  1. always liked that "stat" when he was drafted.... their GM at the time said a team reached out about a trade that same day LOL there arent a lot of trades in the NFL, but that goes to tell you how much these guys call around to try and make them happen
  2. No Rodgers rate being negotiated on that trade!
  3. well theres a reason these trades are rare.... coming in mid season in NFL isnt exactly like trading for a superstar in NBA/NHL, so if we dont pull the trigger thats a huge reason why, not cause Beane is timid thats for sure
  4. If we're going obscure I'm going Vaclav Verada lol it's my guess and nobody can tell me what to guess
  5. I'm shocked anyone's saying classless. I don't care how much times left, if you're within 2 scores, you do what you can to make it atleast 3. Nobody wants to be the answer to that trivia question, plus tie breakers. Even without that we had a rough loss last week, and a rough start to this game... you gotta chance to get the offenses juices flowing you gotta let them eat
  6. I wish Gesecki was a possibility. In division trades do happen but I can't see MIA s front office doing it right now. Trading him would be bad enough PR, but making a team like us better would really be a nail in the coffin on their jobs. Gesecki n Knox would be a stud 1-2 lineup
  7. Weird. I thought he was having a pretty solid year. Proli just from catching highlights I know I've seen him catch 2 Homerun tds. Must be that's about all of it
  8. Leading the (murder) charge maybe?
  9. picking a weird hill to die on but ok? and yes, eff ray lewis as well. i dunno many that think hes a good dude, outside of shows that hes been on, who have a pretty obvious incentive to ignore his past
  10. I really wish we were in a position to go get Kadarius Toney this past year. Our DEs were old, and talent seriously depleted so not an option. But I think a guy like that would be the biggest difference maker we could add after DE
  11. Winning cures everything, and talent makes this whole league overlook things like this. Players compartmentalize pretty well imo. If you've been catching balls from Brissett or Tua, or blocking for him, and you show up to practice day 1 and see throws that make your jaw drop... I just can't picture a football guy not getting swept up in the excitement... and thats ignoring his potential to make you look good and stack up a fat contract. Is he going to be popular in a team setting, locker room, meetings, yes for sure. They're PROFESSIONAL football players. Do I think he's getting invited to cook outs? Likely no, even if the player can overlook it, how well is that going to go over with the wife's on the team? It's sad on any level what sexual impulses do to people, on any level. Especially at this extreme, but I think every guy has let their drive cause them to make decisions they normally wouldn't when kitty's involved. Our over sexualized culture has done so much damage. Scares me as a father /rant
  12. Would surprise me if we did. Other than Kelvin B I can't think of any in season trades he made? I would really love a move for a guard though. Long season, plenty of time to get him acclimated b4 a playoff run
  13. Damn forgot about Butler. I remember that one stinging. I dont think he was great, but being good on those teams, felt like great lol do not miss that!
  14. I get this is completely relevant to our sport but holy hell! This thread is the anti-viagara to a wet dream of a season! It's not mutually exclusive but don't let yourselves get too wrapped up in this garbage in a season alot of us have waited their entire adult life for!
  15. A 90s Buffalo Bill was extremely talkative after leaving the bathroom? I'm shocked 🙄 did he ask if you party? Was this at 355am Super Bowl Sunday?!?!
  16. Who out there thought we shouldn't bring back Williams? There was none of that! Would you rather Cody Ford was playing RG LOL also he was struggling a bit at RT but he didn't suddenly forget how to be a good player, it has more to do with Spencer Brown being so good we couldn't keep him off the field. If that hadn't happened he'd still be playing RT and I'm sure would've found his groove by now. Also for the amount he's seen the field Addison has played well. Feliciano is the same player he was last year, a serviceable bridge until we can draft or sign an upgrade, which is certain this offseason. Rome wasn't built in a day!
  17. The thing ill add on this point, especially having seen it a few times.... sometimes players need to experience some failure or let down, to mentally get to where they can thrive! Anybody think if Josh had skipped JUCO and went to Floprida or Alabama or some SEC team hed be the same player today? Maybe, but i think it primed him for success. None of us were there to see Teller or talk to him, but i think its pretty unlikely he just was this player here and someone from our staff didnt catch on. Is it possible? Sure. Would i bet my money on that being the case? Nah no way. I think its just part of the transformation this league has on guys
  18. Has anyone checked to see if it's doing OK recently? I hope it didn't go to $0 😱
  19. When you have such a complete and deep roster like Houston, you gotta make some tough choices. Wait, no seriously, whys Houston doing this? Dude was a stud last year
  20. I get weve been a laughing stock for 15 years before McBeane era, but i dont think thats true. i think alot of fan bases have a soft spot for us... but NE is not one of them, so ef em
  21. Feel bad for New England fans? Who are Boston sports fans?! Didnt they win a SB, NBA Champ, Stanley Cup, and maybe a World Series all in the same year? At the least i know they won 3/4 in a year. They can fall down the stairs!
  22. ScottLaw lol could you imagine listening to those hot takes at the dinner table?
