2023 Extension? (Poyer/Edmunds/Knox/Oliver)
longtimebillsfan replied to elijah's topic in The Stadium Wall
Though I am a fan of Singletary, it is not a good use of resources to give an average rb a second contract. All in on Poyer, Knox, and Oliver. Edmunds could go either way. Just my opinion. -
If we have cones on our schedule I am all in. Otherwise I prefer production on the field vs a strong performance in drills.

Bills restructure Ryan Bates contract

Agreed. I am an advocate of selecting the best player available especially in the first round. -

That would be awesome. I love Beane's "win now " mentality. -

According to the News article, this deal lowers Diggs cap hit for 2022. Could we possibly sign a cb from the free agent class now? This could free us up to truely take the best player available in the draft without drafting for need. -

Big target with good hands? Yea that is really a stretch comparing to Gronk. Good post! -
You could be right. Not personal since I do not know Gilmore on a personal or any other level. Beane and McDermott have done a great job of building a group of players that puts team above self. In my very humble opinion, Gilmore does not appear to be that type of player. Also, his compensation would not fit under our cap. We need to get an upgrade from Wallace at a much lower compensation such as in the draft or a player on a "prove it" one year contract. If we want to keep Diggs for his next contract, we need to increase the number of contributing players on our roster with 4 or 5 year rookie contracts. That is just our current reality.

Fill them with air and send him on his way. See ya.

Don't like him. Don't want him. Not a process guy. He is a ME first, last, and always guy. Not good for our locker room. Fill the cornerback need through the draft. No thank you. No way. Hard pass.

Given the uneven play of the Bills in 2021 (see Steelers,Jaguars, Colts, and Patriots losses) I would be inclined to take the under. This is a very difficult schedule. The Bills will need to be at the top of their game every week to avoid disappointing losses. When you factor in key injuries, 12 wins seems overly optimistic.

Beasley had three broken ribs last season?
longtimebillsfan replied to Jerry Jabber's topic in The Stadium Wall
Beasley is a warrior and fit the team well. I didn't care for his selfish attitude with regard to the Covid 19 vaccine, but that is a personal choice. i really appreciated how hard he played and he did help Josh develop. But it is time to move on and I wish him all the best.- 114 replies

The renovation of the existing stadium would have cost 1 billion dollars. Wrigley Field was last remodeled in 2014. Soldiers Field was remodeled in 2002 - 2003. The remodels have not lasted 30 years. I used to live in Chicago. Both have been remodeled several times. Would you spend 71% of the cost of a new care to repair an out of date car? Most likely not. That is what the report was presenting with the options. Also, keep in mind that the financial support for the new stadium is an investment by the state of New York. They will have been repaid their original investment by year 22 of the lease. by the end of the 30 year lease they will have made a profit on their investment. The $250 million from Erie county will not cause a raise in taxes. $75 million will be funded from the excess funds from the 2021 budget. The $125 million will be a loan. I assume they will be bonds. Not sure what your issue is. If you want to have an NFL team this is what needs to be done. If the State of New York and Erie County didn't step up, another city would have. Would you rather loose the Bills franchise or are you just having a bad day. Either way, smile, the Bills are here to stay for 2056 at least. You should be more worried whether we will still be wishing for our first Super Bowl win by the end of the new lease.
