  1. I think Chicago would have traded their entire draft to make sure GB didn’t get Mack. Mack is an outstanding talent, but those lost picks are really gonna hurt if Tribuski doesn’t pan out
  2. I can’t begin to imagine how many fights are gonna break out over this scheme. Imagine how much beer they would need for every time the Browns lost
  3. Given Coleman’s injury history, I’m inclined to think they may keep 6 on the roster.
  4. Almost counts in horseshoes, but that didn’t happen. You think Peterman or McCarron would have had the night they had behind the OL Allen had? If you’re gonna nitpick the bad , give credit for the good
  5. I’m willing to give Allen a pass on the inaccurate throws given how much pressure he faced with the 3rd team OL. They sure didn’t do him any favors, but that being said, you can’t deny he handled the pressure as good as a vet. I swear this kid has a bionic arm, it just seemed the 2 bombs he threw were so effortless. Fitzpatrick couldn’t throw that far with everything he had. I tend to agree with others that we need to see what he does with the first string offense and better pass protection. And I also agree to bring him along slow and steady
  6. There’s a personality you don’t see very often in today’s NFL, Tre has it for sure. Dude knows how to bring out the best in everyone after watching that
  7. I'm in wait and see mode once again. I learned to keep my expectations low and my optimism in check years ago. The only time I had high expectations was when we acquired Bledsoe. Since then tho, I don't set any expectations until the 2nd or 3rd week in the regular season
  8. For all the optimism surrounding Josh Allen, I think it's gonna take a bit longer than OTAs and training camp to get acclimated to the pro level. I won't be upset in the slightest if he proves me wrong. So at this point, I gotta give the nod to McCarron.
  9. The first time I ever saw Thurman was during a post game interview after the Bills beat Miami. I forget exactly what the reporter asked, but Thurman's response was "They got their ass kicked". Given my hatred for Marino and the Dolphins, that response solidified my loyalty to the Bills.
  10. I find it odd Dez would pass up 7 mil a year for 3 years in Baltimore catching passes from Flacco to come here and work with McCaron/Allen for a one year deal
  11. Found this tidbit on NFL.com, would this guy solidify our LB corps in '19? Thoughts? http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000930987/article/denver-broncos-decline-to-pick-up-shane-rays-option
  12. I can understand that to a certain degree. It's just another way a disappointed Bills fan copes with years of frustration. Think about it, if the Bills completely do a 180 with Allen, those same people will more than likely admit to being wrong, and every bit as happy as the next Bills fan.
  13. I've just now posted since the draft, I wasn't exactly anti-Allen, but I sure wasn't for him either. Now where you're kinda stepping on toes here is that a lot of Bills fans have every right to criticize a move the Bills make given the last decade or so. You gotta remember, there were players in past drafts a lot of Bills fans hit on (Russell Wilson, Ben Roethlisberger, DeShaun Watson etc). Now you may have been able to shrug those picks that could have been Buffalo's off, but the same can't be said for everyone else. I get the part about being tired of the negativity. Me personally, I ignore it. Again, I'm not crazy about the Allen pick but I will go as far as waiting to see what happens. But to me, it's not right to go after even a group of people for how they cope with years of disappointment year in and year out. If the expressions are what you consider to be too negative, you gotta ask yourself, did they earn it? If they've been fans of this team for all those years, then yeah, I think they have earned it
  14. If Andrew Luck somehow resurrects his career, I can't see Mariota doing much in that division at all. Watson, Luck, Jacksonville's D. I keep wondering how he would have fared in Philly had Tennessee actually did pull the trigger for that trade
  15. I would be happy with any of the 3, not just Darnold or Rosen. The thing about the injury thing being overblown is that others, namely other GMs, think the same thing which makes me believe a hefty price will have to be paid to get him from where we are now. The third option of course being Mayfield.
  16. Not that I believe this, but suppose BB decided to retire instead? If you're Kraft, of the 2 which would you want to keep? Brady or BB?
  17. Unfortunately that sounds more like a mediocre past because the Bills have been doing that same thing over and over. Settling for Jackson or Rudolph is basically doing the same thing we've been doing for close to 2 decades now and it's yielded one playoff appearance. Time to break from the norm and roll the dice
  18. Ok so if we fill holes by keeping our picks, who's to say those picks will pan out any better than trading up for a top QB? If we miss on the picks we keep, then what? We can't keep taking shots in the dark on 2nd and 3rd round QB picks hoping we hit the bullseye in the dark. We've been trying that for over a decade minus Manuel and Losman. The common theme for this team's shortcomings has always been the same, lack of a franchise QB. Would you risk yet another failed lower round QB pick for the sake of filling holes elsewhere? No matter how many holes we have now, none is bigger than the QB position
  19. To be fair, I don't think the Bills can get to #2 without both firsts this year and next year's first. Indirectly, the Jokes did the Giants a huge favor moving up to #3. That being said, I'd still pull the trigger and make the trade anyway. Just because Beane said he'd rather build through the draft doesn't mean he's automatically gonna pass on a top QB when he has the means to acquire one. How would it not be a greater risk to hit every draft pick filling multiple holes than hitting a single pick for the most important hole to fill as you've been saying. I agree 100% with your assessment
  20. If I recall, Ajayi was traded before the fins played the Bills. I kept remembering thank god we didn't have him to worry about.
  21. All the more reason to gamble and move up this year. Seriously, missing out on Mahomes and Watson has to be the final straw. With all the grief the fans gave to guys like Whaley, Nix and Levy for missing out on QBs, do we really want to take that chance again knowing we have the ability to move up? I would risk it this year because to me, either way, McCaron will be the starter. I really don't want to wait another god knows how many years for another opportunity and waste any more time with project QBs until another QB heavy draft. How many years have we ignored the QB position hoping to be the exception to the rule?
  22. Getting a QB means nothing? That's where it all starts. If it means nothing, then how come the Bills had a 17 year playoff drought? Not to mention a trade up really helped the Eagles and completely turn the tide in LA. With the salary cap going up and the Bills being in great shape capwise next year, this year is probably the best time to gamble. Waiting for the next diamond in the rough hasn't worked for this franchise.
  23. This^^ Getting top D talent doesn't mean jack if that same talent wants to be traded after 2 years because we have a stagnant offense We didn't trade down last year to stay put, I simply can't believe that
  24. Probably because they've been trying to bolster the roster year in and year out. Which will basically mean settling for whatever QB is there at 12 will amount to continuous mediocrity at best. I want consistent playoff appearances, and that starts with upgrading the QB position. Can't rely on this team winning or that team losing every year
