  1. i thought the whole agreement is in place short of arod signing off on it
  2. this was a compliment? lol
  3. I havent seen any of that, but would love to. twitter rumblings im guessing? dude hasnt even shown up yet and has already overstayed his welcome LOL
  4. maybe not either of those, but it definitely strays the from the path of a proper rebuild. itd be like if beane did what he did, then instead of taking a swing on josh, had tried to sign rivers. theyre taking a dumb on their own butterfly effect lol
  5. the Jets are now pot committed to this lol they chose to wait it out through wave 1 of qb FA's, its starting to look murky, but they cant back out now. do they withdraw from the rodgers sweepstakes to sign....... who? heinecke? baker? i dont see this move working out for them either way, and by far the funnier outcome is rodgers saying nah, jk lol even if he does agree, its a bad look that he's hesitated this much. will remind me of watson clearly not wanting to go to CLE, but not having many options at the $$ amount he wanted if a girl waited a week to answer you on if shed let you take her out, how interested could she possibly be. this is hilarious
  6. id be on board with that. most criticism i see of MG is directed at his inbility to block. which sucks for sure, hines ward is the greatest blocking wr ive ever seen and he spent plenty of time in the slot, but how many slot WRs absolutely require blocking. ask him to catch a high volume of balls and keep the chain moving. i like shakir, but much in the way i dont want to gamble a season on Spencer elevating his play, we cant afford to gamble that shakir is going to be that guy either
  7. i think the WR position is worth the $$. weve seen the compensation for players at that position explode, and theres a reason. heck id still prefer we double dip at the position and still draft one high. w/ the way we see rookies hit the ground running, and the cost of a 2nd contract, and our teams dependency on passing game, i dont see an excuse to not a WR top 3 rounds for forseeable future. now if we hit big on a few we can alter that year by year, but that pipeline needs to stay refreshed. might even end up with a log jam of wr's putting up good #s with josh, and have some tasty trade bait down the line if were saturated at wr
  8. atleast the good news on that is it was 'just' a peptide. not like he got caught with clomid or something indicating a full blown cycle, was some variant of an hgh secretagogue. something he wouldve been using likely to help with a prev injury/janky joints kinda thing. i dont think were looking at a cushing/merriman
  9. the longer this plays out, the more likely i need to call a doctor.... its been almost 12 hrs side note, i cant decide which would make me laugh more: rodgers sparring with an angry liberal media (his favorite) orrrrrrr "nahhhhh. im good, im gunna mail it in back in wisconsin" epic fan meltdowns. rich eisen mouning publicly along with schrager, one of the Mike's... i actually like all 3 of those, would make for some epic rants lol
  10. no shocker there. beane leaves outs, but owns up to his word if the player does what asked to do
  11. i think it all depends on how the draft falls. if we get a chance to draft a serious prospect, i dont think you pass it up because we have spencer brown. would much rather have one too many starters (hopefully), than roll the dice and end up wasting another year.
  12. would love to now see another early OL, and see brown (healthy), play to the potential we saw when we drafted him. good drafts dont mean chitt without player development. we need one or more of our wildcard OL to make a healthy step up!
  13. this sounds a lot like an early investment into the position in the draft then? asking honestly
  14. Just no. blows my mind that ppl are ready to give up on a player so fast. we took him knowing he needed a year to bulk up. maybe that combined with a 3 LBer scheme, could be very interesting
  15. i dont disagree, just sucks to have the best NCB in the game, have given him a nice contract, and now hes a very situational player? Nobody shoot me here, but if theoretically we go back to a 4-3, what would taron's trade value be? not advocating it, just thinking of questions beanes sorting through
  16. My goodness, what a freaking all around blessing thatd be. holes from poyer and edmunds sounds huge, but when you consider we already played last year with only 1 of 2 of our safeties, its a bit easier to swallow.
  17. its been up and down. im not blind to the unseen effect he had on the defense, dude was a teddy washington NT for our secondary, made everyones (coverage) job easier. horrible analogy but it made me laugh and works in spirit. im a lil bummed out while understanding theres 0.00% chance we were offering 18m **********BIG QUESTION NOW: Do we see a more traditional 4-3? If so, how do we handle Taron? Asking those two makes mre think no. So who should i be keeping an eye out for draft/FA wise? @GunnerBill i honestly dunno what teams play nickel the way that we do?
  18. who dis?
  19. hasnt he been hurt a bunch the last 2 years? (edit: he has not, but felt like he lived on injury report last season) that was def AK
  20. Hows mcg's driving? make full stops? look both ways at intersections?
  21. this is false... but i dont think hes a realistic target anyways
  22. finally we agree
  23. Mcdaniels is black remember? thats why SF gets the whole 3rd round to themselves
  24. so an always hurt qb, being hurt, is less flukey than josh missing a weird pass? ok
  25. is THE factor
