  1. The Peterman fiasco could also boost his chances as well. He overcame what a lot considered to be a huge mistake and still got to the playoffs with a far less talented roster than McVay
  2. I can appreciate Taylor's contribution to getting us in, but moving on is the only option barring a deep playoff run. Only then will there be consideration. I think the turnovers we forced contributed as much if not more than Taylor
  3. Browsing the Phins board, some are being civil but some are also being as salty as hell. The fact that we celebrate the end of the drought in Miami, in their own stadium is sheer bliss in itself. And I hope every Phins player and Adam Gase heard every scream
  4. Gotta give honorable mention to the fact that the Bills lockeroom in Miami was louder than the stadium was all day once Boyd scored that TD
  5. Can't argue that if I tried. But in Taylor's benching case, taking a step back may have helped him take 2 forward. The end result speaks louder than the assumptions of the decision being a mistake.
  6. I'm not fully convinced the Colts will let go of Luck
  7. Ok so let me get straight. Taylor throws for 56 yards at home against the Saints, yeah the Saints were good but were they so good as to say Taylor was in an impossible situation to play any better than that? Everyone acts like a starting QB has never been benched in this league because of poor performance. McDermott fully knew his team was in playoff contention and not one person has posted a single thing about proof Taylor would have been the difference maker against SD. For that matter, neither have the media. In Taylor's defense I will say that Dennison was not the best fit as an OC, but every bit of this criticism McDermott's been getting is moot now. The Bills are in the playoffs, the slate is wiped clean as far as I'm concerned.
  8. 3 and out punts amount to the same thing in terms of scoring, or in this case not scoring. Say what you want, but people arguing just to argue will never admit that even if Taylor had started, it'd still have been a loss. McDermott saw, like the rest of us, how bad Taylor really was against the Saints. Benching Taylor may have actually done him some good. It was a positive result regardless because now were in the playoffs
  9. Ok here's reasonable. TT 3 and outs with very few completions, is sacked about 6 times in the first half. But hey, he didn't throw 1 single pick. Bills still lose
  10. ANY QB would look elite playing against a team that has a 30 point lead dude. As for trying to rewrite history, that's the last thing I'm doing. In fact, at that point if history serves, Taylor was getting sacked left and right. The O line was getting blown up with Peterman in and you chalk it up to the Bills playing better in the second half? So in the first half, given the amount of times Taylor was sacked before, how would Taylor have fared?
  11. This is far from hate on Taylor, more of a justification for McDermott's decision. Ask yourself this, if Taylor had almost the same performance against the Chargers that he had against NO, would it stand to reason he wouldn't have played any better in KC? Bottom line is, I appreciate what Taylor has done. Were in the playoffs and he's a big reason why.
  12. Not as far as McDermott's concerned, Taylor would have taken twice as many sacks as Peterman threw picks
  13. Dude, if the Chargers were pumped, they'd have hung a 70 burger on the Bills. Benching Taylor may have actually helped him, sure did look that way in KC
  14. What was Taylor's statline against the Saints? Believe it was something like 50 yards passing for a WHOLE game, I'm not reaching at all. I understand McDermott's reasoning after that dreadful performance. Taylor might not have thrown as many picks, but do you really believe he would have fared THAT much better?
  15. As opposed to Taylor's performance against the Saints? Of course they did if the Chargers let off the gas with a 30 point lead
  16. Geez dude, the Chargers were up 37-7 at the start of the second half, did the Bills play better or did the Chargers play soft with a huge lead?
  17. I seriously doubt if the Bills have a chance to get one of these guys in the draft, they'd pass them up just to build around Peterman. Peterman has a very long way to go in terms of development.
  18. I look at it more like McDermott felt Taylor needed to take a step back after his horrendous performance against the Saints. For all we know it worked just fine considering what happened after SD
  19. Yeah starting Peterman really decresed the Bills chances of winning against a hot San Diego team on the road. Given how Taylor played against the Saints the week before, it's possible he could have been worse against the Chargers
  20. Yeah just set up a buffet in the Jags end zone, money in the bank right there
  21. While I would prefer to move on from Tyrod, I gotta give the guy props. Can't ignore that he contributed a lot for our first playoff appearance in what seems like a century. Yeah, he still has WR trust issues and takes way too many sacks, but you gotta admit, Peteman wouldn't have gotten us anywhere near playoffs
