Yes, I/we have endured some of what you have been posting. Results are things like going to the playoffs 4 of 5 years and being the Super Bowl favorite according to Las Vegas. Little things like that. It’s not just my opinion. It’s big boys. But you feel free to be you. I’m sure you were class valedictorian and have very high standards.

“Upstate” is upstate. It doesn’t matter where the dart lands if it’s not NYC. There is NYC…..and then there is the rest of the state, which is “upstate” of NYC. I have a terrible habit of correcting and informing people regarding that little geography tidbit. I’m sure more than one person has asked themselves “where the hell did that just come from?” when I was done. 🤷‍♂️ We all have our quirks. .

But I must say he’s a well shaven young man.

That’s all that needs to be said, really. He’s still there because he gets results. If not, he would have been fired already. And look at that top 5 group. They were HC’s decades longer, and other than Bellichick they don’t exactly have a collection of rings….and BB could only do it with Brady. It’s hard to win a Super Bowl.

Brentwood has some really beautiful and wealthy areas. Lots of rich (a good thing) and famous (not for me, thanks) people live there. The only downside is I think old Rex Ryan lives there.

If you are old enough and remember Bob Kauffman, forward for the Braves, this might mean more. He lived in our neighborhood and my sister would babysit their kid. Super nice guy! The detached garages between us were easy to get on top of with HUGE drifts! I jumped down into the drift below me on one end only to hear a loud THUMP! His VW Bug with a sunroof he used to goof around with was just under the snow. OOPS! Stuff happens!

The bold would only add to the bizarre and legendary events of this year. From cooked to death to not being get out of town due to 5 feet of snow. Throw in a botched snap in the end zone to lose against the Vikings, and we have a lot to forget about for this season! This is some crazy %$#@!

Somewhere we a have a picture of me talking face to face with the guy across the street. I was standing outside in the snow drift and he was in his second floor window.

That kinda reminds me of Minneapolis! Those folks rarely have to go outside downtown in the winter, and for good reason! Why is it that is the location of the only Super Bowl I’ve ever been to? It’s like the World Cup in summer in Qatar, why didn’t somebody realize that was a bad idea BEFORE signing up for the deal? EDIT: That was in the OLD stadium in Minneapolis and that place was a dump! I’d love to see a game, any game, in their new stadium. Even in the winter. .

But we’d be playing at home if we only had a dome! I read that on the internet, so…….. gotta be true!

That’s great, but we know those are fake. It’s just like the moon landing all over again!

It seems our puppy has eaten some rotten fruits. We have scheduled the carpet cleaners.

The heat doesn’t close roads and prevent people, ANY people, from getting to the stadium. This storm could do EXACTLY that, so they made the prudent decision. I don’t like it either, but I can appreciate how it was the intelligent thing to do.

It’s close, but I gotta give that one to you. 😋 I grew up in WNY, but spent more time in hurricane territory. We stayed home for Cat 1-3 and ran like hell for Cat4-5. But whatever, the point is you know it’s coming in some form, to some places. If you don’t get out of the way, and you get crushed, that’s on you almost always. When you gamble there are consequences to losing. You don’t want the Bills or NFL taking the flak for getting it wrong.

I remember when that happened. It was all anybody talked about!

They did prep the roads the next time it snowed, and the results were much better. But holy hell, that was embarrassing!

I wish I could disagree with you. I really do. This would be a recipe for disaster in so many ways. Something bad would happen, and it would be open season on the team and the league for putting a game ahead of people’s lives. Even if those people were willing adults who made their own decisions. Go figure. 🤷‍♂️

And YOU were one of the lucky ones! I know people who took a couple DAYS to get home! People who slept in hotel lobbies because they were out of rooms and nowhere to go!

Well, then they can use Sunday to start plowing their way to the stadium so they can start shoveling it out, it seems. It’s going to take time to clean up. Sunday isn’t the problem. Unfortunate timing for this crazy storm.

So I come home and open this thread, then turn on the TV. If you’ve seen The Day After Tomorrow you will understand the irony of this popping up on my TV.

It’s 42 degrees here in Atlanta. I just saw a guy with a ski mask on to keep his face warm. Either that, or he was on his way to rob a bank. That guy would be standing in yellow snow at the mere thought of this weather arriving! Atlanta was paralyzed a few years ago by a couple inches. Something like the weather WNY is expecting would be hysterical here!

Hyperbole much? To date, in the 49 years we have been in that stadium, this has happened all of ONCE. It might happen again this week, which would bring us up to once every quarter century, basically. . Exactly, you can’t play the game if you can’t get TO the stadium, with or without a dome.

Better go load up now. Snow tires won’t help when the car can’t be found under the snow! 🍺 🍻
