So you've worked in journalism, taught it, or are a journalism ethicist? There is plenty of balance in many of the quotes and observations. It's not all hate. There's no reason to question Dunne's journalist ethics, but you do. So what direct knowledge of journalism are you basing this on? I've worked in journalism and don't agree with your take at all. Dunne is a thoroughly capable and diligent journalist and he's not making up things or slanting it 'just for the clicks.' It's a compelling story on its own. Everything Dunne has done as someone covering football and the Bills indicate this is an accurate portrait.

For Fun: Build a coaching staff of all former Bills players

Da'Rick Rogers for all positions. -
Bernard is well ahead in the grouping of tackles for loss and fumble recoveries. By far a more complete linebacker.

Dawson Knox on his decision to get surgery
wettlaufer replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
Exactly. I mean, look at the tee box at the end one round in a championship golf tournament. Within days, you can't even see any divots and grass is growing again. Turf management isn't rocket science. The NFL should demand an immediate change on this policy. And allowing one team to be in London for two consecutive games in BS. What the hell? -
I love the way this fellow manages is managing his career. Last two seasons, only play after week eight and go to a serious contender with an area of need at a premium rate per game.

Bears CB Jaylon Johnson Requests to be Traded
wettlaufer replied to ExiledInIllinois's topic in The Stadium Wall
How about shipping out Elam and a second rounder? This guy is a zone corner and the Bears don't want to pay him because he's weaker in man coverage than zone. Can we restructure Tre here? Johnson definitely wants top-10 money in an extension. https://beargoggleson.com/posts/jaylon-johnson-requests-trade-chicago-bears-grant-permission-nfl-deadline -
Dalton Kincaid - Khalil Shakir - Elite Hands - YAC
wettlaufer replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Shakir is second in the NFL in catch rate, at 93.3%. Huge step up from last year's near-50%. Routes this year feel shorter / quicker. The quick passing game was really humming this game. 11 formation is way better suited to the skill set of this team. -
Just looked up TE stats on FantasyPros. Dalton Kincaid has the highest reception / target ratio for TEs (with at least 10 receptions), at 92.6%. Care to guess who's last in the NFL (same receptions qualification)? Knox, at 53.6%. NFL average is 73.3%. Kincaid looked extremely solid this week. Feed the man.

Where the heck is Christian Wade when we need him?!?

They were indiscreet, but involved in a fully consensual relationship. And if this guy doesn't have $20M laid up in investments and isn't facing a divorce, he'll be fine whatever happens.

It's a business, first of all. It's not at all necessary to have experience running a sports organization, second. Third, the Fidelity job was way bigger than being "Terry's personal finance guy." He ran a $6 billion fund there. As I said, that's the financial world's equivalent of being a starting NFL QB.

The guy was an analyst and then portfolio manager at Fidelity from 1999 through 2023. He has an MBA from MIT and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. That's not a personal financial advisor or broker. This is the top of the profession in asset management. It is the financial world's equivalent of being a starting NFL QB.

Her voice is like an excited 16 year-old's, her vocabulary is limited, she's not highly attractive, she says few original things and offers little insight on Xs and Os, and she's not that fun to watch or listen to. Not ever going to ESPN and I wouldn't be surprised to see her eased out quietly after this season.

Allen's completion percentage - Him, or Dorsey or the weapons
wettlaufer replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
YAC this year feels far above any prior year in the JA era. -
When you stay at relatives' homes, sometimes you get the crappy bedroom or whatever. But complaining about the situation on social media, after the club tried to make it right twice, is rude. He's part of the family, but he's still largely a guest at this point. His comments were ill-mannered.

A Few Thoughts from the Commanders Game.....in no particular order
wettlaufer replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall
Really liked Brown as tackle eligible on five different plays. It lets him get down the field and use his athleticism to get out in front as a downfield blocker. He is freakishly athletic. -
A Few Thoughts from the Commanders Game.....in no particular order

I was there and this whole play by Epenesa was heads-up. I loved that AJ stopped short of the LOS and just dared Howell to throw it over him or cross the line, wherein Epenesa would flatten him. Once dude threw it in sheer desperation / career decision, Epenesa was in a perfect stance to grab it. As beautiful a pick-6 as I've ever seen and just a really heads-up LB play. Bills fans were loud and proud at the game. Agree Bills fans were over 50% of those in attendance. I think people made the trip down from the 716 and Buffalo expats came in from the Mid-Atlantic and Carolinas regions. Was awesome to see. Fun day. -
Nyheim Hines is suing the person who hit him on a jetski

No. I am speculating on a message board on a planet spinning through space at 25,000 feet per second. -
Nyheim Hines is suing the person who hit him on a jetski
wettlaufer replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
That's not what happened. Hines was sitting there on his stationary jet ski and homeboy came in and crashed into him. -
Nyheim Hines is suing the person who hit him on a jetski
wettlaufer replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
People do idiotic things on jet skis. Hines was enjoying his day and someone chose to be an a-hole and probably chose to buzz him. That's not Hines' fault. -
They wore them for 10 of 19 games last year, including both playoff games. https://www.gridiron-uniforms.com/GUD/controller/controller.php?action=teams-season&team_id=BUF&year=2022

Zip is lacking. Like his pocket presence, looks like a gamer. Leads receivers with touch, throws good risk-reward middle range passes.

I Am Not Optimistic Going Into This Season
wettlaufer replied to longtimebillsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm 54 and one of of the big lessons from the 1990s was enjoy every moment, root for a game well played, love the wins, don't take the losses to heart. Enjoy the great play while we have it.
