  1. Given the 78th version of Chad Kelly talk in this thread, I might as well throw myself into the hornets nest (yet again). I was watching a fair bit of Ole Miss last night, looking at their TE Evan Engram. Personally, I find it quite interesting to focus in on one player. I know Ole Miss don't run the most sophisticated offense known to man but, in isolating Engram, it might be the most dumbed down offense in the Power 5. Going back through games since Kelly first started, there's a pair of trends that happen quite frequently. Firstly, very little actually happens within the structure of the original play call. Secondly, receivers are having to reach back for their catches quite a bit, especially in the short/intermediate range. You notice this with Engram especially as half of the routes he runs are quick outs. Seldom do you see him led towards the sideline. If someone wants to draft Chad Kelly in the 2nd-3rd round, they're quite welcome to. If that man works for the Buffalo Bills, he needs to be fired into the sun.
  2. *Logs into Twitter* "Oh, I'm sure that this will be met with purely rational discussion".
  3. The difference between Osemele and Vadal Alexander is like replacing John Miller with me. Chris Jones gonna get 8 sacks, Carr gonna die.
  4. I got my Big Bird back, maybe. @JoeBuscaglia #Bills OLB Bryson Albright, a Practice Squad member, was practicing w/ the 1st team kickoff return unit. They also have an open roster spot
  5. I wrote words on a very good wide receiver. Draft season hath truly begun. http://billswire.usatoday.com/2016/12/08/2017-nfl-draft-scouting-report-heisman-dede-westbrook/
  6. I really set myself up for that one
  7. I think I've cracked it, fellas. Start from here, follow the chain. https://twitter.com/StephenCulley/status/806905585283133440
  8. #2 corner gets $9.5m/year and people think Gilly isn't getting paid top dollar
  9. No sense of adventure. Keep saying it, go get Moritz Bohringer from the Vikings. Tis the season for dumpster diving.
  10. I'm probably one of the most pro-Romo posters haunting this place and I wouldn't take him for market value. I think he's probably unable to take much more punishment and that's not a risk worth taking (quite frankly for the Bills or Tony).
  11. It's only the life of a QB because everyone allows it to be. Probably a good thing my sports career died before it began, I'd probably hop the podium and punch someone I think you can probably tell that I hate the fact that journalism is now akin to vulturism.
  12. Not to defend Tyrod or anything but, I wonder how the press would feel if he started asking them about their future earnings and job security etc. He might be getting ornery about it because you keep on asking him about it.
  13. If Tyrod wins all 4 games, I'll eat my socks. It's not out of the realms of possibility that the team wins all 4 (especially with 3 games left we absolutely should win) but Tyrod winning with his arm, nah.
  14. His technique has always been woeful, no doubt. Just last year, many were critical about him being too aggressive and reckless in the tackle. This year, the mantra has been that he won't tackle. There's been plenty of evidence to the contrary in the past few weeks and yet, it's glossed over for some reason. If you're going to call him out for not doing something, it's only fair to recognise when he does it. At least that seems logical to me.
  15. At the same time, if the rules weren't in place, how many players would ask for more after excelling early? I had no issue giving Tyrod a bump in pay for last year. I don't think many teams would do it, nor do I think the situation the Bills were in would find a parallel that often across the league.
  16. Technically, under the CBA, they can't re-negotiate until the end of the 3rd year of the deal.
  17. Maybe that was the original call and they checked out of it. Not unthinkable that it could happen with this D and a rookie.
  18. In the interest of fairness, not all good. @Cover1Bills Shaq appears to lose contain.Look would allow Preston to be clean if run to weak side. The bend back by Murray allows Hudson to get on PB https://twitter.com/Cover1Bills/status/806543655012077568
  19. Gets the most favourable matchup on their OL, up against Alejandro Villanueva. Given up 6 sacks, 4 hits, 28 hurries, 7 penalties called against him.
  20. I'd love Joe Thomas but acquisition price is a stumbling block. As is his salary and would he really want to transition to RT? There's about 25 teams out there where Thomas is a big upgrade at LT. I think the Browns FO would do right by him and at least canvass his opinion prior to it.
  21. A year ago, Denver wanted him. Browns wanted Thomas & 4th, for their 1st, 2nd & 3rd.
  22. It really does tickle me how much he's disliked. Literally been the best DB on the field since the NE game.
  23. Keeping Tyrod, the starting needs are - FB, RT, WR2, WILB, CB1, FS (maybe) Then a plethora of depth issues to address, as well as a probable $5.5m on Groy, Gillislee, Schmidt RFA tenders.
  24. Doesn't one of the shoutbox regulars work with a crane?
