  1. I think that is McD's opinion on the QB. The potential smokescreen may be Jackson. His comment suggests he wants a traditional QB. Maybe the smokescreen is he consider Jackson capable of being a traditional QB? Jackson did transition well last year.
  2. Surprisingly, I do not think it is a smokescreen. Beane and McD have been consistent with this belief and thought process since they arrived in Buffalo. And, I like their thought process on the stereotypical QB.
  3. Happy Birthday Pegs! Have a great day and thank you for everything you do!
  4. I think Jacksonville was a bad place for Gabbert to start his career and it set him up to fail from transitioning from College and the spread offense to the NFL.
  5. I would prefer Maclin over Marshall too. IMO Maclin is a better WR at this point in both their careers. And, Maclin seems like a true professional where Marshall can be slightly out of sync with the team. However, Marshall has been a solid team guy for almost 5 years now. After the stink of Cutler wore off him he got his attitude in a better place.
  6. Marshall might be on the FAST decline. But, maybe not in the right situation. Benjamin and Marshall would be two HUGE targets! It could work. Even if Marshall has lost a step with another big WR on the field it could minimize the step lost.
  7. I have a funny feeling they will end Tannehill's career. He is the QB that fits my opinion of who they will murder!
  8. KB has injury questions. That (too me) means two things. He should want to sign a long term contract now and the longer it goes without a long term contract the more we will pay. And, the Bills may not want to pay a big contract based on injury questions. The sooner it gets done the less the contract will be. If we sign him before the season starts and he doesn't get hurt this year we will have a good deal. If we don't sign him before the season starts he will enter FA (most likely). It really is KB and the Bills wager at this point on health. Hopefully we both win!
  9. We have seen dream teams before. But, I feel Suh and Donald will be successful no matter what (other than injuries). And, IF Donald doesn’t hold out. Those two will do great and will make a huge impact act on the D. This is why... - Donald is probably the most impactful D lineman in football right now - Even if Suh is half of his potential or previous self he is better than most - Suh is on a one year prove it deal. He could have signed for longer term and more guaranteed money elsewhere. So, I think he wants to play and continue to play after this year while being on a good, competitive team. All positives for his mind set to succeed - thusly Suh will be putting forth a good effort this year. I think he does most of the time already. I think he gets an unwarranted bad rap for effort - Wade Phillips is the DC. Wow he may have the most weapons he ever has had - Suh will help Donald be better - Donald will help Suh be better - how can any team block them both...they are going to hurt QBs —> over/under on them knocking QBs out of games...I would set at 3.5 This is most likely going to happen unless Donald holds out or one of them get hurt
  10. I think unless the Colts get a..... 1st or 2nd and 3rd or 2nd and 4th (or something like that) ..........they should keep Brissett.. And, the Colts are NOT getting a 1st for Brissett.. And, I agree with "buffalover4life", above in the thread, that the Pats * sold low on Brissett. He is a competent back up and has upside to develop into a starter. He has potential. Another thought and point as I am typing...........just crossed my mind now.......because the Pats* sold low I strongly BILLIEVE that the Pats* had not intention (when they traded Brissett) of trading Jimmy G OR they had NO faith in Brissett. But, I lean towards they were not going to trade Jimmy G and ran an audible as the season went on.
  11. Depends on the Giants plan. If they are thinking NOT QB at #2 then they are trying to give it a run and need ODB. Might be good timing for him to hold the Hiants hostage.
  12. Thank you!!!
  13. Depending who we have picked at the time of the third round and how many picks we have in the 3rd round I would be very interested in him. For example, if we had a QB and MLB. And then two picks in the 3rd and 4th. Preferably two thirds.... I would be happy with Penny and an O or DLinemen.
  14. I will gladly participate if a team owner is needed.
  15. That would be a great situation to have! That would be better than it not happening and provide more viable options.
  16. Aaron is 6’1”. I am going off what the Beane said 9 months ago with wanting a 6’4” QB being ideal. Interesting Rodgers is 6’1”. I thought he was 6’3” or 6’4”
  17. We can have both
  18. We can find $7 million.
  19. I think Johnson is ok. He can be a liability with certain matchups too. Gaines is good. Johnson is barely in this league. They should not be in the same sentence. I really hope Gaines comes back. One year deal for $7 million. SIGN me up! Go Bills!
  20. Agreed! Get a MLB and keep improving the roster. I would like improve at RG and RT too. You forgot to mention our improve at OC! And, keep improving depth. The biggest need for depth to me in CB #3. Ours were bad last year.
  21. Happy birthday Coach McD!
  22. IMO opinion it is the biggest smokescreen of all! I don't believe we will pick him due to his height. However, I think Mayfield will be a successful in the NFL as a starter. And, if we pick him I will be excited.
  23. I agree with both. That is why I enjoy the site still!
  24. I just feel some folks on this board jump to final conclusion and don't really look at everything objectively. Being objective and discussing is more enjoyable and reasonable to me. It leads to a healthy conversation. More folks on this board prefer to be right than be pleasantly surprised of Bills success. And, most and almost all of us can do that sometimes. If everyone just wanted to be right and have a lopsided conversation they should talk to their mother. Most mothers would just say their kid is right. Go Bills!
  25. There is no need to rush to judgement for me. I don't think the Bills are rushing to judgement either (as they shouldn't). However, IF they determine he is not good enough after working thru their process they can cut bait. IMO he will be on the roster this year. I think we will have 3 QBs on the roster this year. However, as I am typing, do to teams not drafting him in the first 4 rounds last year and the 5 pick game.....we may be able to put him on the practice squad. I believe we can put him on the practice squad and move him to the 53 man roster if someone tries to take him?
