Looks like Jesse Winker was given a nice send-off by the Citi Field faithful today. Too bad the Reds won't be back again this season.

LOL. For the record I have no love for Frazier. I was merely pointing out the irony that you bashed Frazier and a few hours later he had a big hit. Baseball can be funny that way. I think it happened to me every time Lenny Harris got the start at 3B in place of Robin Ventura. Regardless, not listening to me is probably good advice anyway. My wife sure thinks so.

She'd shake it up, was hard to make out. Now it's plain to see I couldn't cook to save myself, Found my life a recipe. I never looked at her this way before, But now she's all I see... Alison's starting to happen, Alison's starting to happen, Alison's starting to happen to me

I hope that Callaway isn't making in-game decisions based on salary. For the record, I don't like that approach to filling out the lineup either (see Todd Frazier over Jeff McNeil). I can see the argument for leaving Familia in up until the bloop hit. But after that hit, there was no doubt in my mind that Familia wasn't getting the last out. Callaway got played by the Reds manager who baited him into sticking with Familia by never sending up a left handed pinch hitter.

I been warped by the rain, driven by the snow I'm drunk and dirty, don't ya know And I'm still, willin' And I was out on the road, late at night I seen my pretty Alice in every headlight Alice, Dallas Alice

Two things I disagree with: he's not a two inning pitcher and there's no way he should have been left in for the tying hit. You could see that one coming from a mile away. Callaway has a job too - winning games. He set the team up to fail last night and was fortunate that Gagnon bailed him out. The real shame of it is Callaway managed to turn a promising outing by a struggling player into a bad outing.

Why would you be fine with leaving Familia in given your previous comment about the need to show Familia the door? Please read on before respoding If Familia's stuff looked good until he melted down and the melt down lasted 4 batters (after getting 5 late inning outs) how on earth do you give Callaway a pass? This was on Callaway 150%. For the record: I love hearing dissenting opinions and debating

The day before the Patriots bring Tyreek in for a look-see? -
He should sit the next game. And feel shame.

Not picking on ya blue, but the baseball Gods felt otherwise with Frazier hitting the go ahead HR. Meanwhile @Gugny might be having a conniption with Familia pitching a scoreless 8th (with help from Votto) and asked to come out for the 9th (I'm nervous) EDIT: nervousness well founded. But this one is squarely on Callaway. He got played. Reds refused to put in a left handed PH and suckered Callaway into sticking with Familia. Familia should've been gone after the four pitch walk, let alone the next three at bats. EDIT part 2: All's well that ends well? Callaway is a train wreck, I'm not sure what he does well as a manager. if you come up with something please let me know. EDIT part 3: just saw a post game quote from Callaway: "I saw guy a guy who was lights out for 5 outs". Me too. I wonder what he saw after that.

Off of this series? Aim higher my friend. The only good thing about Milbury is he went into the stands at Madison Square Garden and beat a Ranger fan with the guys own shoe back in 1979. In 2000 as the Islanders GM with a young Roberto Luongo on the roster Mad Mike decided to draft the immortal Rick DiPietro with the first pick in the draft and then traded away Luongo. In 2001, he traded Zdeno Chara for Alexei Yashin. Luongo and Chara are still playing. Milbury still has a job in hockey. Truth is stranger than fiction.

Leave? Just kidding, I've never been there. If it were me I'd want to go to a Pirates game. Looks like a beautiful ballpark.

For the second time this season our old friend Yoenis stopped by during BP to say hello. Nothing new on a timetable for his return, but he did play catch. http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/baseball/mets/ny-mets-yoenis-cespedes-injury-plays-catch-20190430-2qjle47po5h4hm6lsqzejngdem-story.html

Shmoozer? That would be the IceLanders he's having fun with. I doubt folks outside the tri-state area have any clue about the Rangers/Islanders rivalry. One or both teams can suck but the games are still intense.
