  1. I hope they're cautious with him, especially after McCoy. Shaq should be able to make hay against that Seattle OL.
  2. As a bipolar-ish person, I find this offensive. Also, hilarious.
  3. I'm not going to get on your case or anyone else's about the way he's conducting himself. I don't particularly like it either but I'm not in the business of getting mad because a sportsman shows crappy body language. You're talking to a Jay Cutler truther, for God sake. I've said it before, I pay my corners to cover first and everything else after. If tackling was a priority for me on the boundary, I wouldn't draft 90% of the kids from the college ranks. The ability to effectively cover is hampered when everyone else is playing man but you're still stuck in a zone call. Hell, it seemed like it happened to Darby too on the Torrey Smith TD so it's not a new issue. There's **** about Gilmore I don't like but you can't get on his case for giving up a score when it's on other people to get their job right first. That starts with Rex and with Dennis Thurman. If I'm getting mad, I go higher up the food chain for the big stuff.
  4. Quiet, the adults are talking.
  5. The entire secondary got torched because of a failure to communicate. As I've mentioned before, I think missing Aaron is a major part of that. With Aaron being such a major risk to miss playing time, why hasn't either Corey Graham or one of the designated backups that would replace him, been prepped to take command of the calls? That's a coaching issue, whether you like it or not. The emphasis has been on Gilmore's coverage bust despite the fact that he wasn't even the guy most involved in coverage miscommunication. In a contract year with so much riding on it for him, it's awful tape for him to have a dude like Hogan fly past him. I think, as selfish as it might be, he's got every right to flip out if there's an issue with getting the calls in. Granted, do it once he's crossed the goal line but I have no issue with him getting on the case of whoever is in charge of the calls in Aaron's place. The problem goes beyond Stephon Gilmore and I think we're getting fixated on one cog instead of the system as a whole.
  6. But a safety is going to be the force defender a lot more than a corner is. As much as I like Stephon, his tackling would be a liability in that scenario. It's why guys like Gerod Holliman and Jayron Kearse went in the 7th round. Wouldn't tackle if their life depended on it.
  7. The story could've been about the secondary busts as a whole. There were more than just one, yet Gilmore the focal point. The post-catch antics don't help but he wasn't the only guy that !@#$ed up on Sunday. Same way that last year, it was clear there were several defensive issues. Only thing that got talked up by those around the team was Mario. Scapegoat season has begun.
  8. Think about this though; even Jonathan Meeks said it was a communication bust. If the call was changed from the original Cover-2 call and it didn't get relayed (hence why Gilmore dropped underneath the route), that would reflect badly on Rex and his staff. The coach isn't going to come out and admit his staff !@#$ed up. Gilmore's as good as gone. He's getting Mario'd.
  9. I think Bob could start an argument in an empty room. Got to give him props, missed 2 games out of 24 with a pair of nasty injuries.
  10. Watch the All-22 earlier this season and watch #10. Dude gets !@#$ing irate at Tyrod every other pass play. I'd pay good money to hear the unedited version of him mic'ed up vs Arizona
  11. I literally don't know how I can make it clearer. Darby has been burned more than Gilmore.
  12. "I see dead money" - Blokes, 2016.
  13. I'd pay him $25m a year just to watch you react to it.
  14. Come on Bobby, that won't happen until 2018. Only run them out when new deals approach.
  15. Was his Twitter always private or is that recent?
  16. I'm aware. Just pointing it out if people forgot.
  17. And the $2m he's already on the roster for in dead cap.
  18. Might be as innocent as he's scaling back his social media presence because some people are vile little rats that feel the need to abuse him and his wife.
  19. I was pointing out the blindingly obvious. Nothing more.
  20. Literally paying him $3m this year for a couple of weeks work. What a life.
  21. Just from the broadcast, it sure looked like my boy Joe Thuney got taken to the wood shed a few times by Kyle. But 41 points, Joe was superb.
  22. 23 carries for 72 yards (including 15 to !@#$ing Brady!), five sacks, 10 total TFLs. I think it's safe to say the front seven did an outstanding job.
  23. The most gutting thing is him missing the Wembley game. Might have been my only chance to watch him play live. I will legitimately cry when he's cut/retires. He's the consumate professional.
  24. They didn't have Tyrod at QB, no way Brady's missing that read Not sure how you work that one out. Wood did plenty of good work 1-on-1. Does it help having someone good playing next to you? Undoubtedly. Just got to give credit where it's due.
