  1. Darnold is just one of 1000 things that Gase royally F'd up in NY... If I'm the Jets owner, I could care less to hear him say this kind of crap, it would actually piss me off. I wonder what Gase things he's done well during his time coaching the Jets. Hearing this sounds like a guy throwing in the towel while continuing to cash his checks. The guy is a child and a mental midget.
  2. Interesting idea about Baker and the Jets ending up with Darnold.. and further no longer wanting Darnold. I could totally see this as true. But Gase taking the fall? For what reason? His entire existence in the NFL post Payton has made zero sense. Somehow the Jets got into trouble with the wrong people and ended up paying this nut insane money, and I can't put my finger as to why.. I see Gase just adding to his baffoonery by saying stuff like this.
  3. The Steelers are a good team, but they might be the most average 11-0 team of all time.
  4. Totally agreed, it just wouldn't shock me if it happened with the salary cap decrease next year.
  5. Love this coach. The team works hard for him.
  6. If Brown could stay on the field, I'd agree, but his career dating back to the Cardinals has been injury plagued. We finally have a regime that doesn't get sentimentally tied to every player in the locker room. Either be on the field and perform, otherwise next man up. Us fans should get used to this positive change in philosophy. A speedster in this year's upcoming draft will be made to replace Brown.
  7. This team is improving week to week, season over season... The playoffs don't start tomorrow so there's more time to continue to get better. If you're upset about winning games like this, your expectations are impossibly unrealistic. Look at how our defense is shaping up! It was such a liability early in the season. This is a much bigger story line than any narrative of how 'un-pretty' the Bills won this game. The offense had an off quarter and turned the ball over a few times.. it happens against NFL caliber teams.
  8. Had to look it up, but Tennessee was 6-5 through 11, so I would think you'd get a good amount of eye rolls saying that this about Tennessee at this point last year.
  9. Tennessee didn't hit it's stride until the last quarter of the season.
  10. To clarify - I'm unwilling to accept the psychological aspect that fans make up and post on message boards in hopes that it fits their biased/optimistic narrative for the season.
  11. I have never heard a player or coach ever describe something like this to be as impactful as fans make it out to be. The majority of fans are too emotionally tied to sports teams to watch these games with an unbiased perspective. Case in point... do you think the Chiefs needed to beat Tampa yesterday in that specific manner to vault them going forward? No.
  12. Great analogy with Detroit. IMO I don't see the letting teams back into the game as the result of a mentality, but more so just players lacking making plays. To me, watching the games, the offense doesn't go into a conservative 'run the ball' shell once getting out to a lead.. they continue to push the offense. It has been mainly the defense showing up as a massive liability throughout the year. The Raiders game and Patriots games were wins where I thought wow.. these are games that the Patriots would normally win because the other team just panicked. I would have included the Cardinals in that bucket too if it weren't for the hail mary.
  13. This forum has gotten so whiny and sounds like this: "But why can't every Bill's player and coach make the perfect and better decision compared to his opponent 100% of the time, every time a decision or play has to be made, against other NFL caliber players and coaches???!?!" At least it'll give me comfort in the event that the Bills season comes to an end that so many idiots will be incomprehensibly irate. Lol
  14. The following happens to every team throughout the season.. 1-Win games when you play well 2-Win games when you play poorly 3-Lose games when you play well 4-Lose games when you play poorly The season is a marathon. You need to improve throughout all 17 weeks and continue to improve during the playoffs. That's it... there is no "magic formula" or "just what they needed" event.
  15. Basing your entire argument on the opponents record alone... you'll fit in great in this sub... smh
  16. It boggles my mind that so many fans assume what we're watching is a finished product. We're in the middle of year 4 of McDermott's time in Buffalo.. but realistically this is his year 1 based on the roster turnover he needed to get through. You do realize that the Chiefs are the best team in the NFL... and it's not even close, right? They have possibly one of the best offenses in the history of the game. This is the first season that McDermott has had HIS guys and only his guys on the team after turning over the roster... And it's about halfway through ONE season. So my point.. get some realistic expectations.
  17. I'm hopeful that the amount of whiny posts complaining about a team not playing a perfect game during a week 11 VICTORY doesn't become the norm for us Bills fans..
  18. Don't drink and post during Bills games, folks.
  19. We gotta shake this tip toe mentality. I want the Titans in the first round. There were so many self-inflicted wounds in that first matchup withTennessee, plus key injuries.. and we still had a shot to beat them. If we knock out Tennessee in the first round, there's no doubt in my mind that we will be headed straight to the Super Bowl. High Risk Highest Reward matchup!
  20. Haha no... It's useless statistic because there are an infinite number of variables happening to every team throughout the season. If you don't understand how that could impact the basis of the statistic, then you won't get it, which is fine. But if it makes you sleep better at night, by all means, this TOTALLY means Bills will be in the super bowl.
  21. Useless stat in that case. Teams catch fire, get figured out by opposing coaches, get injuries, throughout the season.
  22. Does this record update week to week as other team's 'winning record' may change?
