  1. It's less crazy than it was 3 6ears ago. RBs had a bit of a Renaissance in 2022, and 2023 trended up in importance again. I'm not saying buff needs to follow, especially now... but league goes in waves. Running was important this year
  2. yeah. spending xmas in chicago last year probably still kicking around the back of their brains too. even if that stuff isnt the intention of the survey, those feelings are kicking around whether its conscious or not.... snowy buffalo will likely never rank high on this one, but if improvements can be made they should
  3. few thoughts, this is good all around to me. players are atleast in theory getting their education, being compensated fairly, gaining meaningful experience.... gives more tape for scouts to more accurately predict players, who should enter the league better than they wouldve leaving early. secondly, the real paycut for CW staying last year was waiting 1 more year to get that 2nd contract.
  4. Maybe she thought this was on the up and up, mentorship for her son... he wanted in the cookie jar, and when he figured out it wasn't happening, that short fuse was lit. I'm blown away at the amount of dudes standing up for this dork. Beat up his pregnant gf, could've killed the son.... survived.... tyreek is on a recorded call talking about breaking his arm at 5 and saying "at least he'll fear me"... no charges. Last summer getting physical with an old fishing captain.... and half the board is "whoa whoa, let's wait till the facts come out". Her legs broke. Tyreek s history is ONLY putting his hands on people weaker than him.... while being a pro athlete at thattttttt I'm 35, and short of Ray Carruth, and maybe Darren Sharper/kellen Winslow ii, he's the biggest dirtball to be celebrated in the sport of the last 2-3 decades
  5. Breaking your sons arm just caused too much noise i guess 🤷‍♂️
  6. also for the "$$$ grab" crowd..... she had a wild surgery on her leg and the suit is for $50k........ in our countrys healthcare? theres not a penny leftover for her. even if she has top notch health insurance and its free.... missed time from work. physical therapy. half dozen plus doctor visits and follow ups. possible loss of function. factor all that, and then remember Tyreeks contracts. this is not a money grab, dude belongs in a cage
  7. with a random clean slate dude? sure. with this human excrement? absolutely not. its constant and its always the lowest of the low of every off-season. at this point throw him in jail for being DB Cooper, thts the level of credibility he has
  8. All the negative reactions are emotional. All this b-wording will vanish the second he looks even 80% (and he will) of his 1st season he was here. After seeing Tre the year before, nobody should've had unregulated expectations for this season. Mark it down, feel free to quote this anytime between sep-feb
  9. Yep, i think theres a great chance whoever can move up to anything after pick 15, is going to be a 2pt swing kinda trade. We go up some for Franklin, we get him (+1), and keep him off KC (+1). Opposite if KC does it. Whoevers looking to trade down will know this and leverage us against each other, not only do we have a common need, but a WR could really help tip power balance between the two teams
  10. i agree. the lady is a billion dollar business though, she likely has the biggest PR org in the world, whose sole job is to handle something like this. like i said, good on TS for donating.... just noting its weird to have that kinda PR firm and not have them be proactive. id be pissed at them if i were her
  11. insane. not only in a crowded area, but not even aiming. straight to cage, never come out again. what an absolute disregard for life, of completely innocent. infuriating ughhhhhh. really hard for that family to not play the 'what-if' game. what a crazy turn of events for them. have to think they will have a hard time even watching games, or seeing Chiefs hats/shirts the rest of their lives. imagine having that happen to the buffalo bills for you. your favorite thing in the world, and now you cant even see the colors without thinking about how your wife/mom was killed. 'i wish theyd just lost', or 'i wish theyd never even came to KC'. absolutely brutal all around. not gunna lie id have to leave Buffalo after that if i were still there
  12. i dont at all mean to be dismissive, i can sympathize with all that, sincerely i can. theres nothing we can do to undo the past and any cycle that started. its far from perfect, but obv civil rights have come a long way. at the same time those have improved, id like to see a matched effort. 'dont commit 5xs the violence as others' seems like a pretty low ask, and any 1% effort that community puts into solving this, will carry more weight than government and white society reaching out another 25%. basically this cant be solved, and is proportionately less ineffective to try and have white people extend their handshake even further to help, when the other parties hands are still in their pockets.... we should be trying to meet halfway, not 'we'll drive 5hours and meet you at the coffee shop by your house'. i think thats where the frustration comes from some accountability from within the community would go a long way. theres a frustration in the white community that things on that side of the fence have changed (rightfully so) drastically in even the last 20-30 years, but all we hear from over the fence is 'its not enough' or outright hatred back towards us (been trying to avoid saying 'us' and 'them', as it looks confrontational, using it there as a white dude to share perspective). hate is hate at the end of the day, i feel hated by much of the other side for what happened wayyyyyyyy before i was born, and i didnt contribute to it. i can even understand the 60yr old from the other side seeing me and thinking hes probably the enemy... but what i cant understand is people my age and younger, hating me for the same thing. theres been nothing but progress in my lifetime, my generation isnt guilty of what happened, and with all respect 35year olds and younger have been overall treated well by regular white folks (i.e. regular joes, not cops/courts). im not trying to change anyones mind, or ruffle feathers, just trying to share a fairly honest perspective from a white dude my age. we've done a lot of listening, and theres certainly a fear of sharing a dialogue that honest, but i still think it needs to be heard. ill continue to share 'our' perspective in a friendly, but honest tone. not even because its 'my side of the story', but because the only way change can take place is somewhere in the middle. if both parties cant respectfully share their grievances, there cant be a middle ground. illl also continue to listen, especially from a friendly respectful tone of voice. it will always be the loudest / angriest voices tuned out the most, no matter where its coming from, even if its useful information. the biggest change in violence within the black community, is 100% going to have to come from within itself.
