  1. I don't think he will get that much money this year. Bradford has a degenerative condition in his knee and has missed 26 games over the last 4 years. That's 6.5 games on average over a 4 year span. I hope to God they don't try to land him, you can't pay that much money to someone who's been missing 40% of the games.
  2. 3rd he had a great 2013 and a really good 3 game stretch in the playoffs. The other 5 years he was very, very average....34 TDs, 27INTs. Heck he has only cracked 60% once in the last four years for completion percentage. What has he been doing the last 5 years? I understand he had a great playoff, but so didn't Flacco. This is no where near a sure thing if we get him.
  3. His Playoff run has Flacco written all over it. 22 wins in 6 years, very average stats minus the one good year. Grab the QB they want in the draft and be done with it. This would seem like settling.
  4. I know what you're saying, they do hold the cards to a degree. If he was signed to a long term contract then it would be more true. Teams could just wait a year and sign him then.
  5. I mean if a little under 900 yards and 6.3 TDs a year is going to scare other teams then I guess yes. His career long reception is 51 yards. He's a good WR, but he's not putting fear into the other teams defense. We need a legit deep threat that stretches the field and prevents teams from dropping a safety down in the box. Someone who commands a double team. It will open the field up for everyone else.
  6. So we are going to increase the number of street free agents on our team, probably by a lot? Deonte, Zay & Kelvin aren't scary anyone at WR. I mean Deonte has played 5 seasons and just cracked 1,000 yards for his career in the second to the last game of the year. For his career he's averaged 20 yards a game and scores a TD once every 12.5 games. We are going to have to give up a bunch of our best picks this year to get our QB. That don't leave a whole lot left to fill holes. Probably our top 3 picks plus another pick or two? I'll admit I'm not up to speed on the values and what it will take, but I believe at minimum our two first and a second. Unless we are waiting to grab whatever QB falls to us and at that point I will have lost much of my interest on drafting a QB this year. I'm just saying there are a lot of holes to fill both as starters and depth, with only so many picks after the QB and not a lot of money to be spent. If this is the case I think we're going backwards for 2018. The following year should get a lot better though.
  7. I would go get the QB they want even if it means trading up to the #2 pick. Only use this year's draft picks on moving up. It will hurt us for the 2018 season, but this will leave us all our picks next year and we will have a ton of money to spend in free agency next year. Now because we will be trading a bunch of this year's picks to get our QB and we don't really have a lot of money to spend on free agents, we will still have a bunch of holes not filled or filled with subpar players. I would let Tyrod start one more year as an experienced QB will be better equipped to deal with an underwhelming roster. None of the QBs in this draft are a sure thing take 2018 and fix the new QB's flaws and groom him to be the starter in 2019. Don't throw him to the wolves. In 2019 let Tyrod walk with no dead money against the cap. We will still have all our picks for the 2019 draft and a ton of money to spend in free agency(I think I heard around 100 million?). We will be able to surround the new QB with talent and give him the best chance to succeed early in his career.
  8. If the team agrees with you and really thinks we're set at WR, RB & OL then we're all in for a loooooong year. Matthews, Thompson, Tate & Butler are all free agents at WR. At RB Tolbert, Cadet & Jones are all free agents and even if all goes well with your plan at OL we have no depth. That's if the often injured Glenn can actually play a full season. If you resign several of these guys we won't have much left in cap room to fill all the holes we have. We also have several FAs in the secondary.
  9. The first person and only person I've ever used it for!!!
  10. It was an epic fail from the start. Just because he made a play or two doesn't discount that. He threw two pop flies down the middle of the field. If your back peddling or your going to be hit don't throw it in the middle of the field. Worst first game Rookie start in 26 years and he had that by half time!!!!! If he spiked the ball on every play his QB Rating would have been 20 points higher(That's how bad it was) The coaching staff had no right to start someone who was clearly not ready, behind this offensive line, on the road, against that pass rush. The play calling, for playing with a Rookie QB, was absolutely horrible. They set him up to fail. At home against Miami or when they played Indy....I could probably get behind that. Based on where he is and with this offensive line there's no way he should have saw the field in this game, unless it was in mop up duty. If he starts in KC, I can't see it getting a whole lot better. It's like they're trying to wreck his career in year #1. Give him another month and play him the last two games of the year.
  11. It needs to be both. Draft your starter(Assuming they let McCoy go) bring in a FA or two for the back ups.
  12. Did he also have crap WRs that were always hurt and a defense that was a sieve? Or a penalty every other down? Didn't think so. His "team" is better than ours. Zero doubt about it.
  13. They could double the picks and they still wouldn't have enough. This team is devoid of talent. There is really very little talent left on this team. This is a couple of drafts and a couple FA periods at best and I still don't think they'll be there by then.
  14. That's what I'm worried about. That happens and the streak hits 25+ for sure.
  15. No he didn't and it's scary that any coach on the team thought he was ready. He dealt with what Tyrod deals with every week. A crap line with ok WRs when they are actually playing. We traded, cut and let walk so much talent there's really not much left. I hope the couple of extra draft picks can fill all the hole, but there's no way that can happen. We had a top ten scoring offense. All he had to do was fix the defense. Worry about the QB in this draft or the next. We would be in the playoffs this year if they did that. No doubt about it. No one wants the 6th seed. Now we're further away than I thought we would ever be. Wait there goes another pop fly down the middle of the field again.
  16. I don't know the answer to this, but I know one that can't!!
  17. He really didn't stay in and hold his composure. He never saw the field after the 5th interception and winging it up for grabs, down the middle of the field, because you're getting rushed is not holding your composure.....it's quite the opposite.
  18. Condolences to both of you. It's never an easy thing to go through losing a parent.
  19. Never said they were. Where did you come up with that? I simply responded to you saying the Panthers were a playoff team since getting Cam. While they have made it 50% of the time, they have also had losing seasons 66% of the time. Making the playoffs with a losing record should never happen.
  20. They've made the playoffs 3 out of his 6 years, once with a losing record. The Panthers have finished with a losing record 4 out of the 6 years Cam has been there. In no way does your statement reflect the truth.
  21. Huge comeback and win! Gillon with 43, White with 28 & Lydon with 15. Those three scored 86 of the 100. Don't know if that will last but sure was fun to watch.
