  1. Moss played in 215 games, Jerry Rice played in 303 games and Gronk played in 115 games. A good part of being in the discussion of an all time great is longevity.
  2. Pfft....he played with the best QB ever, for his entire career. Very much like the careers of fellow teammates Wes Welker, Julian Edelman & heck even Deion Branch, Tom made them much better than they would've been elsewhere.
  3. Brady has started for 18 seasons, 9 with Gronk and 9 without. He has 3 rings with Gronk and 3 without. Did he really make them much better or as I said before was it the best coach and QB ever that got them 6 rings.
  4. Absolutely agree Boat, 115 games is not enough and durability was an issue with Gronk after his first 2 years. Like I said before it's like comparing Calvin Johnson(Who played 9 years) & Jerry Rice. Yards per game go to Calvin, but career easily goes to Rice.
  5. Ok, Gronk caught 397 passes that got a first down, Tony caught 864 passes that netted a first down. Your stat and Tony kills him in another one. Receiving yards for a career Tony ranks 5th, Gronk ranks 104th. He only played in 115 games, not nearly enough to put him in the discussion for best TE ever.
  6. So it's Tony's fault he didn't luck out and get Brady as a QB. 5 of 9 years he failed to crack 800 yards, that's pretty good but not an elite TE by any means. That's with the best QB ever throwing you the rock. Gronk wasn't the reason they were winners, Bill & Brady were.
  7. Don't think so, there's only 5 people who have more career receiving yards than Gonzalez, he's the only TE in the top 20. Heck Tony had almost twice the yardage as Gronk. Gronk would've never got to where Tony did even if he was still somewhat healthy. In 9 seasons Gronk failed to crack 800 yards 5 times, in 17 seasons Tony failed to hit 800 yards only 4 times. In 9 years Gronk played in 115 out of 144 games, in 17 years Tony played in 270 out of 272 games. One had a career that was almost twice as long and almost twice as good while being way more dependable. Gronk's 115 games equals a little bit more than 7 full seasons, his career was too short to compare him with the best TEs of all time. The equivalent on the WR side would be like saying Calvin Johnson was better than Jerry Rice, per game...maybe, for a career no way. Calvin, like Gronk, wasn't around long enough to be in that discussion.
  8. I'm not saying Allen doesn't need to improve, I think everyone would agree to that, but I believe to what level of improvement is needed varies from person to person. I think part of the perceived improvement people will see this coming year is really just going to be MUCH better talent surrounding a young QB.
  9. Can Brown & Allen hook up on the deep ball, we'll have to see. I think if Zay can get 7 TDs last year, Brown can get 8 this year. Zay hasn't been good either year he's been here. 176 balls have been thrown his way and he only has 83 catches. ?
  10. Yeah, after a bird strike, he landed in the Hudson! ??
  11. While I don't agree we "vastly" overpaid for Mario, Watt was easily the best pass rusher from 2012-2014 amassing 50.5 sacks compared to Mario's 38, Justin Houston had 43 during that stretch as well. Also we had plenty of talent on the whole DL, not just Mario, the rest of the team lacked talent.
  12. He had a combined 38 sacks his first 3 seasons with us. If that's aging & deteriorating sign me up for some more. I think we would kill for that kind of production right now.??
  13. If Brown is still on the board when we pick 40th you almost have to take him. Back to back 1,000 yard seasons(Over 1,300 this past year), 18.3 average per reception for his college career & 17 tds in two seasons... The value is definitely there.
  14. I just saw a stat....During the last 6 games Josh accounted for 1,718 of the team's 2,092 total yards from scrimmage(82.12%), for a rook that's remarkable. Way too little talent on the offensive side of the ball and he still showed marked improvement throughout the year. From the time he got injured till the time he returned and from the time he returned from injury till the final game against Miami. He did all that even though most of the time he was running for his life. I believe he has everything you want, get some talent around him, sit back and watch him shine.
  15. Our WRs are bad, really bad. They keep trying to catch the ball with their bodies instead of their hands. They can't handle Josh's fastball.??
  16. Yeah that's kinda pricey, but it's really $1,494,518 a game and $1,204,320 a TD, you forgot a zero on each.?He's made $3,648,382 per win and he's only started 83 games out of a potential of 128. Compared to wins, the losses seem like a discount though, at only $2,584, 270 per.?? Over 3.5 million a win, I still can't wrap my head around how he keeps getting paid this much. He doesn't help a team move forward, he holds them back.
  17. Nope. That doesn't come close to properly reflecting how I feel. Why would anyone want Sam I suck so bad Bradford to come here? Didn't want him in the offseason and certainly don't want him now. It's like watching paint dry while someone repeatedly rakes their fingers down a chalkboard and screams J-E-T-S JETS, JETS, JETS at you over and over again with a megaphone from two feet away. Ef that.

  19. because he bobbled it, he was never touch after he caught it and it should've been reviewed and changed to a TD.
  20. No one knows what either QB is going to be in 5-10 years. One has played 4 games and the other 2 1/2 games. Very little film and time for teams to come up with a game plan to play against. First thing I would do against KC is make the running game beat me, take away the big plays to see if Mahomes gets impatient and starts forcing the ball. I'll take the side with Tre as he's a proven lock down corner already. Besides I absolutely love the fire and heart Allen brings. Been waiting to see this in our QB since the mid-90s.
