  1. I'm sure he wants his chance to be a starter. If the Bills do extend Poyer, then I'd expect him to test the market.
  2. While he's earned it, players also understand it's a business and teams can't pay everyone who has earned it, especially after their franchise QB earned and received it.
  3. ONce the season starts, the cap is no longer based on top 51, but 53 + PS (I believe).
  4. I was skeptical of your view initially, but after watching Beane's presser yesterday and reading between the lines, I think you are right. Beane took the blame for the draft mistake and said he'd have to go back and evaluate his processes, including assessment of player "intangibles".
  5. Your first guess was spot on. I don't think the others will happen though.
  6. Sorry, but even his name suggests he's done... Pau And he plays guard.
  7. I was wondering when someone would use this term--thanks!
  8. Yes, I have family there. I would too, but it's also well-known for its gray skies.
  9. Ha! He’s moving from Portland, OR, he’ll be used to it.
  10. They are very weak at TE too.
  11. I see your point, but I think Gilliam gives them stronger play than trying to plug an RB at FB and an OT at TE, and replace the second most snaps on STs.
  12. Gilliam is a hybrid HB/FB. He played TE in college and came in as an UDFA at TE. He played snaps at TE when injuries forced him to last year, so he adds to the mix there if needed as a 3rd or 4th. On STs, only one other player had more snaps, Matakevich.
  13. Yeah, they signed him after the dude from Washington reversed his decision.
  14. No, my first mistake was not starting the post with "Take it with a grain of salt...." It's one analyst's take on trying to rank the various positions. I don't view it as gospel--there are some I agree with, and some I disagree with, as I noted.
  15. Yeah, re-thinking it, they have two guys who have to prove themselves over full season in Davis and Lil dirty.
  16. Except GB's WR and TE rankings are 30 and 29 respectively, so AR has even less to work with (GB is ranked 1 at QB). So maybe #2...
  17. Sorry about that. Other position rankings not mentioned in OP for the Bills: WR = 12 (low imho) RB = 24 TE = 13 Edge = 9 LB = 8 CB = 8
  18. ESPN posted their position rankings this morning. The Bills placed 3rd overall, with S the only #1 ranking. Of their rankings, I think they are off the most on the Bills' DTs, 19th. OL may be their most generous at 14. https://www.espn.com/nfl/insider/story/_/id/34385106/nfl-position-group-rankings-2022-best-worst-units-all-32-teams-including-quarterback-wide-receiver-edge-rusher QB was ranked 4th.
  19. He's getting some time with Josh:
  20. The guys at Cover1 debate the Lewis v Taiwan. I lean toward the keeping Lewis over Jones.
  21. Baldy on Elam
  22. Like to give a little credit to @StHustle here who posted a similar response a week or so ago:
