  1. Communism is dead. Get over it. Btw, They have given more countries back their independence than invaded over the past 50.
  2. My "trade Glenn" idea wasn't this bad.
  3. like Kennedy reaching out to khrushev? Nixon and detente? Carter and salt? How many US bases surround Russia vs Russia's threats to the US? Yes, they're an evil empire. Nice people though.
  4. Signs seem to point to the "old guard" winning with Trump vilifying Iran, suggesting Russia "give back" Crimea to Ukraine, and sucking up to Netanyahu (being very wishy-washy on Israel stealing more Palestinian land...errr... etablishing new settlements...).
  5. The cartels are kind of like Wall Street banks, they siphon away the best talent because that's where the money is...
  6. Kucinich surely isn't some wacko conspiracist either. There's some deep **** going on, and whatever one thinks of trump, his election is helping expose the existent of a DS.
  7. Mad? No. Risky and Ballsy? Yes. If they assess that CK can fill Glenn's shoes, why not? They'll probably lose CK to FA after next season. He's started 5-6 games at LT, so I'm sure they know what he can do. It would be a waste to move Glenn to RT with his salary. Trading Glenn and signing Wagner actually improves the OL overall (solidifying RT), creates cap space, adds either a R1 or R2 + a pick, in a year when the Bills have multiple needs. The main downside is having the swing back up--I think Henderson can be that, but he will also be out 5 games to start the season.
  8. Spotrac had him at about $8 million/year. Given the Bills have 2 (good) left tackles, I've been wondering if it would be worth exploring a trade of Glenn to some needy LT teams? NFL.com's draft needs analysts suggest Denver and Seattle have needs at LT (Jags, Chargers, and Panthers also need a LT but I'm sure they'd only trade a R2 pick). Trade Glenn (and his salary) for a R1 pick, move CK to LT and pay Wagner. Risky and ballsy move. Would provide $6 million in cap space and 2 R1 picks. I think they'd only do it if they were confident that Henderson could fill the swing backup role, despite his remaining suspension....
  9. Prefer a "job guarantee" over BIG. Something for nothing versus doing something productive to receive an minimum income.
  10. It's not formally tied to the USD any longer, rather they manage it relative to a basket of currencies, heavily weighted by the $ of course. The yuan is the logical choice to become the next reserve currency, and IF the Chinese want that, it will be a gradual process. It surely won't happen until capital controls are eliminated and they open up their financial system. One step forward is the creation of the Asian Development Bank. The yuan was also recently given reserve status by the IMF. Regarding "breaking the pound," that was done by US as an "incentive" to get England (and France) to cede back the Suez canal in 1956.
  11. i wouldn't mind Thomas at all.
  12. The economy wavers on Trump's tiny fingers.... Don't underestimate the influence of Bannon. He will be the driving force on their economic agenda. The main issue they face is that the rank and file republicans will try to push through their long-standing agenda which in many cases will punish Trump's main constituents.
  13. If he decides to stay, I sure hope someone teaches him how to properly tackle to lesson the chance of injury.
  14. Agree with most of this, however Groy is an RFA, and I am sure they will tender him. I think Henderson is much better than Mills and has a higher ceiling for sure.
  15. Yes, it would be the Brown Brothers in nickel formation, unless they also draft Foster at 10, and PBrown would be the odd man out.
  16. Belichick needs to show that he can win one without brady.
  17. Top 3 FA needs before the draft: cb1, wlb and wr2.
  18. Thoughts and prayers ng.
  19. As I learn more about the prospects, my view is to pick (listed in order) one of Hooker/Adams, Foster, or Solomon at 10, and if none are available try to trade back. All of course will depend on what happens in FA. While I'm certain they will add a WR and LB in FA (I'm assuming TT is back), they really need a young stud at S. Graham is aging and AW's future is up in the air. If neither is available, then Foster, who seems the speedy type of LB that SM likes. Solomon may be the most controversial on my list. You can never have enough pass rushers, and this guy wreaks havoc from all over the line. I'm torn on the CB position. I don't think Gilmore will return. I could add "the best CB" on my list, but it seems it's a very good year, and there will be a lot of options at the 45th pick. And, if the Bills do not replace Gilmore in FA, then they will have to take a CB with one of the first 2 picks.
  20. Didn't we already have this conversation with a poll?
  21. As long as the Bills get a #2 WR, WLB, and CB in FA (whether that's retaining Gilmore or not), then I'd be OK with OJ at 10. Having 2WR and 2TE like Clay and OJ would make for a very difficult to defend offense. The only negative I've read about him is his desire, which is certainly a red flag.
  22. yes, you seem to have a Butt obsession...:-)
  23. he was an RFA, and they gave him the min tender which was close to $1.7 nil. The bills couldn't match NE's offer given their cap situation. While not close in $s, it's not unlike what the bills did to Miami with clay.
  24. Spend the money on bob woods and draft one of Williams/Davis, and weakness becomes a strength.