  13. honestly smart thing to do is anyonymous donation, or if going public for PR reasons, have statement issued saying we donated to help with funeral right now, as things develop for those injured/identified, we will reach out for ways to help honestly not even getting on her case, this was cool to do, but her PR staff shpouldve known the "billionaire can only donate to one?" hot takes would be plentiful
  14. respectfully, if a player ever had this type of miscommunication, theyre an idiot.... thers absolutely no way any organization doesnt cover the hell outta this topic, and make players sign 50 forms to communicate any and all RX to team doctors/league. getting suspended for a 'slip up' here is just not happening. but all these guys know exactly whats up and PR spin. i remember when robert mathis got caught with clomid, and said he was just tryna have more babies LOL or even more legendary, a pro female boxer popped dirty, and she blamed it on her BF creme pie ing her while he was on TRT lollllllllllllllllllll
  15. yep this feels like a plant story by agent the more i think about it. as far as i know, nflpa cant state what it was for. so player could say 'oh i had a Rx for ADD meds, and i didnt know i had to let league know'... meanwhile NFL seethes behind the scenes knowing damn well a player popped for testosterone or something like that
  16. wording makes it sound adderall, but also think this could be his agent requesting news outlets to put it out this way. i know publically stating the substance doesnt happen with NFLPA, but do interested teams get to see what a suspension is for?
  17. White policies force offenders to commit astronomical levels of violent crimes on their fellow man? Cmon, how long has this been going on. Sins of past is not an excuse to endlessly continue this cycle. It has to stop, and it cant happen without accountability. The only person that couldve stopped this was the kids who did it. 16 year olds? So born in 2008, these are hardly jim crow kids. It starts with parenting, #1 being present. When pre-teens only model of a father is a neighborhood teenage gang banger, this is going to happen. Its been happening, its never going to stop happening. #1 be present, be accountable #2 stop handing down the mind virus that is telling innocent kids, that other innocent kids that look different, hate them, always will, and will stop at nothing to hold them back. Self fulfilling prophecy planted in their minds before theyve had a chance to even begin to develop Theres no context to mindless violent crime.
  18. I get what youre saying but before the injury he was not a $5M back. after seeing Tre/Von, but a player at the most unforgiving position, i just cant see any way he survives camp. would take a major cap reduction, and a kiss from God himself on that ACL.
  19. You're thinking like a rational human. You dont get to the top of a career like this with a personality that can just decide to hit the "off-switch". Does Warren Buffett still need to make more money? LOL. these dudes are singular driven cyborgs. the dudes who arent that get filtered out mentality wise at the college/early NFL levels. 8 billion people, and hes better than anyone else in the world, and you think a guy who can just shut it down has a chance to be where he is. nooooooo chanceeeeeeeee
  20. QB protecting rules. Also, like OP mentioned the mental aspect. Makes me think of the, anmd im paraphrasing, but the 3 or 4minute mile seemed untouchable for a long time. Someone did it, and it opened the flood gates. Also, better living through science. HGH is great for the sport despite what the dorks think. HGH isnt even a compound that makes you big or a freak, its hugely popular in Hollywood for anti-aging..... ya know that older chick J-Lo, Jennifer Love Hewitt etc etc, that has been hot and looks the same into her 50's? Yep, thats a component. Great for joints and ligaments strength and flexibility. As we age they tend to get more stiff and less flexible. GH in the body decreases as we age. Remember when you could sleep in, but now you wake up at 5-6am no matter what time you went to bed or how tired you are... low GH GH isnt going to make the man, but it amplifies the s*** out of what these guys are already doing to take care of their bodies. Then recovery peptides like BPC157 and TB500 for nagging/serious injuries. I know people hate the idea of this stuff in the sport, but its rampant and these things make the sport better. These arent magic double your season output type compounds, these are keep your teams healthier/able to grind through 17games, with some luck, without missing significant time type compounds. I fully understand (although respectfully disagree) most fans not wanting guys running 25 week tren/d-bol/test cycles all over the field. I'll shout it from the mountain tops, GH is not that, fans need to accept that and move forward thankful for it. In 20years were going to laugh this was ever a controversy. There was likely a time everyone thought creatine, whey, hyperbaric (bolic? i forget) chambers were cheating LOL.... we mind as well just go back to smoking cigs on the sidelines again HAHAHAHAHAHA Also, before someone shouts Lyle Alzado: #1 guy was taking the substances im not referencing #2 poor guys claims were emotion driven, understandably, but just not based in facts. correlation is not causation, or we'd see this NON-STOP in sports. we dont PS, Brady being to first to do it, in the same time frame as these compounds isnt a coincidence. You'd have to believe WWF was real to think that. As much as he terrorized us, he is a marquee example of why the NFL is turning a blind eye, and hopefully the lesser known players/positions are following suit. Why would we not want the best athletes to stick around? Do we prefer the Gale Sanders, Bo Jackson, Sterling Sharpe, Terrell Davis, Tony Bosseli, type player timelines?
  21. Better here than the "post office" im assuming he works at lol
  22. Almost like there has maybe been some inflation the last 4 years since the pandemic?
  23. Bass was money when he'd got that extension. Butker won't have same contract very long. Silly to criticize beane here. Aim it at Bass/STs coacj more than anywhere else.
