This is nothing……you should have seen me in college.

I have to mention, when our son lived in Nashville across the street from Vanderbilt the unit next door was Kelsea Ballerini’s. He kept saying “she’s a big deal!” but she just looked like one more girl in the hallway or at the pool to me. I had never heard of her before. My wife ran into her with her friend Tay Tay in the parking garage several times. That was only maybe 8-9 years ago? My how things have changed!

I’m not defending anyone, because I wasn’t there either. I’d like to know exactly what happened and how it happened before having a strong opinion. I find it works best that way. Look, it may have been poor messaging, but I want more than anecdotal reports that fit my narrative. If it was communicated poorly, that’s something they can learn from and improve upon. BUT, I don’t blame them for saying that the Bills have to stand as an independent business entity and they have to be self-reliant. They are a business for goodness sakes. What is wrong with that? It’s not just as inflammatory as “we have to maintain our luxury yachts and private jets”, but it’s the same message. Nuance matters.

Well, that’s good to know that you were there during the presentation and could read the minds of those preparing the message. That’s quite a gift! If raises are not expected, that should be communicated. That’s how it generally works in the real world. They told the truth, and that brings hate from some. I guess I should expect anyone who goes by “Fire Anyone” would be inherently negative.

OK, so I’m the slow guy now. If we win it this year, you can’t be happy and you will be banned from the parade! We have a good chance every year, things just haven’t gone our way…..yet.

I agree with this, except I think the loss in the regular season finale was a thing of beauty, and actually a sign of McD’s growth. That was a masterfully played loss to drop the Cheaters* out of the top spot in the draft. How to lose without looking like you are trying to lose is an art.

We are not that far apart, to be honest. I just give McD more credit than you do. McD would have improved upon that winning % given a little more time without Josh imo, but we are back to speculation.

Paywall. I’m just curious about context. People make this sound like this was done with some kind of callousness, or even vengeance. I don’t think that was the case. I don’t doubt for a second that that was a part of the message, but how was it shared and what nuances are we missing? EDIT: For the record, I don’t believe owning the Bills should negatively impact their lifestyle. I’m grateful for keeping the Bills in WNY, they shouldn’t be punished for it financially, regardless of how wealthy they are. . .

Again, just to be fair, I’d like to know the context and the exact wording here. I don’t blame them for acknowledging all their priorities, and in fact appreciate the full disclosure and transparency. But the key here just may be in the details, and we are thinking there. I think it took a life of its own, as was demonstrated above by Einstein. I’d just like to know more about it. A lot of things are easy to twist around to suit your point of view. What else was said?

I remember that storyline, but I’m weak on the details. Exactly whose account of that meeting are we relying upon? What was the context and what were the exact words? This always sounded a lot like sour grapes to me, with a disgruntled employee flavor to it. I’m not sure I’m buying the ugliest version of this tale. It’s made to sound as though they look down on the staff with disdain, and I don’t think that is the case.

We went to the playoffs without Josh, just a stop gap at QB. There is no way for us to know what some other universe might look like. .

I went to Letchworth as a kid, and honestly I think I remember it more from the slides than from actually being there. But everything I remember and hear is that it is stunning. Maybe we can make this an annual adventure before the Bills opener each year, go explore the area. We are going to Niagara on the Lake also, and I’ve never been there either. I left WNY for college when I was 17 and didn’t see all of what there was to offer. .

It’s funny, my wife is excited for the Bills opener and everything else we have planned, but when she saw video of the Gorge she got super excited. She’s a mountain girl at heart and we try to go to the NC mountains for her birthday each year. This is perfect for her!

Thanks, we booked at Glen Harbor. We are both looking forward to the little add-on before our scheduled trip.

They didn’t need collusion to know that nobody wants to be as stupid as Haslem and the Browns. The only thing they needed to say out loud was “DON”T BE AN IDIOT!” That’s vague, and simple, enough.

I was at the last Bills game in ATL, my first trip to the (then) new dome. We were well represented that day, and I expect that again this year! I try to make the home opener very year and one road game. The “road” game this year will be right down the road from my house. I can see the stadium in a distance on my way to Publix every day!

Science has yet to develop a little blue pill for the right arm, but they are working on it. They had priorities.

Gary keeps running into the Buick in the back corner of the end zone. He’s gonna get hurt eventually, he’s already put a big dent in the car.

I’m most interested in the opener vs the Ravens. I’ll be there with the family and it’s obviously a huge rival, but the real reason this one has my attention is that it is the NEXT game. The next game is always the most important game, even if we lose sight of that sometimes. Are we going to hold the fourth trophy in reserve somewhere? Maybe pass it around amongst STHers? It’s shaped wrong, I don’t see how you could drink out of it, and we ARE Bills fans.

This jumped out at me like crazy! I’ve spent much of the afternoon looking at adding some time before the Bills opener and going to Watkins Glen. My wife loves mountain/gorge settings and waterfalls. She saw about a 30 second video of the falls, and she changed our flights already. She really likes that stuff. I’m open to suggestions for where to stay for a night in Watkins Glen if you/anyone know the area. .
