Watch, Elway will find a QB
Blokestradamus replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The same John Elway that drafted Osweiler ahead of Russell Wilson and offered Osweiler $16m/year in the offseason. -
Shady said it best last week. Defenders see Felton in the hole and run out of it. Jerome is mean.

2017 NFL Mock Drafts & Top Prospects
Blokestradamus replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in College Football
There is a practicality issue when it comes to mock drafts. If I take a 1st round QB or double up on pass rushers after Shaq last year, I get ripped to shreds for that too. I respect the point BADOL makes and, for the most part, I agree with him. I just think that, at some point, you have to address holes on the roster that are there. I also think Adams would be a BPA candidate if he's on the board, it's just that position of need is a deciding factor when you consider talent levels. I did try to work an Alabama player in there. Allen is probably gone, Williams is a tough sell early, Foster would be nice but I'm not sure about taking another ILB early. You know my appreciation for Marlon Humphrey, I'd definitely consider him if Gilmore does walk. Same that you're aware of me being wary on Cam Robinson early. I appreciate the kind words. There's no hard feelings on my part -
Shaq Lawson - let's do this
Blokestradamus replied to Dragonborn10's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
For his long term development, I think Shaq needs to get down to that 260 mark. He was as high as 280 at Clemson and it showed, especially in the 4th quarter. When you weigh in the lack of time in training camp and preseason, I think he's done about as expected. The transition isn't always easy from DE to OLB and I think he's second-guessing himself at times. Playing the run and setting the edge was rarely an issue in college but he's crashed too often this year. It's still a work in progress but I'm not any less of a Shaq Lawson fan from what I've seen. -
How very dare you! I have one of their early albums, full of tunes

Care to expand a little on where you think I went wrong, Bill? Do you object to the calibre of player, the positions? Just curious. -
2017 NFL Mock Drafts & Top Prospects
Blokestradamus replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in College Football
I'm becoming more and more convinced that they think Cardale is the answer eventually. Can see him being QB2 next year, might bring in a cheap vet for TC. Can't see them drafting one if Tyrod stays. Production won't go up in the pass attack, big resources creates controversy. -

Working on the proviso that the option is picked up. Someone didn't read the disclaimers -

Bear in mind the disclaimers and whatnot, here's my mock draft for Bills Wire. Tell me how stupid I am. http://billswire.usatoday.com/2016/12/17/2017-nfl-mock-draft-buffalo-bills/ -
2017 NFL Mock Drafts & Top Prospects
Blokestradamus replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in College Football
When you consider Mixon, Westbrook, taking on DGB for a year, OU is looking like Baylor-lite. I can't fathom how consumed you have to be by success that you allow those players to be around your team. It's a damn shame because both Mixon and Westbrook are talented players. Both the kind of talents I'd make a stand for in a perfect world. Because of the talent, the NFL won't give a **** and they'll both get drafted (even if not until Day 3 as some kind of "We value women" punishment). The girl in the case, if she's done as Mixon alleges, isn't without fault. That being said, after the altercation outside, he follows her inside and it can only escalate if he does so. I'm not completely white (Iranian heritage) and I've been called some things I'd rather not hear, never once has that lead to me being violent towards the person saying it. You bite your tongue because people want the reaction, you don't give it to them. -

Talking of scumbags, the Joe Mixon video just got released. It's a tough watch but I implore everyone to watch it. The girl suffered multiple facial fractures because of this. http://newsok.com/article/5531208?utm_source=NewsOK.com&utm_medium=Social&utm_campaign=ShareBar-Twitter -

Just did my first mock draft for Bills Wire. I probably only did it for the reactions. -
The best offensive player in '17 draft, please Bills
Blokestradamus replied to Estro's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He's 6'3, 218. A 4.52 isn't "slow" and I'd honestly expect him to run closer to 4.45 with a really good 10-split. Not to mention, he's proven capable against the Michigan State secondary twice in his career. -
Ihedigbo placed on IR - Oy Vey the Safety position
Blokestradamus replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Colt Anderson, Phil Thomas and Damian Parms all on IR. Jonathan Dowling could be the 7th but I think they list him as a corner. College FS. -
DeShone Kizer anyone?

This is one of the throws from the Michigan State game. Building blocks QB, just got to put them together. https://twitter.com/JoshNorris/status/808750408390868995 -
If Tyrod was a UFA, I would be looking at him the same way I'm looking at other options (Glennon etc.). I'm almost certain he's not the franchise guy but, for the right price, I'm okay with him being a placeholder while I develop Cardale and/or another draft pick at QB. Not going to offer a starting salary or something that's a slap in the face to a guy I'm asking to absorb shots while I cultivate his replacement. That value is probably closer to the RG3 $7.5m/year mark than it is the Josh McCown $4.66m/year mark. It comes down to value. Tyrod has done enough to prove himself as a top-32 quarterback on talent alone. Someone will pay for that. He's got absolutely no need to stay at a cheaper rate. I wish the guy luck, I actually quite like the guy.

Hughes/Rob Ryan argument: What are the details?
Blokestradamus replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hughes: Hey fat boy, sort out the defense. Rob: Did you not see the Saints last year? I'm doing remarkably well. Rex: I agree with Rob. Jerry, you're benched. Hughes: Why coach? Rex: Because only I can call this turd "fat boy", that's why. -
DeShone Kizer anyone?
Blokestradamus replied to Mike in Horseheads's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
@CFBFilmRoom Keep in mind, Kizer's stats were definitely hurt by his supporting cast. ND receivers caught just 6 of 40 contested targets this year. -
DeShone Kizer anyone?

Away from Brian Kelly is the best choice he'll ever make in his life. I'd prefer he didn't declare now but I get it, got to extricate yourself from bad spots.
