Brady and Belichick Deserve to Go Out On Top
buffalo2218 replied to Gugny's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ok maybe they’re better, but to deny they bent the rules a bit if not a lot is quite one sided, not to mention confusing. If they were that good, crossing the lines they crossed shouldn’t have been necessary. Deflategate was a joke? The joke was not even mentioning pulling of Brady’s texts from his service provider since there was an actual hearing involved. The NFL saved that franchise by doing as little as possible. They may be good, but there’s also arrogance the goes along with that, especially Bellichek. They got more than enough as it is now imo -
Week 14: Bills vs. Jets Postgame
buffalo2218 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I do agree with you on the running hurting his development part, but a lot of this can be attributed to the lack of surrounding talent. I would much rather see him pass more, god knows we don’t need Tyrod 2.0, but until he gets a better OL, we’re gonna see a lot of running -
Where are you on the spectrum??
buffalo2218 replied to Dadonkadonk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I fall under realist. Passing judgement on either good or bad games he’s had is premature. Like everyone else, I praise the good and hope he can learn and adapt with the bad. Really wished he beat the Dolphins tho. Even tho he didn’t, I saw enough to know the phish are gonna be cellar dwellers for quite a long time. Right there with the Pats when they finally do their rebuild -
Adrian Peterson--How is this POS still in the NFL today?
buffalo2218 replied to Mr. WEO's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ok here’s the problem I have, and it’s not Adrian Peterson I have the problem with. The problem I have is the people complaining about spanking a child. Ok, I got spanked with a belt, switch, toy race car track, just about whatever. Now the extent of what Peterson’s tactics were the first time was way too much. But as far as using a belt? I have zero issues with it. Because it seems to me that not using a belt today is part of the problem: Growing up, I never saw or even heard of kids killing other kids and teachers in school, how many times has that happened recently? There’s what’s called right to parent in the law itself. I don’t in any way advocate child abuse, using a belt is not the same. But back to Peterson, I don’t have any issues with him using a belt for corporal punishment, but the line is drawn there.- 155 replies

THE ROCKPILE REVIEW - What Is It With This Team?
buffalo2218 replied to Shaw66's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
True that it was one game, but for a guy that had zero OTA and training camp participation, it was quite impressive that he ran the offense the way he did. I’m not really sure benching him in favor of Allen is the way to go at this point -
I don’t necessarily agree with this decision. I can understand getting Allen more reps, but I think Barkley deserves another shot against a slightly better at this point team than the Jets. Not to mention I’m quite sure the defense would advocate starting Barkley given his performance with very little time to prepare. As Beane said, they have no plans to tank and while Allen may be the future, it wouldn’t be fair to the defense to accept possibly losing more games for the sake of Allen getting more reps. I think giving Barkley at least the start against the Jags would be ok, and if he stinks up the joint, then give Allen the rest of the season

Would Manziel be a better qb with this team?
buffalo2218 replied to Bfanlc's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm not really sure what this would accomplish at this point. Manziel couldn't cut it in this league once, did even worse in the CFL. Ability to scramble won't solve the problem with this offense. A lot of the issues are lack of execution and talent, Manziel already lacks talent so why add to the problem? -
Same can be said of Clay Matthews, I’m not sure why, but he seems to be the officials whipping boy lately. Which may actually bode well for Allen

Bills vs. Vikings 1st Half Game Day Thread
buffalo2218 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I realize I may get burned for sayin this, but geez, imagine if we still had Watkins -
I think Chicago would have traded their entire draft to make sure GB didn’t get Mack. Mack is an outstanding talent, but those lost picks are really gonna hurt if Tribuski doesn’t pan out

Bud Light "Victory Fridges" in Cleveland

I can’t begin to imagine how many fights are gonna break out over this scheme. Imagine how much beer they would need for every time the Browns lost -
How many WR's are the Bills going to keep?
buffalo2218 replied to njbuff's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Given Coleman’s injury history, I’m inclined to think they may keep 6 on the roster. -
Almost counts in horseshoes, but that didn’t happen. You think Peterman or McCarron would have had the night they had behind the OL Allen had? If you’re gonna nitpick the bad , give credit for the good
-
I’m willing to give Allen a pass on the inaccurate throws given how much pressure he faced with the 3rd team OL. They sure didn’t do him any favors, but that being said, you can’t deny he handled the pressure as good as a vet. I swear this kid has a bionic arm, it just seemed the 2 bombs he threw were so effortless. Fitzpatrick couldn’t throw that far with everything he had. I tend to agree with others that we need to see what he does with the first string offense and better pass protection. And I also agree to bring him along slow and steady

What Do YOU Remember about Thurman Thomas?
buffalo2218 replied to Fadingpain's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The first time I ever saw Thurman was during a post game interview after the Bills beat Miami. I forget exactly what the reporter asked, but Thurman's response was "They got their ass kicked". Given my hatred for Marino and the Dolphins, that response solidified my loyalty to the Bills.
