  1. You're Neil Pert?
  2. "Dwight - Get out of my nook!"
  3. The Bills have always looked like amateurs in this respect. I really can't understand why this is so difficult. I'm usually 6 beers deep during a game and even I know when to challenge and when not to (and I'm not the only one). EVERYONE in the bar knows when to challenge. WTF!?! Just give me DJ's cell phone number and I'll text him and tell him what to do. I'll do this for FREE! What is the effing problem here?
  4. I found this on the intarwebs,,, I can't comment since I haven't been to any of these places, but it's a start.
  5. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Hold on a minute! You sleep in your car?
  6. I entered this: Here is the filter's response:
  7. Commitment. Keep driving on. Soldiers before you had it much worse and they didn't quit. Just keep going. That's what I remember.
  8. Here's a video of what Pete's describing. Also, the demonstrator is some fine eye candy.
  9. Hey, at least you weren't dumb enough to schedule a game at an SEC team like Tulsa did against Arkansas last week. Bad idea jeans. If Ball St were to go undefeated and get a BSC game AND actually win it (a la Boise two years ago), Jason Whitlock might actually dump his favorite topic (Jeff George) and never EVER stop writing about "The Ball". I can't decide if that's a good thing or not. Anyway, good luck!
  10. Not bad. I'd just add that Marshall's glove was both black and white and was to be a symbol of unification in the light of Obama's win on Tuesday. Also, Marshall mentioned in the post-game PC that Stokley is a savvy vet implying that he respects him. There's hope for the kid. Good stuff. Keep at it.
  11. The are so many questions: (1) Were they all the same size? (2) If so, were they the size of the accomplice? (3) What's the deal with 130 pairs? Why not 140 since that would be exactly 20 weeks' worth. I think I'd be more okay if this didn't seem so well planned out. They should have just said the dude needed to feed a meth addiction and freaked out. Instead it becomes another GBID thread.
  12. It's like porn, only the music's not as good.
  13. (1) I was wondering too. Maybe the $ being spent on the war on drugs is a payoff to EA Sports, etc NOT to develop this technology? (2) Strangely enough, I read that book when I was still living in Buffalo back in '96. I bought 4 little pocket books at Media Play (remember Media Play?) for $1 each: A. The Time Machine, HG Wells B. The Notorious Jumping Frog Of Calaveras County and Other Stories, Mark Twain C. Umney's Last Case, Stephen King D. Tao Te Chi: The Book of Meaning And Life, Lao Tzu I still have them sitting on my bookshelf. TTM was the last fiction book I've read - seriously. I get my fiction from TV now. All of the books I read now are pretty much market related. The last one was a collection of essays by Michael Mauboussin called "More Than You Know". The Eloi/Morlock thing is something that sticks with you forever. That was a fantastic book on many levels.
  14. Exactly my friend. About 15 years ago Dennis Miller was talking about "Virtual Reality" and said "The day that an unemployed auto-worker can sit in his barcalounger with a can of Fosters in one hand and a channel flicker in the other and F$%K Claudia Shiffer for $19.95, it's gonna make crack look like Sanka." It's really just the next step towards becoming an Eloi.
  15. Get up early Thursday and run in the Turkey Trot.
  16. Wrote in Ron Paul. Bob Barr is an opportunistic a-hole. Baldwin was an option, but I thought I'd go with the real deal. Tom Stevens wasn't on the ballot.
  17. FWIW, my NC ballot had two choices for POTUS: (1) Airline Food (2) Hospital Food I wrote in Ron Paul.
  18. Wow. How effed-up was that? I was a little kid (just slightly more mature than I am today) and remember having nightmares after seeing the hostages led out with those blindfolds. I don't believe in the devil, but if there is one I'm sure he looks like this guy.
  19. Robert Wuhl did a whole thing on this. Here is a [poor] copy where he tears up Franklin Pierce.
  20. Good call. I have a CD around here someplace with a bunch of Buffalo Bands doing TV theme songs. It was something that Shredd & Ragan put together to raise money for charity. I think "Nothing But Earth" did the Banana Splits theme song. Lance Diamond did "Baretta".
  21. I've seen exactly 45 seconds of Seinfeld's Elaine's show "New Adventures of Christine"(?), but it was pretty funny. They were in a drug store and the kid looked at the shelf and deadpanned, "Huh. A douche-bag is a real thing."
  22. Hey, Ron Paul got two write-in votes. That's somewhat encouraging.
  23. Walter Sobchak: Donny was a good bowler, and a good man. He was one of us. He was a man who loved the outdoors... and bowling, and as a surfer he explored the beaches of Southern California, from La Jolla to Leo Carrillo and... up to... Pismo. He died, like so many young men of his generation, he died before his time. In your wisdom, Lord, you took him, as you took so many bright flowering young men at Khe Sanh, at Langdok, at Hill 364. These young men gave their lives. And so would Donny. Donny, who loved bowling. And so, Theodore Donald Karabotsos, in accordance with what we think your dying wishes might well have been, we commit your final mortal remains to the bosom of the Pacific Ocean, which you loved so well. Good night, sweet prince.
