Done and done. Strangely enough, in today's mail I got an invitation to a wedding of two FSU grads. So there's that.

Holy hell, they're all moles! The chick from the medieval times in "Cable Guy" Billy Walsh from "Entourage" The Warden from "Shawshank" Soldier from "Band of Brothers" The Doctor from Enterprise The evil guy from "Storm of the Century" Jeeze, doesn't anyone do a background check?

Yup, you're right. Looks like Schulz played 8 games that season. Henry Jones, maybe?

Since this is 'historical Bills info', I'll put it on Off the Wall. On today's Adam Carolla Show, Jerry Rice was one of the guests and a caller asked who put the hardest hit on him. He said "Oh man, the hardest hit? I don't remember that one 'cause I got knocked out cold and I was droolin' and all that. And they take ya over to the sidelines and ask you what you had for breakfast and all that stuff." He said it was against Buffalo. Adam said, "You don't wanna say who it was?" And Rice answered, "I didn't see the guy!" The ACS podcasts can be downloaded here. The file with this story is 1525159 and the remarks are at the 7:40 mark. Any guesses as to who laid him out? I'm thinking the '94 no punt game and Kurt Schulz.

{She's My Cherry Pie Cool Drink of Water What Sweet Surprise, Yeah} Hey everybody, get those dollars out! Amber to the main stage! Hour of power about to start! And Hey, the leader of the free world just walked in the door! Welcome Mister President! Tip those ladies! -
I've mentioned this before, but the method that Alton Brown used on "Good Eats" has worked very well for me. I use Frank's just to stay true to the original recipe, but I'd consider other sauces. Here are the YouTube links: The Wing and I, Part I The Wing and I, Part II For me, it's a two day project because I have the steamed wings sit in the fridge overnight. I use the drippings for gravy/stock.

Please tell me why Michael Bloomberg

He was night putting. Just putting at night... with the fifteen year-old daughter of the Dean. Not for nothing but the mayor of Newark, Cory Booker, just might be a major player in the near future. That is unless someone catches him in a pay for play scandal. (BTW, IT'S ALL PAY FOR PLAY! We've all tacitly agreed to it.) -
C'mon Mock. I think that's what he was getting at. This morning I got 3 emails letting me know that Jennifer Love Hewitt is back on the market. I could almost hear Scott, say "Well, how about that?"

Best TV Show never to make it past Season 1

Just finished watching all of the Freaks & Geeks episodes and the parallels hit you over the head: Angela = Lindsay Jordan = Daniel Rayanne = Kim Sharon/Brian = Millie Smart girl decides to leave her goodie-goodie friends from childhood behind to hang with the outcasts. F&G was much richer/deeper though. There was an entirely different story being told with the Geeks. However, both had great sound-tracks. Both were canceled far too early. I'm sort of miffed now that I spent the time watching F&G and it ended so abruptly. Oh, and the similarity to my own life (different gender anyway) probably affected me a bit. I'm quite sure that Angela/Lindsay ended up having their fill of the freak-life, buckled down and went to college as expected. They were much richer for the experience, though. Thanks to everyone for contributing to this thread. I never would have taken the time to watch F&G and Undeclared. -
Newspapers, as we know them, are dead. This guy killed them. Local news organizations will still fill a market need, and the writers will have a place. But this era is over.

I hadn't tried their wings. I'm sure they're good - they take care with their food. If you're into 70s schmaltz, Anthony's Runaway 84 (same owner) is a fantastic Ft. Lauderdale restaurant. It's designed to look like it's set up for jet setters of days gone by. They even have a guy roaming the place singing Sinatra songs. The food is really great with old school NY waiters taking care of you. I've moved away, but I keep in touch with a bunch of people there (Got a call just last night begging for my return - damn drunk dialing) so I'll have to send someone in to try the wings. Coincidentally, I'm making my own wings today. I'm using the Alton Brown "Good Eats" method we discussed a few months ago. I steamed them yesterday and I'll be baking/coating them later.

In the Halloween episode ("Tricks and Treats"), his wife handed him a cape and said, "Here, put this on." He looked at it and the camera paused on him as he gave a pensive, far-off look. Nice homage to SCTV. -
Deano - If you're ever in south FL, check out Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza. There are quite a few locations. It's a bit pricey, but the money goes to really fresh ingredients. I highly recommend the sausage with roma tomatoes. Also, there's some sugar in all pizza recipies (in the dough). It gives the yeast something to nosh on during the rising.

Both of those shows were on my list of "Shows I'll eventually get around to". Fortunately all of the episodes are on YouTube and I've wasted some time over the last few days watching them. Really fantastic all the way around. I really like Joe Flaherty as the dad on F&G. -
You can add Denzel Washington to that list, too. I think Cruise is a good actor, but everything has been clouded by the whole $cientology thing. Lots of people hated "Interview with the Vampire", but I thought it was great.

Since this is obviously the place for the ridiculous, did anyone catch Sean McDonough's call during the West Virginia-North Carolina game? WVU has a player named John Holmes and went he made a nice 10 yard run, McDonough described it, "John Holmes ... HUGE play... for West Virginia" You could almost hear him grinning he was so happy with himself. -
Wow. Now that there is some good comedy.

something tells me the US Government isn't concerned about the "middle class", my guess is they want to attract those with deeper pockets that can afford to spend money time and time again...ie, corporate donors...sad as that may sound to you and I, Congress is a fraud and their only goal is to get re-elected, its not even about governing, its about getting re-elected....I am a life long, die hard American, by the way. /same thing

Does anyone remember how to do a square-root by hand? The angle of declination at Ft. Benning GA is, (wait for it) 0! There was always the Army joke about why the Infantry was headquartered there (didn't require math to find). And that's why the Army always had to hire Bob Hope to tell the jokes. You know what happens when you're always the best at land navigation? You get to teach the class! Awesome. Hops: "Why are you mother-f(&$ers always getting lost!?!?! Let's say that I lacked tact. Anyway... Low key Christmas for our small family this year, but I got some great clothes and a few kitchen gadgets. My folks' PC was FUBAR'd by some malicious viruses/trojan horses/spyware/etc. It took a whole lotta patience on my part to get it right. I managed to dislodged all of it (as far as I can tell). I'm writing this on it, so I'll take credit for resuscitating this soldier. Being together is the best part.

I'm sure there will be some folks with a better opinion (Johnny Coli?), but if you go to YouTube and type in "Beginner Guitar Lessons", a whole bunch of stuff comes up including an entire channel devoted to the subject named (get this) "Beginner Guitar Lessons". It's a starting point, anyway.
