When I was 19(this was in 1984), i had a 1965 GTO with a 389 tri-power. One bad ass car. One day i hit a high school kid who was driving his dads brand new porshe 911 turbo. He had gone home at lunch from High school to take it back to school to show off. I guess he changed his mind because he tried to pull a U-turn in front of me. He didn't make it. I hit him right in the drivers door doing about 50. Totaled both cars. Wish i still had my goat.... -

gugny, Here is the link(hopefully) to the thread that explains it all. http://www.bbq-brethren.com/forum/showthread.php?t=23436 It is very long. i mean VERY long. but you can jump around and see lots of pics. And get lots of instructions on how to do it. I didn't use a kit to build it. I started with 4- 55 gal food drums bought of of craigslist. I paid to have them sandblasted. Drilled my holes, and bought my parts. assembled. Painted. seasoning burn with a nice thick coating of pam, nice and hot. and Voila! instant smoker.if i knew how to upload photos from my pc, i would....cant seem to figure it out...

I decided to make my own. It was cheap, easy, and turns out some of the best bbq around. Its called an ugly drum smoker. Google it. I like the fact that i dont have to tend the firepit like an offset smoker. Its not a traeger. (i admit to being a guy who would rather build my own, and use skill to bbq, rather then out of the box for dummies) And i have the capacity for 4 butts, or six full racks of ribs, or two 18 lb briskets, etc... the drum is a two rack, direct heat, charcoal and wood fire pit.... and the site i like is http://www.bbq-brethren.com/forum/some of the nations best professionals are on there and the place has everything you need, for any skill level. no snobbery, just fanatics...

Predict the Patriot Controversy
Zona replied to FullFrameFallout's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
With 3:23 left in the first half, the Cheaters were called for an offside on the kickoff. CBS showed the kicker go to the sideline. The trainer gave him what looked like a mouthpiece, and then reached into his pocket and palmed an item and handed it to the kicker. I couldn't tell what it was; and i am sure it was legal, but my first reaction was they were cheating.... i mean, it is a kicker, big deal. but my gut was.....freakin cheaters.... -
Why Drudge Remains Best-Designed News Website of All Time
Zona replied to dpberr's topic in Off the Wall Archives
god how i wish more people would think that way. New doesn't always mean better! The internet used to be exclusively for the young, but in the last 30 years, we got old, and now there are just as many fogies here as puppies. Less flash, more substance is appealing. No distractions. No annoying pop-ups. no embedded videos, or gifs....and the site still works! Good job drudge! -
Well, the size of the roast depends on whether you wants leftovers? I always smoke way more than i should so i can eat leftovers for a few days. If you have 8 people coming over, then a three bone roast should be more than enough. Get the small end when you buy. just ask the butcher for a 3 bone standing rib roast, small end. it will probably be 6-8 lbs and still have the bone-in. Now, for leftovers, i shave the roast as thin as i can on my slicer, and my wife makes a parmesan crusted sourdough french dip that is out of this world!!!!

We have all the family and friends over to our house for homemade Meatball or Sausage subs. Homemade bread makes the meal. an old family recipe we were given. We do the gifts, if their are any, so that the family can do their own thing on Christmas day. We have nerf gun fight with the children, plenty of adult beverages for the "adults". we reminisce about the past year, etc, etc....top it off with its a wonderful life before bed. In the past, the movie was on while we put the gifts under the tree. now, no gifts... As for the prime rib, i have done several. I even bought a whole rib yesterday. I always put mine on the smoker. I love the smokiness of the final result. Keep the rub simple, salt, black pepper, garlic, and onion. I smoke it low and slow at 225. Definitely use the two probe remote sensor to monitor your temps. I prefer the Low and slow method because that is the only way to get a uniform level of color throughout the meat. I want it rare to medium rare depending on guests preferences. hot and fast gives you a gray, well done outer ring leading in to a red warm center. not what i prefer, but you may. The ONLY downside to smoking it, i dont like the Aus jus because it is too smoky. So we make one from a beef base instead of from drippings. What i need to do is learn to make aus jus from the bones after i smoke, see how that comes out..... Good luck! And dont be afraid. its easy. only way to screw it up really is to burn it..... Merry Christmas everybody!

I dont post much anymore, but i wanted to share. I had my first hole in one today! 120 yards, PW. One bounce and in. I was playing in my Club Championship, and my buddy had showed up with his wife and granddaughter to watch. Even the Ranger was green-side to watch. Yes, I bought drinks for a whole lot of people after the round. 50 years old a few weeks ago, and i finally get an ace! Now go McGregor, kick some Aldo Arse!!!!! Raise a glass if you got'em people. I am in to the 18 year old Glenlivet now.

Colorblind fans watching had no idea what was going on...
Zona replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i am colorblind as well, and the game was horrible watch. All i really saw was 22 white helmets running around. When the camera zoomed in, i could see ok, but when they pull back to show a play, and they start moving, both uniforms and the field tend to blend together. -
Yeah, In AZ, the game starts at 630, and only on yahoo!!!

Penalty that happens many times per game but is never called
Zona replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
just for the record, the fins first TD was from an illegal formation. The TE was covered by the WR, and the TE went out, which should have called back the TD....
