nd in our division. This would be something to build on. -

(hypothetical) Alabama vs. Bills spread
longtimebillsfan replied to Kirby Jackson's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is silly at this point. The Bills have beaten three playoff teams from last year. Most likely any NFL team could handle Alabama. However, back I. The 60's and before, the NFL champions would play a game vs a team of college Allstars. The college kids would win every once in a while. -
I am not sure why, but I feel bad for Hackett. He seemed over his head, he also seems like a likable person. Who knows, he may get a head coaching job at a small college. Best of luck to Hackett. Bortles' benching is over due. I am glad it came a week after our game. He has had some decent games, but to me he looks like a career backup. Maybe a couple levels up from EJ.

It's Miami week, and that means HAIKU

You are truly gifted. Squish the fish! -
He could have 3 or 4 strong seasons left, but I believe the Bills will draft a running back in 2019 and spend money on free agents to fill higher needs. If we strengthen our online, that should upgrade our running attack without bringing in a high priced player like Bell. He would be a nice addition, but to me that move does not seem to be practical.

Playoffs - ESPN Playoff Machine

I believe they would need to win out. If they take care of business they could win four of the five. I am not convinced they can beat New England unless the Pats have nothing to play for in the last two games of the season. Wouldn't that be amazing if we make the playoffs two years in a row in similar fashion? -
Those were some overoficious jerks!

The refs really destroyed the flow of the game. Allen's numbers could have looked much better if some of his completions had not been negated by penalties. Early in the game I believe it was Milano that was called for defensive holding when he just put his hand on a crossing receiver. It didn't even slow down the receiver. That was an unnecessary call . I am sure there were others, but that one was very noticeable. I live the Mar. Levy quote. For Marvin, that was about a rough a language as he could offer. A really classy coach. He always does. He has got to be one of the lowest rated head refs in the NFL. -
You have to love Josh Allen...
longtimebillsfan replied to Hebert19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree 100%. He brings intangibles that will get his teammates to buy in. He is looking more comfortable in the pocket. He can extend plays, and he is constantly looking down field. He has many of our fan base optimistic about our future. There will always those that are negative, but that is what it is. -
Nice game but Allen needs to pass

You missed the point entirely. But that is ok. I am a fan of Allen. Not everyone will be. That is what this board if for. -

This is exactly like those emails complaining about Tyrod didn't throw for enough yardage, even though the Bills won the game. This was Allen's 6th game! He has so much heart. That to me is more important than how many yards he threw for. Give it time. His yardage numbers will come up. He was facing one of the best pass defenses in the league. I will never understand the mentality of this type of thread. May you find peace.
