  1. The experience with Rex is why I'm not knocking it. Got to try something. Just don't hold your breath on an impact for a guy out of work for months, nearly 33 and is a decade removed from running a 4.77
  2. Asked a Lions fan for an opinion on Ihedigbo. Said he's too old/slow to cover, essentially a LB playing safety. He'll fit right in.
  3. The bit about Doug that pisses me off, especially as someone that's going to be writing on the draft, This class is such a great one to trade down and accumulate picks. The depth seems to be there but I don't think it's top-heavy with talent. Find me extra picks in the 3rd-4th and let me live, Doug!
  4. That 213 is actually 273. Zeke had 592 carries, Henry had 602 over the same time period.
  5. Well, lookie here! @NFLFilmStudy Bombshell from @LanceZierlein- he hasn't heard one NFL person who thinks Deshaun Watson goes in the first-round this spring.
  6. I know Zeke voiced his frustration about it, was it the Michigan State game? I don't remember. I felt, for the most part in game situations, they used him pretty smartly. With Cardale in for the Title run, they had him carry it 76 times in 3 games.
  7. What we clearly know is that he definitely blamed the safety help on the Hogan TD. During the Rams game, you're only assuming that he's turning to blame someone else. It could just be him trying to clarify something but you're at the point where you are willing to assume the worst. He actually doesn't open his mouth, he might even be looking around infield to see if a flag is going to bail him out from his mistake. I get why benefit of the doubt won't exist with Stephon but I'm not a body language expert, I'm only here to interpret football. On that play, he was slow to react and got done like a kipper. I've said all season that I'm not a fan of his self-preservation mode. It's his choice to make and it's a business decision, we'll see how that works out for him. At the end of the season and he gets that new contract (and he will get it somewhere), maybe he regrets playing within himself. It's his decision and, while I don't like it, I get it. He's got no long term security and it all comes crashing down if he picks up a serious injury. Nature of his business, most are in it primarily for the money and you see selfishness happen. All I care about is snap-to-snap consistency. He's not shown enough of that but I think his bad plays are being magnified hundred-fold. The guy under pressure is the one I've told everyone has been playing worse, even after all the coaching criticism of Gilmore.
  8. Zeke had 31 more touches in 3 years at OSU than Derrick Henry had at Bama
  9. Believe the 5th is the one we got for Cassel from Dallas. 6th is a projected comp pick for Bradham.
  10. This Darby thread turned into a corner thread so I'll put this here. Y'all really need to read this. Can't stress it enough, must-read from @Cover1Bills http://billswire.usatoday.com/2016/11/15/bills-film-room-breaking-down-stephon-gilmore-why-his-struggles-may-be-overblown/
  11. Using CBS - this happens, you'll see reports of a naked man in Manchester terrorising people. 13: R1P13 CB MARLON HUMPHREY ALABAMA 45: R2P13 WR COREY DAVIS WESTERN MICHIGAN 77: R3P13 C PAT ELFLEIN OHIO STATE 155: R5P13 DL DERRICK NNADI FLORIDA STATE 172: R5P30 WR DAMORE'EA STRINGFELLOW OLE MISS 192: R6P13 S MONTAE NICHOLSON MICHIGAN STATE 216: R6P37 LB CONNOR HARRIS LINDENWOOD
  12. Seen a lot of praise for him, can't say I've watched a single snap of his. I had a fourth round grade on him and got some threats from his family for it.
  13. What board was that, Bobby? I ask simply because Dan Voltz retired in August
  14. Not seen him play. TE isn't a position I tend to watch early, DB rarely has cut-ups of guys outside the established few mid-season. Typically get to them when I start watching full games.
  15. Oh yeah. Would've been accepted prior to Saturday and they're usually pretty good with letting the greater public know that guys were in contention and missed out through injury. Although I don't get it. Russell wasn't even draftable before he snapped in two. I dream of a roster with 53 of Sam. Really nice that 4 of the first 12 are guys I'm pretty interested in (to differing degrees).
  16. Senior Bowl accepted invites starting to come out: Seth Russell, QB, Baylor Davis Webb, QB, Cal Toby Baker, P, Arkansas Gerald Everett, TE, S Alabama Amba Etta-Tawo, WR, Syracuse Nate Gerry, S, Nebraska Cooper Kupp, WR, E Washington Jordan Morgan, G, Kutztown Taylor Moton, G, W Michigan Sam Rogers, FB, Virginia Tech Ryan Switzer, WR, UNC Tawan Taylor, WR, W Kentucky
  17. Always hesitate to call a guy a bust when they have as torrid a time with injury as White has had. He was a big part of their plans and it's materialised into just 19 catches.
  18. Oh snap!!!!! @AlZeidenfeld Alshon should probably seek out a refund on those "Performance Enhancing Drugs". They CLEARLY didn't work. #Bears
  19. I hope it was worth it. @BradBiggs Playing on the franchise tag, that is a major hit to Alshon Jeffery's wallet. Suspension will cost him $3,435,058.
  20. I tell you what. Replace Leidner with anyone else (I cannot stand him) and I'll sign up for that draft right now.
  21. I had a 3rd round grade on him, he was my top developmental QB. After his junior year, I honestly felt that his NFL future was backup QB or maybe a H-Back position switch. (I'll even include proof so you can give me **** for it ) - https://twitter.com/StephenCulley/status/627079942023589888 His senior year really impressed me. I didn't think he was capable of doing what he's done as a rookie but I definitely felt that his trajectory was pointing up after 2 straight years of improvement at the college level. He wasn't ever a great pocket passer but he started to show glimpses of decent mental traits, manipulating DBs and attacking what they leave behind. Started using his mobility to set up the pass instead of just taking off. Hard not to love the kid for who he is, really impressive guy whenever I've seen him speak. Natural born leader, how they reacted to him when his mother died told me a lot of the man he was. He !@#$ed up with the DUI but it was such an aberration given everything else, just a stupid mistake. When the season is over, I'll need to go through his rookie year and work out if I can pinpoint certain things about where he's improved. From live looks, lot of credit is due to the Cowboys coaching staff. He's not frustrating, per se. Jared Goff is frustrating because I can't see what the hell it is I might've missed with him yet.
  22. I feel more comfortable with watching OL, even with a diverse scheme like ours. I don't quite speak OL as well as I'd like (seems like half a dozen guys call the same block something different) but I find it easier than coverages. I'll never be 100% sure on anything as a fan or an observer. That's just a matter of fact and why nobody should ever take my word as gospel
  23. Haven't watched Speight in recent weeks but I wasn't a fan of his first few games. Saw a tweet about letting Peppers play QB, I don't hate it. Honestly think that kid could be the best RB this year if he played the position full time.
  24. You're not kidding. I never come out of it 100% certain on every play call or coverage. I'd like to think I know my stuff but I know I have limitations too.
