  1. It’s not brief, but it’s beautiful. I highly recommend you give it a click when you have a chance.
  2. The caterer arrives at 4:00pm for today’s game. Well, kind of for the game. We are having our neighborhood Holiday party here tonight at 6:00pm. I was not consulted, but I don’t mind as I’ll be with the big screen and pool table in the basement. They know where to find me if they want to visit. The Bills flag flying on the front door is fair warning!
  3. It looks like my wife is back in the hunt, but for our son. They came to visit last weekend for the first time with the newborn, first child and dog. With all the necessary kids stuff in the way-back there is literally nowhere good for the dog to be. Car seats now are awesome as swiveling makes it SO MUCH easier to get the kids loaded, but there’s no room in between for the dog. Anyone love a vehicle with a third row that can disappear? .
  4. My wife is in sales and she loves the process of the hunt. She gets all the facts and them pits the dealers against each other. Rule number one is don’t be afraid to walk out, according to her. She does that a lot. I can’t say she “wins” the process, but she does about as well as you could hope for. She knows a guy who owns a bunch of big dealerships in Florida and he told her he’s willing to give the new cars away to get your used car. He makes most of his money on the trade-ins. The last car she got she was offered $10k for the trade-in at a couple dealers, so she sold it to her niece for that amount. The dealer just would have marked it up then sold it, so I think she got a good deal. She had a disturbing/annoying experience at one dealership. She went to the sales office (alone) and noticed how every guy was immediately greeted, whether alone or with his wife. She was a by herself, and that apparently made her invisible. She was so taken aback that she went out and came back in to test it. Completely ignored again. She could have written a check for any car on that lot, but all they saw was a lady without a husband. Needless to say, she did not get her most recent car there.
  5. If you happen to run into @Chef Jim, please give him some advice. Any advice, it really doesn’t matter what. .
  6. What on earth does that even mean???
  7. Best wishes for your son going forward. That’s got to be rough. Our younger son was a very good athlete and could have played college football or soccer. He got a small taste of Lax somewhere and wanted no part of it. Apparently the kids who couldn’t keep up with him tried to level the playing field by whacking him with a stick every chance they got. In football he got to hit back, and that was his favorite part. My wife is still embarrassed by a TV interview in which he came out and said hitting people was his favorite part of football. She’s such a Mom! 😂
  8. If that means seeing him and Rodgers go head to head, I wonder if it could be a pay per view event??? No more streams!
  9. It’s the old “Josh wins 11-13 games a year, and McD loses the rest” way of thinking. Nothing is that cut and dried, it’s always a combination of countless factors. In the end, we will probably say the ratio is similar to Brady and Belichick. Nobody does it all on their own.
  10. My wife has some crud. She tried to work from home yesterday, and has just slept in a recliner all day today. And this is what “better” looks like. She’s not sure what it is, and I don’t know if she got a flu shot. But she needs to get better fast because we have about 70 people coming for the neighborhood holiday party on Sunday. Yes, Sunday. Right about halftime of a certain football game I have roughly 70 people showing up, and I am hoping not to be the live entertainment that everyone talks about every holiday season until then end of time.
  11. I have thoroughly enjoyed this ride, so I don’t see it that way at all. If they NEVER win a Super Bowl, it doesn’t take away all the good times I had and the friends I’ve made along the way. JMO
  12. ….and only ONE game this week. That’s the only one that counts right now. I get the sentiment, but I’m trying (very hard!) to remain calm.
  13. Time is relative. In retired guy’s years he’s middle of the pack. But he’s also unlikely to make mental errors, and they value that.
  14. ANY guy in a Bills uniform winning the Super Bowl MVP would be something! ❤️
  15. I think the next step should be Super Bowl MVP!!! 😊
  16. If he can guide Bishop to being a solid starter next year, I’m all in. A lot of it is mental and confidence. I just hope we don’t have to watch him chase somebody down.
  17. I’d fight you for it, but I’m really tired and I have a bad wheel on my walker.
  18. We don’t know what happened. I wish this story would just die.
  19. Who had December 4 in the pool???
  20. Barry Switzer is not a better HC than McD because he has a ring.
  21. I kind of like the idea that he doesn’t have to do all the scoring. That is part of why this year is different, Josh doesn’t have to wear his cape on every series. I’d like to see him get it, but won’t care in the least if he comes up short but the team is doing well.
  22. I think it’s more like 147 trillion yen.
  23. Very true! The tricky part would be having the right options.
  24. I’ve always felt that you hire competent people, and then expect them to get better as they get more experience. This is no different.
  25. Well earlier than 1993. It was hot garbage, and it was white with a red velour interior. It looked like a rolling brothel but she was unaware of how ugly it was.
