  1. Pretty sure I jumped on the last one before the TO was called
  2. Oh, on that first drive, they couldn't fill or tackle for ****. If Ivory doesn't get banged up, it might've been a bloodbath. They seem to be able to buck up eventually and adjust but it's almost like they don't spend all week scouting the opponent and do it in the first half of the game instead. I don't "live in fear" with them so much as I don't have ultimate faith in their abilities, I expect some kind of failure every week (Meeks on the Lee TD, Ihedigbo missed tackle on the Ivory TD etc.) to occur. For all the Marrone jokes, the Jags OL had actually been pretty stingy with their sack rate all year. I didn't expect a huge amount of pass rush. It was pretty dispiriting that they could neither get home on Bortles nor play contain on him. Allowed him easy yards instead of working for it from the pocket.
  3. I'll say it again - Charles Clay missing every Wednesday with that knee can't be good for that chemistry.
  4. Brandon Tate is the return man we deserve.
  5. The T.O.P battle has been wild this year. We've had T.O.P of 24:26 in a win and 40:17 in a loss. In total, winning the battle we're 3-2, losing it we're 3-3. I do wonder if we just do less with the T.O.P than other teams do, run the play clock lower etc. I definitely think the defense overall has helped aid the low drive total as well but the numbers are all over the place. When we point to key moments of the season (OFF futility in Wk 1, run D in Wk7 etc.), we'll find different reasons for why things went wrong.
  6. If ever there was a week to throw Sammy a couple of screens........
  7. Total drives - 119 (7th fewest in the NFL) Three-and-outs - 29 (Tied-8th most in the NFL) Three-and-out % - 24.37% (7th worst in the NFL) Also, only 25th in time of possession. Only possessing the ball 48.64% of the time.
  8. Thank heavens for the small mercy that Colt Anderson is on our IR list
  9. For me, that's the infuriating thing about Tyrod. He's capable of taking those opportunities when they present themselves but seldom do we see him doing the right thing consistently. The margins for error in the NFL are minute. As you said, he's just one conversion a game from being in the upper echelon. I keep harping on about sustainability with this offense and I'm just not seeing it. I'm sure it's quite apparent that my patience is wearing thin. I'm pretty sure the scheme is getting enough targets open-ish for a QB to take advantage.
  10. Yep. We are 5th in RZ scoring converting 66.67% of RZ chances. The problem is, we're only 21st in RZ opportunities with 3.0 per game.
  11. That 4 inch vertical though
  12. I've tried to hate him. I just can't.
  13. Got to admit, I'm with one of the outsiders on this one. Matt Stafford has been magnificent. Jim Bob Cooter is a damn genius.
  14. Against an opponent begging the QB to throw by stacking the box and playing a lot of single-high.
  15. I'm with Gunner on this one, not 100% sold on his hands. Yet to dig into his 2016 games fully but he was a bit of a body catcher pre-injury.
  16. Like the 49ers deliberately holding every Saints receiver and making the clock run down to the point where they have to kick a FG. It's not entirely sporting but, as they say in Boston; if you ain't cheating, you ain't trying.
  17. It's not about wins being 'tainted'. They all count the same, no watter what dross they put on the field. It's about being a fan of the sport and, personally, I'd rather watch their best play our best. Sheer appreciation for the talent levels on show.
  18. But we're doing it without Aaron WIlliams. A unit needs all its biggest weapons to be assessed properly, right?
  19. I'm not letting this one get away. Tyrod is Rex's hand-picked QB. He can sink or swim on Tyrod's performances.
  20. There was what, four sacks against Tyrod where he ran out of bounds or got tackled instead of throwing it away. That was probably about 25-30% of the times I said it.
  21. Does Gilmore still suck if he let up one catch for -2 yards? Asking for a friend.
  22. Can't go near Rodney Hudson and those buns of steel again.
  23. Absolutely not. Teams play the hands that are dealt. Personal preference, I want to see our guys take on their best guys if humanly possible. Doesn't change the facts but damn, a win over a healthy Carr/Cooper/Crabtree would be fantastic for confidence.
  24. I'm one of those, I want Carr playing. The 'be the best, beat the best' concept. Although, if it comes to it, I'll happily watch 60 minutes of Kyle/Marcell beating the hell out of Pat McGroin.
  25. Not for the squeamish. https://twitter.com/CharlesRobinson/status/803015778895327232
