  1. Agree Dave. I hope Hairston is immediate. If it turns into another Elam situation then the franchise should just scrap drafting secondary players and look to acquire them late in the draft or via trade as they’ve knocked that out the park.
  2. Absolutely with you. Do I want them to draft a QB? Not particularly but there’s a couple of guys there who are capable of producing what they guys behind Josh right now are. Double down on that, look at it like the Pats and Eagles have done the turn of this century… drafted guys and traded them for decent compensation down the road. That’s a win/win to me. A win if they never have to play but are an improvement at the backup role and a win if you get something for him if indeed he gets a game here or there due to the worst possible situation. Can even go as further as looking at Joe Milton and the Pats last season… kid didn’t play anything other than a throw away game. Looked decent and the Patriots got something for future use. Now the guys is in a position to get a look at the starting position in Dallas if Dak doesn’t make it again… big difference if they guy has some tutelage behind a guy like Allen and co.
  3. Whilst that’s a nice premise, it’s pretty naive on Josh and the organization to add more veteran presence to help a guy who’s a vet himself and is just coming off a league MVP… This team isn’t sniffing the playoffs with Mitch Trubisky, Mike White or Shane Buechele filling in if God forbid Josh goes down.
  4. Im with you. However the amount of premium investments in the draft to that side of the ball over the last 6/7 years lead me to wonder if they finally get it right. I have faith, not doubt but I’m now at the point of questioning.
  5. Still a lot of quality that was projected in the 3rd to 4th rounds. Quincy Riley Josh Farmer (we aren’t taking another DT, surely?) Jalen Royals Elic Ayomanor Miles Frazier Bradyn Swinson heck, this may sound like a wild take but if Royals, Stinson and Riley are gone I wouldn’t mind a punt at Will Howard or Quinn Ewers to back up Josh.
  6. Dislike giving credit to a divisional rival but the Jets having a decent draft so far.
  7. YES!!!! Plenty of room to improve but the talent that could match the size is awesome to think about!
  8. Great pick by Jets. F—.
  9. Classy guy Evans is.
  10. might be one of the best roasts I’ve heard the last few years at these drafts. “Pipe down, pipe down…” after the chastising was the cherry on top lol
  11. very true. Not even close to the same
  12. Not a huge fan of him but the talent is there. Didn’t think he’d make it out of the second round. I’m sure the disbelief is the same as many of us. Will say, that chat with the media last night that was making the rounds showed me that the concerns about potential ego shouldn’t be present.
  13. Sadly. Panthers, pick 51.
  14. Last year was a let down. And they acquired a lot for him. Back to back years now. “No excuses” hits the nail on the head. Especially with Ben Johnson running the offense there.
  15. 7 in total. 3 more. 4/7 5/10 7/17
  16. Liking Chicago’s draft.
  17. Man… thought Rollins was never going to stop 😂
  18. What the heck is going on with Mike Green?
  19. I think it’s not the trade itself but the fact you’re trading up for a guy who you have 3, potentially 4 guys of the similar ability/style on the roster going into the season already…
  20. Johnathon Allen has arthritis. That knee stuff? Gurley is the only player off the top of my head.
  21. Another defensive player @ 72??
  22. Not the worst but they could have traded that pick, gotten more and still be looking to hypothetically get either Shemar Turner or Darius Alexander. Weird.
  23. So they’d want a third I’m guessing going by the lack of a second rounder?
