Cruise Control: Do you use it?
That's No Moon replied to Southern McButterpants.'s topic in Off the Wall Archives
I'm guessing that sign is in place so that logging trucks don't jam up the entire road for 80 miles, not so that everyone else can speed past. If you are going the limit you aren't causing a delay which is what the sign is referencing. -

Looking at the surroundings I'm sure there are tons of cops hiding behind every igloo. -
If Goff is the QB I don't know how much production any of their WRs will get.

First of all the original article basically suggested trading him to KC because KC needs a developmental LB, KC is good at player development, and Ragland needs development. In summary, the author's premise was Buffalo is stupid, Buffalo doesn't develop players, Ragland is going to be wasted/ruined there so lets find a reasonable landing spot. IMO, the Packers are a better match. They also have a million WRs in camp and won't be able to keep all of the good ones. There's a trade to be made there if desired. Michael Clark or Max McCaffery would be interesting.

Only time I tend to use it is on the Chesapeake Bay Bridge on my way to the Outer Banks. Always multiple cops on the bridge, very easy to start speeding given the nature of the bridge. Oh, and re: 95. When it's moving you better be going at least 75 or you're a dead man. When it's not moving you're better off with a bicycle. -
What's this shiny metal tube thingy?

I live far enough in the woods with still a noisy enough spectrum that an antenna is useless at my house without a directional and a mast. Doesn't really surprise me that younger people don't know they exist, my kids have never seen one and my oldest is 11. -

I saw it in IMAX and thoroughly recommend it. Historical inaccuracy aside it was an excellent movie and I thought it did a good job of capturing the overall spirit of the event without trying to encompass the entire thing which would have become a 4 hour "The Longest Day" in reverse. You follow a couple groups of people through their intertwining experiences in a snippet of time in a snippet of geography in what was an extremely large event. It's not dialogue driven though you see some evolution of characters over the course of the film. I really only found 2 "are you serious with this?" moments in the film, one was relatively excusable the other was blatant. I won't spoil. You should be aware that the film does not flow from point A to point B in time, it jumps back and forth and you will see the same events from different perspectives several times so don't get all bent out of shape if there seems to be continuity problems, There aren't. It's supposed to be that way. Also, I feel the IMAX really added something to the film. I know it was shot on 70mm film unlike most modern movies so I don't know if that was part of it or not but it seemed like it belonged on the huge screen as opposed to some films where it's added on and it becomes difficult to see everything. It was great and I think the moving through time added to the sense of dread, despair, desperation, and foreboding when you see the characters in a struggle which you already know won't end well for them. Didn't find it to be depressing at all. -
It's before Labor Day so white shoes are acceptable.

Passed inspection means someone signed off on it, not that it was actually inspected properly and they apparently started inspections late because of rain. Who knows how thorough that inspection actually was. Yes, many times, and never once has my car or any other car in my vicinity spontaneously disintegrated while driving down the road flinging occupants 20' in the air to land on the highway. If I do happen to hit something, or someone hits me, my car is also equipped with seat belts and airbags not a lap bar and air.

Cardale traded to chargers!!

Interceptions aren't often the result of an inaccurate pass it's the result of an improper read or a forced throw. Rivers forces throws into coverage all the time. His career completion percentage is 64.4% though. Peyton Manning led the league in INTs too. I don't think anyone would call him inaccurate. -
Not temporary ones at fairs, carnivals or the boardwalk at least. The more times you take something apart and reassemble it the more chances for error you introduce.

Accuracy is a physical asset. He did not have it at OSU and didn't have it last year and won't have it this year either. -

With the current CBA practice time and OTA rules you simply don't have the ability to completely break down and rework your #3 QB anymore. Particularly if he's not super invested in working hard on his own and/or resistant to change. Even in camp there are probably half the snaps there used to be. Teaching a guy to have field vision and accuracy is nearly impossible by the time they've gotten to the NFL, hence you don't really see a lot of truly developmental QBs work out. More often you see QBs who were drafted low because of measurables such as arm strength or size work out than guys with cannons but no vision or accuracy. There is a window to learn those skills and those guys missed it. It was a bad pick when they made it. Getting a 7th is a win because he was going to be cut in about 3 weeks. -

They used to allow beer kegs in the stadium so long as you bought the keg a seat. A guy shimmied his way out onto the guide wire that holds up the kicking net, on purpose. I think the old timers would be able to hold their own. That said, that film wasn't as bad as it could have been but people should understand it will be used as Exhibit A as to why the stadium needs to go downtown and tailgating needs to be reigned in permanently. People are way too eager and proud to post their jackassery online. -

And for the record, it's good for fast food but it's still fast food. If they take the spicy chicken sandwich off the menu I'll have no reason to return. -
