Sal is on the radio today defending this tire fire with injury excuses. It's to a point now the team needs to implode to get these clowns out of here and make a run in Allen's second act. The cap alone is going to cost us at least next year.

A 3rd for Amari was highway robbery. Beane seems to be on the short end of these deals. Even getting Diggs which was well worth the price was overpaid relative to what Arizona gave up for Hopkins. 3rd for Douglas was good value for a multi year starter though.

We were one Dolphin dumbass penalty from needing the ball back just to drive the field for a tie against a team that had 66 points hung on them the previous 2 weeks by (checks notes) Daniel Jones and Drake Maye. They keep shopping in the clearance isle for WR and we get guys that can't do it when we really need them to.

One thing nobody is talking about is the NFL rule on TD's/and 2 point conversions is if you are forced out of bounds and re establish both feet in bounds the play counts. I don't understand how everyone just sort of said yup when he was clearly forced out and made every effort to get back in. He met all the criteria for a catch then everyone just moved on. We spent the rest of the game chasing those points. I agree that was McD's best clock management performance to date. I hope that is the new standard because it was smart and if handled any other way we would not have won.

It does hurt. Gabe zigs when he should zag. He doesn't fight for contested passes. If it doesn't hit him in the hands he puts no effort into making a catch. You don't see any of this in a work out. Only in games where he will displaces someone else. Of course it hurts. Beane called half the fanbase stupid for wanting them to draft a WR instead of all defense. Then he does this, just like last year when they passed on taking anyone beyond Coleman in a "generational" WR draft. They picked Cooper out of the trash bin. Will do anything but give Josh a proper weapon.

Add to that Ross Tuckers point that we never get the one seed because he loses too many games he should win. Denver MNF being the worst example. I don't think they would move on. I do think we would have had a least a conf championship or 2 under a different coach. I also believe we could do a lot worse. For me we are potentially living a different kind of 7-9, not good enough to get us over the top but not bad enough to fire.

I think for those of us on the side of this article is, this is McD's 3rd defense. Most of us on this side simply want an elite pass catcher. Even last year in a historically deep WR draft they only picked one and traded with KC to give them their guy. I hope it works but this does have a run it back and hope Josh can pull an inside straight again.

This is exactly right. He didn't have a feel for it. Like he never ran a play to setup another play. It was mechanical for him. He got another shot and blew that too. I am guessing he will never be an OC again.
