I can file this one under "I wasn't 16 yet" when it came out so it was more aspirational than creepy at the time. Creepy for sure with the benefit of hindsight. Awesome that you remember a forgettable song from 1977 well enough to inform us that Kiss sucks.

I'm down with both sentiments. We should've won in regulation, we could've won in OT with a defensive stop. The equal possessions in OT argument falls short for me. Since everyone assumes whichever team won the toss would drive downfield for a TD - doesn't it follow that given the chance the team that lost the toss would do the same? If so it puts us back at square one and solves nothing. Second team actually has the advantage of not having to decide whether to go for it on 4th down or not.

Reminded me of Dan Jansen - 1988 gold medal speed skater favorite who fell in a race hours after learning that his sister had succumb to cancer. Only time I saw The Who was 1982 at the Carrier Dome - in the topmost row - they billed it as their farewell tour, lol. Ironically the only other show I saw at the Carrier Dome was Rush a year or two later. And we were second row center. My view was better for Rush.
