Kickers are like golfers. They don’t forget how, but they need a confident mindset. I pray he’s got that back, and it’s looking positive.

How about a flick with your pinky? I would pass on my wool socks rather than endure a pinky flick. No gift is the best gift sometimes.

Wool socks. My SIL gives them, and I thought it was stupid at first. I was wrong! PERFECT for a Bills fan! Oh, wait. You mean from the Bills? Silly, how would they know your size.

Thanks, because I couldn’t come up with any plausible explanation. Now it makes some sense. -

Do you think he’s better at his job now than he was when he arrived at the Bills? -

Apparently I have friends who are too lazy to drive to Goodwill themselves. -

A friend was moving out of town and came to visit one day bearing a never been used electric wok as a housewarming gift for us/parting gift for him. If I wanted a wok, it would NOT have been this little piece of crap. He’d had it unused in a cabinet for 20 years and never used it once. (Gee! That great, huh?) I thanked him kindly for the gift, smiled and changed the subject. The next time he comes over he brings the connection cord that goes with it, I just put it on the counter, and he gave me a curious stare. I had to explain to him that the reason I couldn’t put the cord with the wok is that I already took the wok to GoodWill! 😂 At least the cord fit in the trash. Free samples place??? I am shameless in a food court. -

Carry on with Over Reaction Monday, though I realize this is different. We win so much this hatred gets bottled up then finally gets released like a volcano popping off. . -

The whole “13 seconds” thing was then. This is now. People who can’t get over that may need therapy. We can all get better at our jobs over time. -

It’s hard to vent like that after we win, isn’t it? Thank goodness we do it more than any other team in professional sports not named the Chiefs. McD has us close to the promised land but can’t get to or over the finish line, yet. Your answer is to tear it down and do a “massive overhaul” because you want so badly to get rid of McD. Again, we just disagree. I. Feel good about where I stand here. -

There will certainly be SOME upheaval, all for a gamble on a new HC. How many HC hires are ultimately successful? How many will out-perform McD’ production over the last 5 years? The odds are pretty long there, imo. Everybody loves Ben Johnson, but I’ve heard people questioning if he’s really HC material. I prefer the devil (according to some) that we know. I believe McD a better HC now than he was 5 years ago. I’d like that to continue. Even little improvements now may get us over the top. You’re willing to throw that away on a gamble for a new guy, I disagree. 🤷♂️ -

Anyone who comes in will shuffle the deck to some degree. We will need to rebuild to a significant degree. How many times have we seen that? Different schemes require different skill sets. We automatically create some holes in our roster, because we are built to do what we do. It’s not nearly as simple as getting into the driver seat of the same car. Offensive and defensive schemes will change. Don’t kid yourself, that’s how it works every time. I’m not saying another coach couldn’t succeed. We obviously have Josh and a lot of talent, but don’t underestimate the upheaval. It’s a serious gamble, and we are already one of the best teams in the league. It was an ugly loss, but I’m not losing my mind over it like so many people do. We are still in this! -

It would take a lot to get me to stop following the Bills. Obviously, if they left WNY I’d be on my merry way. Probably second on that list would be hiring Belichick. You don’t start building anything by hiring a HC who will be 73 years old next season. I don’t hate him as a coach as much as I’d hate the decision to bring in a guy for one or two seasons. He just wants to catch Shula. That would be an idiotic decision by the owners, and I’d look at them in a different light (not in a good way). IF we were to hire someone, I’d want them to be younger, have a better concept of offensive football and not be a complete idiot when it came to personnel issues. He can coach defense, but he was one of the worst Co-GMs (along with his dog) in the league. -
I’ll take cover now…..

I know it’s baseball, so nobody is really doing much, but 15 years is a long time to sit at a damn bus stop!

I’m seriously looking for suggestions if any one has a three row SUV they love. We had a Honda Odyssey when the kids were young that was super functional with a 3rd row that sank down and allowed storage. My son and his family need more room than his 4Runner or her VW SUV allow. With a 2nd child and now 2 child seats, there is nowhere for the dog!!! Too much needed ”stuff” in the back. Kids do that to you. We like Toyota and I hear there is a giant Highlander? Maybe one of the other bigger versions? .

I know what the #1 seed is, but I’m less sure about the exact definition of “healthy”. I like our chances against anyone if we are truly healthy, but there’s always something. There’s a big difference between missing a couple ST guys and missing almost all our DB’s or, God forbid, Josh.

Nope, it was Vern Buchanan, also our former Congressman (we moved).

It’s not brief, but it’s beautiful. I highly recommend you give it a click when you have a chance.

The caterer arrives at 4:00pm for today’s game. Well, kind of for the game. We are having our neighborhood Holiday party here tonight at 6:00pm. I was not consulted, but I don’t mind as I’ll be with the big screen and pool table in the basement. They know where to find me if they want to visit. The Bills flag flying on the front door is fair warning!

It looks like my wife is back in the hunt, but for our son. They came to visit last weekend for the first time with the newborn, first child and dog. With all the necessary kids stuff in the way-back there is literally nowhere good for the dog to be. Car seats now are awesome as swiveling makes it SO MUCH easier to get the kids loaded, but there’s no room in between for the dog. Anyone love a vehicle with a third row that can disappear? .

My wife is in sales and she loves the process of the hunt. She gets all the facts and them pits the dealers against each other. Rule number one is don’t be afraid to walk out, according to her. She does that a lot. I can’t say she “wins” the process, but she does about as well as you could hope for. She knows a guy who owns a bunch of big dealerships in Florida and he told her he’s willing to give the new cars away to get your used car. He makes most of his money on the trade-ins. The last car she got she was offered $10k for the trade-in at a couple dealers, so she sold it to her niece for that amount. The dealer just would have marked it up then sold it, so I think she got a good deal. She had a disturbing/annoying experience at one dealership. She went to the sales office (alone) and noticed how every guy was immediately greeted, whether alone or with his wife. She was a by herself, and that apparently made her invisible. She was so taken aback that she went out and came back in to test it. Completely ignored again. She could have written a check for any car on that lot, but all they saw was a lady without a husband. Needless to say, she did not get her most recent car there.

If you happen to run into @Chef Jim, please give him some advice. Any advice, it really doesn’t matter what. .
