  1. Some heads would explode, but they need more than one CB, and some good ones will be there. Most likely they will go for another need in R2 and draft another CB in R3.
  2. and they passed on the CB who has had a lot of problems with his hamstring.
  3. in McDermott 's presser, he used the phrase what's best in the short and long term. It's about time.
  4. Lattimore's hamstring issues worried me. this seems like a solid pick, and there a a few other subtle benefits, the cap for one. Just checked last year's salaries, and there is a $6 million difference between 10 and 27 over the contract life. I don't think this is a big deal, but the Bills do need to get back to a position of salary cap strength, and this is a subtle step that helps.
  5. After giving up so much draft capital the past few years, it's good to finally get some. 8 picks now, and KC's first as draft capital to move up for your qb next year.
  6. Going to be a long night...
  7. It's getting to the point where they could trade back to 12/13 and get a great pick.
  8. Former Reaganite PCR has been way out there, but this piece addresses one of the central weaknesses in the belief of "unfettered free markets." The Looting Machine
  9. Over the past several weeks the Howard Hype has accelerated, so I don't think he'll be there at 10. if he makes it past the Jets, then there's a chance.
  10. im an Angels fan, so it works. Scioscia.
  11. Much more informative than a R1 mock which will have the usual suspects. Thanks!
  12. how many coordinators are hired that are NOT successful on their side of the ball? I don't disagree on the main reason he was hired, but you don't get an interview if you ALSO don't have success in your specialty.
  13. Nosey. It's all about impressions...
  14. Interesting read. A couple thoughts: confirms that I still don't want any of the WRs at 10; OJ will most likely be gone; I doubt one of Adams/Hooker will be there, but one of Allen/Thomas could, and I'd be happy with either one; otherwise, trade back.
  15. Those are not rankings of actual economic growth, rather growth policies viewed as favorable by the ranking group. Here's a list of the fastest and the slowest ranked by GDP growth for 2015.
  16. I was thinking alcohol...
  17. Sometimes he looks slow and other times quick off the ball. His first NFL sack against Brady looked like he got off quick. That's the Shaq they'll need.
  18. Yes, that big of a drop suggests a flawed methodology. Games played is one variable they use, and the 2011 class was a pretty good one in that respect. However, do they adjust it by number of players drafted? 2011 had 9 picks and 2016 had 7. Pick by round? Etc. even comparing picks in the same round is difficult-- Jacksonville's pick vs the Pat's for example. I wouldn't put too much stock in it.
  19. Just finished season two, which has Dennis Quaid in it. This is one wild show. Shamans and evil pharmaceutical company mixed into the town where everyone is usually drunk on vodka. Good times...
  20. had it Peru several times, and it was fantastic. Finally found a local selling it at the Elmwood Farmers' Market.
  21. most likely because this year's rankings now excludes Dareus (2011), another pro bowl pick.
  22. Neocons in the media. http://www.alternet.org/grayzone-project/media-pundits-libya-syria-regime-change No looking back after their destruction of Libya; they have a new war to sell...
  23. as I posted in the past my generation has a significant impact on the stats. Part, not all, of the decline in the employment/pop ratio is due to this, as is the data I responded to--the demographic retiring is bigger than the current demo entering the workforce. As An aside, as GG noted about the crackdown on immigrants, it's surprising we haven't seen greater improvement in wages.
