  1. I'm in your camp. They are a good run-blocking unit, but below average in pass-blocking. I think the scheme will be used to maximize their strength. I agree on Peterman too, though I do worry about those outs...
  2. Seems this is about the hanging (of) judge Beane...
  3. O’Leary was at his ceiling. Thomas and Croom offer more size and speed, and therefore create more mismatches. As a converted qb, the third year will be the charm for Thomas. I think Croom’s physique gives him the potential to develop into a complete package at the position. He very well could make clay expendable next year as some noted. As ive said elsewhere, this TE group will be the strength of the passing game, especially with a qb who sees the middle of the field.
  4. It won't take much to upgrade CB depth...
  5. I believe Winning the first two is more likely than the second two. To your point, 2-2 would be a very good start against those four teams with three on the road.
  6. Grand conspiracy or grand cover up? https://www.tabletmag.com/scroll/257335/robert-muellers-beltway-cover-up
  7. Yes, thanks for setting it up!
  8. I think peterman will do a good job running the offense, and I think the TE group will be the strength of the passing game. The O-line will be more critical to its success though. On D, I’m most worried about depth at CB. I think the starting D will be fine, but an injury or two will make a big difference.
  9. They had a very weak group at the position. I still expect they will find someone on the waiver wire.
  10. Could be blowing smoke? They bring him on the 53 last year, and now he’s done? Hmmm...
  11. 1. Having your QB in place with a year under his belt 2. I assume you saw the Benoit tweet in the thread about their D 3. Which O-line would you want? we have Shady is about all one can point to for the Bills
  12. As others have stated, they are further along than the Bills, as well as having a year of experience with Trubisky.
  13. You only make this trade if you believe you are close—that the rest of your roster is strong enough to make a super bowl run. The Bills are two years away from making that trade.
  14. The bottom 30+ of this roster sucks.
  15. I'd like to see them keep 4 TEs: Clay, O'Leary, Thomas, and Croom. I think this group would create a very dangerous middle of the field passing attack. I'm sure they'd like to keep a blocking TE like Lee, so if that's the case, maybe it's time to move on from the grandson...
  16. I was in the camp that argued Allen should sit and learn for awhile, and he only starts if he clearly wins the job; he didn't. He was viewed as a very raw talent, and I think he's shown better than what many expected--myself included, but it's best to let him watch and learn a bit. Nate deserves the chance at this point.
  17. I wouldn't throw Teller into the fire just yet, though it's too bad they didn't give him an opportunity to go against the ones to see what he could do. He's going to have some growing pains too, so I wouldn't junk the current group just yet...
  18. It's the usual gnashing of teeth after a bad game, but it is still preseason ... a few other things to add: im a Teller fan, but much like Allen needs to sit and watch and learn, so does Teller. He'll crack the lineup in due time. The O-line is much better against the run, and that should once again be the focus of the O, I hope The strength of the passing game is the TE group--Croom and Thomas need to be on this team. Vontae should be fine, it's the fact there is no depth behind the two outside starters that worries me more. Unless AJ lights up the final, it's Nate on day 1. Btw, He seems to have a very good connection with KB and the TEs mentioned earlier.
  19. "A little" was the operative qualifier...
  20. Whiffed on his first opportunity, and it didn't get better. Bodine wasn't much better.
  21. Dawkins would've helped a little. They are a decent run blocking group, which is why they need someone who gets the ball out quick.
  22. He's the only one to play well with the ones, twos, and threes. It's going to be difficult for McD to go with anyone else at this point.
  23. Good comparison on the pass pro as they were both going against #71. It’ll be interesting to see if teller can take it from Vlad at some point; if not now, his day is coming.
