  1. Scenario for a top pick in 2018. The Bills have a tough schedule as does KC. Another 7-9 season will land them in the top 10 again, and an Alex smith injury could do the same with their other first. If Chicago ends up with the worst record, they will be ready to deal.
  2. not at all. He's the head coach, not D.C.
  3. no disagreement. I'm a Whaley supporter as a personnel man, and i believe it's a good combination going forward--McDermott 's vision and Whaley/monos personnel assessments.
  4. It's the draft, where even the professionals disagree, and the proof isn't known until after the third season at least. In the meantime, TBD is entertained with the spectrum of opinions, from brilliance to idiocy. What we do know is McDermott is the power, and, whether you like or hate him, we'll find out soon enough if Whaley is included in his long term plan...
  5. i could see them moving up a pick or two using a 5th, but not going far enough up with the 3rd. Last year Ragland was a strong R1 talent for them. As you state, there's no one left who you s worth a big move at this point.
  6. i wouldn't call him slow though... http://www.nfl.com/draft/2017/profiles/kevin-king?id=2557996
  7. I was surprised that 3 WRs went in the top 10. You had 2 there, so maybe less of a surprise to you?
  8. No. I'm okay without cover sheets...
  9. Some heads would explode, but they need more than one CB, and some good ones will be there. Most likely they will go for another need in R2 and draft another CB in R3.
  10. and they passed on the CB who has had a lot of problems with his hamstring.
  11. in McDermott 's presser, he used the phrase what's best in the short and long term. It's about time.
  12. Lattimore's hamstring issues worried me. this seems like a solid pick, and there a a few other subtle benefits, the cap for one. Just checked last year's salaries, and there is a $6 million difference between 10 and 27 over the contract life. I don't think this is a big deal, but the Bills do need to get back to a position of salary cap strength, and this is a subtle step that helps.
  13. After giving up so much draft capital the past few years, it's good to finally get some. 8 picks now, and KC's first as draft capital to move up for your qb next year.
  14. Going to be a long night...
  15. It's getting to the point where they could trade back to 12/13 and get a great pick.
  16. Former Reaganite PCR has been way out there, but this piece addresses one of the central weaknesses in the belief of "unfettered free markets." The Looting Machine
  17. Over the past several weeks the Howard Hype has accelerated, so I don't think he'll be there at 10. if he makes it past the Jets, then there's a chance.
  18. im an Angels fan, so it works. Scioscia.
  19. Much more informative than a R1 mock which will have the usual suspects. Thanks!
  20. how many coordinators are hired that are NOT successful on their side of the ball? I don't disagree on the main reason he was hired, but you don't get an interview if you ALSO don't have success in your specialty.
  21. Nosey. It's all about impressions...
  22. Interesting read. A couple thoughts: confirms that I still don't want any of the WRs at 10; OJ will most likely be gone; I doubt one of Adams/Hooker will be there, but one of Allen/Thomas could, and I'd be happy with either one; otherwise, trade back.
  23. Those are not rankings of actual economic growth, rather growth policies viewed as favorable by the ranking group. Here's a list of the fastest and the slowest ranked by GDP growth for 2015.
