  1. From PFF: What is more impressive from Gillislee’s performance is that he gained 61 of his 72 yards after contact and also broke two tackles.
  2. Didn't even crack the top 5 in PFF's defensive grades, so there's that.
  3. Lamar Miller needs 37 points for me. Outside of that, I don't care.
  4. Heard a lot about Dunker. Florida transfer, has played LT, LG & RG at TSU. @JoshNorris Tennessee State OL Jessamen Dunker and DB Ezra Robinson have been invited to the #SeniorBowl
  5. When I watched the 2015 Bengals game back last week, I was tracking Geno. Played primarily over RG and had Wood double/combo on him quite a bit. Left Richie solo with him more often than not. Wouldn't be surprised to see something similar watching yesterday back.
  6. I think yesterday saw the sweet spot for his workload. When Shady is fully healthy, we've still got to find a way to get TD Mike a good 13-16 touches. Games like yesterday when Shady is out, we have to lean on Gillislee more. I'm not convinced he's a workhorse back but he's the best option we've got in the rotation.
  7. Depends if you're grading on a scale. Groy played above expectations but, on a level playing field, probably not well enough to crack my top 5. Definitely want to watch him back, had a couple of nice run blocks. Athletic upgrade at C.
  8. Kyle Richie Tate Z Brown Gilmore (never saw that one coming from me, huh?)
  9. Didn't watch the game but saw the images of Luke crying. Apparently it happens with some concussions, emotional center of the brain gets rattled and you just can't stop. It's gut-wrenching to watch. He's on the verge of giving the game everything he has and that's frightening.
  10. UConn safety Obi Melifonwu invited to the Senior Bowl. https://twitter.com/UConnFootball/status/799343450797772800
  11. On field, I've toyed around with it. I grade into distinct structures so he's flirted with the toolsy developmental grade (3rd round-ish) and the long shot developmental QB (5th-6th, same as Cardale). I don't think the injury is a huge concern but it probably pushes him closer to the latter, especially considering the time he'll likely miss as a rookie. Off-field stuff was always a UDFA grade for me. I don't shy away from it, I think Chad is nuts. Only time I'd pull the trigger on him is when he does something worthy of capital punishment.
  12. Err.........YIKES! "Oregon redshirt senior TE Pharaoh Brown has been accused of violence three times since 2014 relating to off the field incidents, according to an investigation by the Daily Emerald. Two altercations include former teammates, one in 2014 where he knocked a player unconscious, the other in the summer of 2016 where he fought a teammate in a locker room. The most disturbing, however, is this note from the Daily Emerald, "Eugene Police Department investigated Brown for strangulation in October 2015 following a physical fight with his girlfriend at his apartment." Apparently, police concluded that the female involved was the aggressor, and no charges were delivered in any of the three incidents. Brown missed the entire 2015 season after a horrible late 2014 knee injury. He has performed well in his return to the field this year" http://www.rotoworld.com/headlines/cfb/62174/Ducks'-Pharaoh-Brown-accused-of-violence
  13. Rooting for Buffalo, that's it. Control the destiny that you can control.
  14. If he's not been humbled yet, it won't happen now. Got kicked out of his first HS in Pennsylvania, ended up at St. Joe's. Got kicked out of Clemson, had to go the JUCO route. Signed for Ole Miss and then threatens to shoot up a bar because of an argument with a bouncer. Now this. The kid just doesn't care about his football future.
  15. Time to blame the people around Chad again. If only someone would sort out this 22 year old man.........
  16. It's very clear that it means something to both Cyrus and his brother Arie. I'm pleased for both of them, they seem like genuinely decent guys that have strived for something since they were little.
  17. A stupid comment about playing too much man-coverage after giving **** to Josh Norman for playing a lot of zone over the summer. It's not awful but, for God sake, just be quiet you idiot If Stephon thinks he should've been paid over the summer for his body of work, that's fair. No secret that I'm of the same mind. If he wants to err on the side of caution, that's his decision. Personally, I think you get hurt more from a lack of commitment but it's his decision to play the way he is. I get it, not sure I wouldn't do the same with $30-40 million guaranteed riding on it. End of the day, he's a grown man making a decision. The consequences of those decisions are to be decided.
  18. Cyrus said he was "proud to be a Buffalo" I readily accept he's doing himself no favours with the way he's conducting himself at the moment (frankly, his agent should just tell him to shut the !@#$ up and take the no media fines) but his play isn't nearly as bad as people want to make out.
  19. He gets beat, it genuinely happens to every corner. Gilmore's just a deadly mix of contract year, sullen by nature and unpopular. He's had his bad moments but he's giving up a reception every 12.7 coverage snaps. It's hardly damaging when you consider the big picture. Granted, in the positions he's found himself in, he's not made plays he needs to (especially Week 2) but I don't think he should be getting the level of criticism he is for the play he's produced. It's like people are just looking to hold onto Week 2 and magnify every reception like others don't get beat. Little perspective doesn't hurt now and then. While I'm on the subject, I'm not for benching Darby either. He's responsible for 3.875 receptions, 59.25 yards, 0.375 TD, 0.125 INT per game. I told everyone that would listen that Gilmore was playing the better of the two but Darby just needs a kick in the pants. Hopefully this past week gives him that because the kid can play.
  20. You do understand that him playing off is schematic and not his choice, right? If he was freelancing like that, he'd be the one getting benched. And his per-game stats equate to 2.89 receptions, 50.5 yards, 0.11 TDs, 0.22 INTs. Not buying your "roasted regularly" stuff.
  21. Honestly, I don't think Corey is a bad option at all. He had a solid preseason including a great game against Washington. Against Arizona in Week 3, he proved he could play in the league. Gave up 7 for 73 and had a pick. It's about how they use him. If he starts, got to imagine they'll test him with Green early. Could be a cat and mouse game but I'm not anticipating Justin Rogers vs Geno numbers.
  22. I have no issue with classing Tony as Hall of Very Good. There just seems to be so many people that use nothing but stats (QBWinz needs to die a horrible death) to try and quantify that he's terrible when he's truly not. In terms of quality, I think he's a better player than Eli Manning. Just that when all is said and done, Eli has him by what 5-6 seasons and a pair of rings. I truly don't think the greater football public knows what they have in Tony. Maybe seeing him retire might allow many time to reflect on the player he's been.
  23. The mythical corner that never gets beat.
  24. The FA I've wanted all along at WR is Britt. You let me have him at $5m/year, I'm buying.
