  1. Because he’s cheap and stupid, of course, and he will end up paying more in the long run. Pay them before anyone’s back is up against the wall, the way Beane usually does it.
  2. The Bills paid WR and DE (and CB) and did so wisely, something I think Beane deserves some credit for. You don’t have to cave, you just have to be smart about it in terms and timing. If drama gets involved, that’s probably bad for everyone (except Jerry Jones, because he’ll do anything for attention).
  3. No one? I think a lot of people get it all too well, and they come here to get away from all that. I have no problem with anyone voicing that, but I was hoping the thread wouldn’t go that way. Football is entertainment to me. It’s a diversion from how hard life can be. I won’t freak out if we lose week #1 to the Ravens. They are a very good team, and a season is a lifetime.
  4. I don’t agree that not much has happened since the crew from last year. We added more DLinemen between the draft and FA than usual. I expect at least 3 (Sanders, Walker and Hoecht eventually) to have a significant impact during this season, and that’s a good thing. Also, tilt that box and get every drop you can! It can’t hurt. 🤷‍♂️
  5. So, should I feel better now? Or are we still doomed?
  6. Everybody wants to be an A student, but sometimes life has other plans for us. I don’t really have any teams other than the Bills. The Braves left Buffalo and my interest in the NBA has since dwindled to zero. College basketball used to be my Team #2, but NIL and the portal made that unappealing. Baseball is…..sorry but baseball is just boring. I lost track of hockey when I left WNY for college in the 70’s. I rise and fall with the Bills, but I try hard to keep the highs and lows from being too extreme. .
  7. They are currently keeping a spot in the cellar warm for the Eagles when they arrive. The cap is an illusion, until it is not. .
  8. Your back doesn’t count.
  9. I never lost a Ferrari, but that’s another issue. They know the guy, they’ve been giving the replacements months to shown they are better, and they made a football decision. For better or worse, and we’ll never really know what might have been. Hindsight is prohibited.
  10. My Halloween costume was often ruined in a similar way as a child.
  11. There is no proper emoji. Those were two of the most gruesome things I’ve ever witnessed. The fortitude of Alex Smith to come back should put him in his own little HOF of some kind.
  12. Well played by the vet (and his agent), if that’s how it goes.
  13. So, you say we want guys who make plays in crunch time?
  14. I wonder if he’s ever gotten to the end of a lease in WNY?
  15. Ted Washington wasn’t available.
  16. We have a friend who got it done fairly recently. The right eye was more difficult than expected and they waited to do the other eye. She was making me nervous, but now that some time has passed she’s very happy. I hope the same goes for you! I have my annual eye appointment Tuesday and we will talk about it……. again. My right eye is pretty bad (I got hit in the eye which “put some miles on it” according to the specialist), but the left is MUCH better.
  17. ……and somewhere down the road he will tell the tale of his time in the NFL to some 18 year old kid who hasn’t even heard of his father.
  18. Not unlike his brother, who intentionally tanked job interviews. Sometimes you just get what you get, because that’s what you gave yourself.
  19. …he may not be the VERY NEXT monster, but maybe an above average monster in a year or two.
  20. I always get a kick out of guys who swing at your helmet. They have to find a better way to express their outrage, because nothing good happens to your hand when you punch a helmet. Your head should be fine. That’s kinda the point…..… .
  21. Very tempting! Think of all the cap space we could clear up! Good thing the cap is only an illusion. Rough day for a lot of hopeful young men, but it’s not necessarily the end.
  22. ….and I’m fine with that. We should not feel entitled to know everything they know.
  23. Well, he’s tougher than Dad, just not as talented or apparently intelligent.
  24. I didn’t bother to watch it. Just like when we run light LB’s out there, the result is it’s easier to run at them. We complain about that all the time. As I clearly stated, I’m not saying he’s not a great player, but it’s not all 100% positive. There are tradeoffs. Dwight Freeny was great, against the pass, but on the small side and a bit of a liability against the run. .
  25. I thought the bride looked nervous.
