Sure, MT is the starter right now in Pittsburgh. I just think it's more likely that he'd be the starter in NY at the end of year than in Pittsburgh. That said, if he IS still starting in Pittsburgh at the end of the year that means he played really well and Pittsburgh won a lot of games. If one or the other of those things doesn't happen, you'll see Pickett.

They could also do it in week 2 to avoid him being fully vested for the season and stick him on IR. The team can bring as many as 8 players back from IR during the season now. If they know they want to do this the benefit is he can get into the playbook even if he can't practice. You then also have the team medical staff involved for a longer period of time.] and you're able to utilize the 21 day practice window before activating him. In the end it will come down to money and what OBJ is willing to accept given that he won't be available for at least half the season. The other option is to let him sit out there until he's closer to being ready to play, but then you invite more of a bidding war with another desperate team who also wants his services.

Then why were they 6-10 the year in between the Super Bowl and Conference Championship when he missed 10 games?

It's insane that you can take your team to a SB and a Championship game in a 3 year span and get thrown away like a piece of garbage.

If he's just out there to catch the ball, yes. In a perfect world we have a real PR but that's not McKenzie I don't think it's Stevenson and I need evidence of anyone else catching the ball before I offer any sort of opinion. Catching kicks in Buffalo is probably the hardest PR job in football.

Until someone else demonstrates they will catch the ball reliably I want Micah Hyde to FC everything and be done with it.

In my experience, poor fan behavior increased this year compared to before the COVID shut down/parent lockout year. I had to throw four people out of a flipping middle school track meet this year for constant verbal abuse of meet officials. A track meet! Middle school!!!! Basketball was a giant mess, court invasions, near riots of people trying to come into sold out games, referee abuse out of hand. Id like to say hockey was better, but it wasn't. Parents kicked out for ref abuse, entire student sections removed for boorish behavior at high school games, brawls between opposing student sections.
