  1. No, it’s not that I’m not interested in real discussion. You don’t like that I’m not buying what you are selling. I don’t have ultimate faith in McD, but I think he’s our best option at this point in time. Oh, and you did just quote me. .
  2. I don’t know what he’s saying, but I’m saying QB Brady > Old Man Belichick.
  3. For reasons not to hire him, I’d have to add that he is an old man and an A-hole. I think Brady was more responsible for the culture. If we are just talking about building culture, I still prefer McD. I hope his in-game management continues to improve so we can put silly talk like hiring Belichick for HC to bed.
  4. Or…..win the Super Bowl and I will send a lovely, handwritten and heartfelt card along with some Incredible Edibles or something. Sorry, yes, healthy is good too.
  5. I think this dead horse has been beaten enough for one day, at least in my household. Feel all the angst you want, I’m eagerly looking forward to this season.
  6. When you’ve made your mind up, you latch on to things that support your beliefs…..whether they actually help your point, or not. Please don’t look so closely at the facts, because it sounds good and that’s all we want to know. McD isn’t just losing to a group of middling HC’s that happened to make the playoffs. He’s mostly losing to a 1st ballot HOF coach with a 1st ballot HOF QB. It’s his job to beat them, but let’s not pretend it’s an easy task. I think he gets over the hump eventually, but we’ll have to wait and see.
  7. I’m sure you would. I’d be happy to go to FOUR Super Bowls, and try to figure out how to get over the top since we were so close. But you feel free to tear down the team that just went to FOUR Super Bowls. Sometimes things get so emotional for some people that we lose sight of rational thought, imo.
  8. Still not as hot as the visitor’s sideline in the September sun.
  9. Now that looks like good clean fun. The History Channel has a show called “Hazardous History with Henry Winkler” and they did a segment on Jarts, those precious little skull piercing backyard toys/weapons/lawn darts. Apparently Romain Legionnaires used a very similar “toy” to conquer foreign lands. Some of those segments are SHOCKING when you see what used to be so common.
  10. I am quite happy in retirement. For $5 Million I could learn to be quite happy about going back to work for a year. I hope he’s doing it for the right reasons, and pray he keeps his life together. Maybe they are competing with the Jets? 🤷‍♂️
  11. It’s vintage already? Did you pay extra?
  12. OK, Porter sounds vaguely familiar, to give you a gauge of my awareness. But again, I ignore the NBA as much as possible.
  13. Great call on Taxi.
  14. My wife is out now learning to play mahjong with a good friend of Celine’s tonight. Funny that this keeps coming up. My wife’s recently deceased first cousin (but more like siblings one year apart) had a production company that did a lot of events for Celine. David Foster and his wife performed at Michael’s funeral. They were very close. Now my wife and his widow are entering new chapters together with my wife retired and her widowed.
  15. To your point, I’ve heard nothing about this. But it’s also true that if anyone starts talking NBA I change the channel. What happened?
  16. I don’t see it ever becoming a “league problem”, but I think they are susceptible to individuals like Tim Donaghy, the NBA ref who got caught. I don’t ever see the whole thing being rigged, but individuals are another story and much harder to control. Individuals, refs and players, are where they could be vulnerable. Any scandal is going to lead to a lot of backlash the league wants no part of, but I don’t see how it’s totally avoidable. People are going to be people. .
  17. This time of the season is about as busy as we are nice.
  18. If I were local and could easily get my 11 year old grandson there, I’d probably give it a shot. It seems like a thing a kid might enjoy. I’ll watch them play football, but I have no burning desire to just be in a room with any of those guys. It would be mildly interesting I suppose, but it’s just not my thing. Make it pitchers of beer and buckets of wings and you’ve got my interest! 🍺
  19. I know nothing about UFC, but I know for a fact that every year is a new year in the NFL. I’ve been watching a long time, and I’m certain of that. You never did, until you do.
  20. I am seeing a theme emerge. There are far worse interests.
  21. Exactly, I’m not going to worry about something that hasn’t happened yet. When it’s time to do what’s best, it will be more clear.
  22. People say Shanahan, but I think he’d be less than a great fit with Josh as QB. He gets by with Purdy at QB because the QB just executes the offense. Get the ball out to this spot at this time. That would seem like a waste of Josh’s most special traits. Oh, and those guys already have jobs, too. You should dream for something possible. What would that look like? Of course, when we change HC we change coordinators, and they have different schemes and player needs. So there’s the element of starting over to some degree, with no guarantees of anything. I’ll take the devil we know, because he already has us as perennial Super Bowl favorites every year.
  23. Sure, pick the first ballot HOF coach. News flash: Andy Reid already has a job. Guys like that don’t just grow on trees.
  24. It wasn’t in color at my house. .
  25. I feel pretty confident that most fan bases feel the same way from time to time. Nothing is perfect in life, but I do enjoy that we get to some big moments. Fingers crossed that he gets the Bills over the hump sooner rather than later.
