I never get hung up on the bandwagon thing. The more the merrier as far as I am concerned. It's just great to have a great team and be relevant again.

Can any of these NBA guys get open deep? Cuz if they can't we will be exiting the playoffs again this year.

The first one is literally all anyone has asked for. I have never seen a team work harder to "do something else". Terry must hate the 90's kit. Nothing else makes sense. It's the easiest layup in the history of layups.

I hate that Beane uses this as an excuse why he won't draft WR's.

It kind of is about that. Their average draft position for WR is late 5th round. If you include the first you gave up for Diggs that jumps to like 4.9. So they do not take that position seriously. They will invest in rotational defensive linemen over and over again in the first 3 rounds but not WR. I realize they took Coleman, we all hope that works. It was not without controversy and he has none of the speed fans have been begging for multiple seasons. Couple that with how even in years of dominant defense they get worked in the playoffs and concern that we are spinning our wheels is real.

The team that got exited twice from the playoffs with the ball in their hands with a chance to win and couldn't move the ball also says hi. They got stopped on 4th down 3 times. Chiefs keep giving Pat more toys, and they keep sending us home. The best look at a SB was the year we beat the Chiefs at their house in the playoffs right before coach gotta have a defense gave it back. We had the most dynamic passing game in football. God forbid we do that again

And they played in yet another SB and beat us. If our strength was our Offense the effectively neutered it. Guys simply can't take the top off.

Beane sounded to me like a guy who felt the pressure. Realizes he left himself open to criticism. The kind of criticism that will put hot seat pressure on him if the offense takes a step back and the reason is we can't get guys open deep. KC keeps stacking speed and we don't. If that becomes a problem he knows the NFL world will blame him. The trade up in the 4th was the point everyone scratched their heads. The Bills have put a TON of resources into the Def. Even years they were dominants they get worked in the playoffs. I would be uncomfortable too if I were Beane in this spot. He is no longer in control of the narrative and he no longer get credit for drafting Josh.

Only one of those things worked. A blind man could see nobody could get open last year. The defense compresses our pass catchers because they can't take off the top. Drafting 2 pass catchers in the last 2 years that can't get open doesn't help. Sorry but Jeremy is 100% right on this. It is obvious to anyone who watches film what the gap is.
