Well, that’s just not true. You need some luck and some health, and you need to peak at the right time. This team is capable of winning a Super Bowl, but only on our good days. Everybody has stinkers. That includes the Chiefs, Eagles and all the Big Boys. You don’t have to look too far back to see evidence of that. .

….and yet, we are third in the NFL in scoring average with 28.8 points/game. I want to see more consistent performances, but #3 in the league is not too shabby. EVERY team has ups and downs, but I think the big picture can tell us something too, including what you prefer to focus on.

The more I see, getting down to 20 sounds ambitious! I don’t think I’ve seen The Last Waltz yet? A triple, I believe. Much of what I see I LOVE, and some of it I barely recognize.

I think I have a solution. A piece of ownership exists in perpetuity. A $50 million/year contract is only for 4-5 years. Give them .00000001% ownership forever, plus minimum wage. 😋

Nope, the hardest part will be walking away from BILLIONS of dollars in TV contracts until the league is proven and a deal can be struck. Owners could act as the bank there, but we are getting rid of the owners. If your career only lasts a few more years, who wants to give up the vast majority of their income as an investment for future generations. Yeah, that would be nobody. Players are in it for the money. They won’t walk away from that.

But you also want to know what you have in the player. Not to mention, this sucks for this young man.

…and the fact that it just seems to be spot action makes me hopeful he can just keep doing what he’s doing. That would be great.

At that age I’d take a flash of flesh over going blind trying to see the scrambled Playboy Channel! Then again, at that age I’d take whatever I could get….. 🤷‍♂️

The title is misleading, and almost certainly untrue. Brady could not be a minority owner and play at the same time, right? I think the same is true for a kid coming out of college. There is also no way for the salary cap to account for this. I think the truth is they know this. It does bring to mind Dan Marino rumors when Wayne Huizenga was the owner. There were stories about Marino getting info and access to IPO’s as a form of boosting his total compensation. Not sure if that was accurate, but at least it’s possible (if possibly a violation of some type). If he could make $10 Mil in college with NIL (I’ve heard that is doable) that’s great today. BUT, you’d be missing out on a year at the backend of your career that could easily be $75 Mil/year by then. It’s a tough decision, because the wrong landing spot can ruin a career. .

Agreed. It can’t happen in the salary cap era. I wonder if Florio is giggling at starting this mess. “Reports” is a bit too vague for me to spend any emotional energy on. Nobody knows if this is even true, but it’s taken on a life of its own.

So, you want to create more tells on offense? Interesting. I prefer the idea of surprising our opponents.

For almost a decade I’ve gone to park several times a week. I’m often the only white guy there. One day a local police car went by and the guy I was hitting balls with stopped and pointed out they had a new paint job. That really meant nothing to me. He yelled out to the rest of the crowd “Hey! He doesn’t even notice the paint jobs on cop cars!” It was a big hit! LOTS of laughs! But it was also true to some degree, so it also sucks. .
