  1. Oh, Geez. You’ve just created a dilemma for me. My wife has already booked the hotel rooms and rental car for the opener, and she just keeps inviting family members! When she learned what ticket prices look like now she slowed down. Thank God for that! We will also be attending the “home game” (for us) in Atlanta. I thought that was my Bills schedule for the year, but my wife is from Rock Hills, SC, basically a suburb just south of Charlotte. She has a ton of family in the area. I’ve never seen an NFL game in Charlotte. If it’s anything close to the Nashville experience, I want to see it with my wife. I’ve been to I think 4 games in Nashville (nearby and my son lived there) but my wife never got to see that amazing scene. Tempting.
  2. I thought this answer might have come up sooner. My pizza will sit on the counter as I graze off of it after the initial meal. Eventually I stop grazing, and the box ends up in the trash in the morning. No food safety issues in my experience, and I’ve been doing it a long time. I know where I got my last delivered pizza from (the guy’s originally from Grand Island), but I’m not sure how many years it’s been. My wife mostly just eats pizza we make at home. Other than that it’s a cheap lunch to stop for a slice. That’s all the pizza I need. There are a few places with pizza that people love, but they only do a whole pie. We would need a crowd at the house to do that. .
  3. NO! I’m not talking about BEING committed! (Those records are supposed to be sealed.)
  4. I have commitment issues.
  5. I was watching the NCAA hoops tournament at a Buffalo Wild Wings with my son, his best friend and his dad. Some super drunk guys were getting very obnoxious and the language was foul. I asked them politely to tone it down, and they just got louder and asked me if I had a problem with that. Before I could say anything the other dad, Patrick, stood up and said I have a problem with you and your behavior. Patrick is 6’5” and about 275 lbs with fists as big as my head. He’s not led a cushy life, and you can tell he’s a dangerous man. Hallelujah! We had a March Madness Miracle! 😂
  6. I leave it on the counter, but if it’s there overnight it’s usually going in the trash in the morning. The wife will pop it in the fridge. She keeps putting tomatoes in the fridge, despite me telling her repeatedly how the cooking channels say don’t do that. I choose my battles wisely.
  7. Where do we play the Buc’s in preseason? You have to pay me a fortune to sit in the stands in Tampa in August to watch preseason football. I’m not sure if there is enough money to make that happen. That heat can kill you! I’ve turned down free early regular season tix in that heat.
  8. My wife really needs to stop inviting family members to join us for the opener. She just might have to un-retire!
  9. We will end up paying thru the nose in the secondary market with all the fees. We’ll be looking for 4-5 good seats but I’ll be patient. The wife already booked the hotel and rental car for the home opener. I’d say Bama, GT, Auburn and a few others come ahead of the Falcons.
  10. No, Brady took a few hits but whined about people being near him for a very long time. He learned to get the ball out fast, even if it was in the dirt by somebody’s feet.
  11. Brady never took a hit. That was his specialty.. Henry? Not so much …….but we’ll see.
  12. ….along with many others from WNY.
  13. Henry is a FREAK and we both know they will be eating the end of that contract. My point is, each of these guys are different, and different people will value them differently. Just because one team paid that guy $XXX does not mean as much as some might think. Like in real estate, one sale does not make a market. Teams didn’t start doing DeShaun Watson contracts just because he got one. I really like Cook. I love the big play threat he provides. I’ll trust Beane to do the smart thing. There really should be some acceptable common ground in the middle. Time will tell, but I think they’ll find it. If they don’t, there is always the Tag.
  14. Market value is vague, and will vary depending upon the team and how they plan to use him. This is a little like the QB’s who think the next guy up gets the new biggest deal. I hate that!! Somebody needs to tell these guys that YOU are not HIM. I like Cook a lot, but he’s not Henry or Barkley. We can keep him for a couple more years before having to break the bank, and I think he’ll be 28 by then. Not too old to get another deal, but I’d be careful not to drag it out too far into his 30’s.
  15. If they get greedy, that’s fine. Make him play the last year of his contract, and if he has a good year Franchise Tag him. I could live with that.
  16. This is great news, because he’s got to fall off a cliff soon. Right?
  17. Throw out the publicly owned Packers, and the Bengals are the only NFL team whose owner is not a billionaire with a net worth of $925Mil. When they give Burrow or Higgins’s a big contract, all that guaranteed money, hundreds of millions of dollars, has to be placed in escrow. They have a cheap mindset, but there is also the practical/financial side of things….they have limitations other teams do not. https://www.profootballnetwork.com/nfl-richest-owners-net-worth-ranked/ .
  18. The funny thing is, they may have the best owner in the state! 😂
  19. This is the bottom line. Everybody is different, and if Josh is comfortable that’s all that matters. Period. There is no point in anyone trying to pin their personal fears or concerns on his relationship.
  20. Damn! Good to know! You just saved me $1,000.
  21. Oh, the more digits you steal means that much more you can spend on your legal defense and cover up as needed. The big time bad guys have a better plan than my guy. My guy was slick enough to slip away, but he thought small and was impatient. This was about 1990 and we didn’t have the technology for security we have now. Had he stayed a few more months he would have figured out how to steal ten times that or more skirting security on wire transfers. I could have gotten millions. Sweet old Jeanne trusted me. 😂
  22. I really liked Shoeless Joe in Field Of Dreams. I don’t think he did anything bad. Pete? EDIT: I have to say that I don’t care.
  23. OK, not an executive, but a guy who worked for me in a bank branch got away with $41,250 in cash. Yes, I remember the exact amount. Fairly clever, and right before a 3 day weekend so we couldn’t verify it was missing. He skipped town and I never saw him again. Fast forward a year or two, and word comes in that he was arrested in the LA airport. They just thought he looked suspicious, and he unraveled. No telling what else this con man was guilty of, but I know it started with a cruise in Mexico. He went to jail somewhere, and I hope to never see the creep again. My sister used to teach in a prison and quit when she started seeing her students back on the streets.
  24. A buddy grew up in a small town in Canada down the road from the Friggenesi sisters. I may have spelled that wrong, but it’s pronounced the Friggin’ Easy sisters. He spoke of them often. I’m not sure what mom and dad can do about that except try to get them married early! 🤣 .
  25. My buddy has a granddaughter named Llana. The extra “L” in the front is so that if you spell it backwards, you don’t get anything to be teased about. Who thinks of this stuff?
