  1. But nobody is working, and THAT is real. They are all available to have leftovers and watch a game on an otherwise wasted “holiday”. I think it’s brilliant, and wonder why it didn’t happen sooner.
  2. ROBOTS. They went overboard after the Tua fiasco. Take it out on Tua and the Dolphins, not the rest of the league and the fans. I’m all for looking after the QB, (especially OURS!), but there need to be limits to these horrible calls. It will run people off if it keeps going this way. How about we at least have real grass in EVERY STADIUM POSSIBLE. I’m seriously wondering, what percentage of concussions come from head contact with the turf? Sure, there are other possibilities, but it’s usually head on turf it seems. Grow some grass!
  3. …and if he doesn’t, I trust that that is for the best long term for our team. He will deal if it makes sense.
  4. I know concussions are a brain injury, and it can happen to anyone. Having said that, having a big, strong, athletic QB makes it harder to whip them around like a rag doll. I fear for Tua’s long term health as he’s not fast enough to get away, nor is he big enough to put up much of a struggle. BOOM goes the head off the turf. So now the league will have us lay them down gently on a down pillow. It’s getting further away from what I remember as “football”.
  5. All hail Wizard Beane! As did a few in the parking lot, as I recall.
  6. On my son’s freshman team his best friend was the QB because he played QB in little league. When they discovered his center was a girl, the HS ribbing began. It was fierce and relentless! 😂
  7. I was there, and this kind of reaffirms my feelings after that game. Seeing it again makes me want to call a hotline of some kind. I hope they don’t put me on hold again!!!
  8. Or kicking or grabbing in certain areas…..where they would rather not be kicked or grabbed.
  9. I have a couple questions: 1) Why do people think Buffalo would get a Super Bowl with a domed stadium? 2) Why do they care about a single event so much? Especially if it’s a game they will watch from home anyway due to the cost/availability of seats. (Other stuff that might be attracted have some appeal, I get that.) Buffalo is a great place and it doesn’t take a SB to confirm that to me. There is no inferiority complex for me. This is not a pro-dome or anti-dome comment. I just don’t see why hosting a SB is so important. Detroit and Minneapolis had one forever ago. Who cares? I’d MUCH rather WIN one than HOST one! .
  10. It appeared to be the Dolphins for a brief spell there. A season is a lifetime. Don’t get too high or too low based on a couple weeks of play.
  11. Yards per game are skewed because we’ve had so many big leads, but yards per attempt still matter. If anything, you’d think we’d give up a bit more because we have a big lead to protect playing for the pass. I’m very pleasantly surprised so far. Much improved.
  12. I used to play tennis midday in SW Florida several times a week. Not every hot day is created equally. Some days I’m fine, a couple days later I wondered if I might die, so I quit.
  13. It’s pretty new. I put a link in earlier, but there was like a $500 mil renovation that ended in 2016. THAT added the shade for the home bench. Early in the season it is a farce to say “we didn’t use tents, so you can’t either”. Look at the before and after, and tell me that is fair.
  14. I bet Urban Meyer now wishes he had refused too.
  15. I like being 5-1, but when healthy we should also lead the league in rebounding!
  16. Oh, you have no IDEA how relieved I am! Thanks, Doc!
  17. My lunch joint today had Grinders, as well. I’ll give up on trying to understand and just eat what tastes good.
  18. Exactly. There is no way on earth the Dolphins would subject their own players to that physical abuse. “Tents” are irrelevant if you are in the shade. This is pure BS.
  19. How unfortunate. I understand it’s a real issue, but they need to find away around this. We were creating some makeshift shade in the second half, but I forget exactly how they did that. There MUST be a better option than what they currently offer.
  20. Top: Unfair and dangerous for the visitors. Bottom: Fair, and equally dangerous for everyone. I still don’t love it for safety and competitive reasons. You can’t even see a teams best effort as they drop like flies in the heat. It’s why the World Cup in Qatar got moved out of the summer months. Even lousy FIFA knew that wouldn’t fly!
  21. Korey Stringer’s family thinks it’s already too late, not to mention countless high school and college kids over the years. IT IS DANGEROUS, and also unfair.
  22. Some people just cannot see reason. Feel free to carry on if you like, but it just feels like a waste of time. It seems to be a pure troll job, because the truth is so obvious. .
  23. OR, at the very least, the rules need to be altered to allow shade on the visitors side. To argue the home team didn’t use tents is ridiculous. THEY WERE IN THE SHADE. One team gets shade? BOTH teams get shade. It’s an unfair advantage, period. I’m not whining about losing that game. In a way, I’m kind of glad we lost and eliminated the “perfect season” pressure. But every single early season 1:00pm game provides an advantage to the home team, and could result in serious injury/illness or even death. If you think that is fair and safe, DC Tom wouldn’t even waste keystrokes on you.
  24. On a related note, mostly from the same people, Josh will never be accurate.
  25. Bills covered. I’ll be on virgin white sands in exotic locales with umbrella drinks………..until I’m broke again.
