  1. I am not anti Peterman and still think he can have some success. But, you can confidently say nobody has ever thrown 5 picks in their first half played. Nobody.
  2. I understand the premise regarding don't read it. But, it is a football forum and not a baseball forum. I usually don't complain about posts, but, its not a baseball forum.
  3. I think and hope I stick to it...I will boycott Gronk movies.
  4. Please don’t put baseball on here
  5. This is my #1 estimate of what happens! It makes sense, everything points to this and the other dominos. So, Cleveland picks their QB at #1 and the NYG then trade #2 to the Bills. It is the most logical scenario for the Jets trading to #3 and everything calming down. With the Giants not moving the pick or shopping it much I think the deal is done with the Bills pending on the #1 selection (or it may not if the Bills love 2 QBs. So, that means the deal is not only (essentially) done, but, in order for it to be done the Bills must have over paid and given a sweet deal for the Giants (which is fine by me). So, my thought would be #12, #22 and 2019 #1 (as Gunner Bill suggests above) and another 2 picks (2nd or 3rd rounders).
  6. SouthNYfan......... Your original comment being "another" would imply we had one to begin with" suggests nothing of knowing our current status and your knowledge of Clay, injuries, abilities and the Bills use of him. So, it is either misleading or not a funny "joke". I don't get it, just a below average comment.
  7. Ok, I hear you too. IMO the Browns do not trade out of #4 until they know that the NYG are doing. I don't think the Browns will trade that pick until they know exactly who they want as their 2nd player in the draft and the landscape of the draft. As soon as the Browns trade the #4 pick they lose leverage on their ability to move around in the top of the draft with the elite players.
  8. Agreed!
  9. TT: So, you are saying if Dalton gets hurt and you go into the game you are aloud to call your own audibles?
  10. He is more of a pirate than you will ever be.
  11. How about SD just moving forward too. I think teams forget to cut their losses and move on. I know the Bills have been terrible with that. So, they take Leaf #2, then Brees in the 2nd, then Philip Rivers arguably 4th (or Eli #1).
  12. By waiting to trade the NYG would be giving less knowledge to other teams to prepare for.
  13. I don’t think Clive blocks. But, invite him to camp and maybe he cracks top 3 TEs or helps as the 4th if/when goes down.
  14. One of three things are going to happen at the draft with Allen. 1. He is highly thought of and goes in the top 5. I am staring to feel Cleveland and the Jets value him. 2. He gets past the Broncos and is available for us to trade up for between 6 and 10. 3. He slides and everyone has questions on him and he goes in the 20’s JMO, but, he is intriguing especially if he is there at 12
  15. Totally agree. There are somethings you just don’t say!
  16. Agreed, grading the QBs vs the others and more importantly vs the QBs over the last 20 years is most important! I guess if we like 4 QBs we could make the move. However, if we like 4 QBs (we have the most ammo) we could probably wait to see the QBs come off the board and give up less capital! We could probably trade up when the 3rd comes off the board. But, should at least trade up when the 2nd comes off the board to avoid an issue where the team on the clock won't trade with us. So, essentially, the 4th spot would be when 2 QBs are off the board maybe 3. So, I guess that thought process proves you correct. At lot of moving parts. All that I know is the grading of the QBs is most important, we have the most draft capital and we must get our guy!
  17. I do NOT want to trade into the #4 spot unitl the #4 spot is on the clock. That is something that can easily be worked out prior to the draft. Essentially, it will be 50/50 if our guy is there at #4 or not. So, it can be decided before draft day on compensation and if our guy is there at #4, we see if Cleveland is still down to trade with our previous compensation. Maybe a quick haggle on a later pick. Since they will already have their QB they also will have less moving parts.
  18. Agreed. And, I don't think we are going to #2. To answer the original post, I think we trade up with one of the following.... #6 Indianapolis #7 Tampa Bay #8 Chicago - I think this is a sweet spot - Chicago has Trubisky and needs a lot to round out the team. This good be a good draft and off season for the Bears. I see them trading back #9 San Fran - I think San Fran stays put, but, we don't know how or have much data on Lynch handling drafts and San Fran doesn't need a QB. #9 is a nice place to pick in most drafts. Usually a top 5 guys falls there and it is usually a potential blue chip prospects.. I think they stay at #9. But, moving back 3 places with the Bills isn't too much I think there will be more trades in this draft in the top 5, 10 and 15 than almost any year. Positioning jockeying will occur. IMHO.
  19. A lot of rumors this time of the year. But, this is interesting to me. Who would want this rumor to start. If Cleveland is selecting a QB then nobody can really change that. So, they pick a QB at #1. The only team that would want to start this rumor would be Cleveland to drive up the price to trading up to #1. So, IF the rumor is true, that would mean Cleveland doesn't have a #1 choice for QB OR they think their choice for QB isn't high on others list. I don't think it is option #2 because Dorsey was brought in to get his QB. So, no matter where they grade them all I would think they take their #1 choice at #1 unless they don't love any of them. Does Dorsey not see any separation in some of the top QBs or just LOVE CHUBB or another non QB? This is interesting to me.......or just blowing smoke! Regardless, this is setting up to be the most exciting first round in a very long time!!
  20. Sad = most National media mocks who put no thought into the Bills - nothing new Happy = good, concise thoughts and evaluations that are not retread "cut and paste" thoughts on players. Its crazy propaganda that sets the stage for some. Sheep. Sad = Haven't seen his yet or looked for it, but, he drives me crazy - all things Charles Davis (I will also just take this opportunity to state IMO Willie McGinnest is terribly annoying) Happy = Mike Mayock's thoughts and mock drafts - I believe he only does one right before the draft. But, typically love Mayock's thoughts, beliefs and grades all year round! --> Sorry, I didn't really answer the question. Hope that wasn't too off topic
  21. If Barkley is there at 4 and I was the Browns I would not want Barkley. If I am a Browns fan I wouldn't want Barkley. I think Barkley will fall in this draft. But, I don't think he should be a top 5 pick either. I think about his talents vs other in the NFL at RB during draft time and think of two comparisons for draft position. Adrian Peterson and Ezekiel Elliott. Not comparing the players styles, but, the value. They are the only two that have warranted a top 10 pick in a long time (and both worked out for their drafted position). It takes a different type of team these days to even consider taking a RB in the top of the 1st round. So, here are the only teams I can see drafting Barkley............ Cleveland - not at #4, if they trade down and have multiple non QBs that interest them Indianapolis - at #6. Would pair well with Andrew Luck. I think Colts need sooo much more. I think they trade down again Tampa Bay - at #7. If QBs are still there the market to trade up may be strong. I think Tampa Bay trades back San Fran - at #9. I think this is where Barkley gets drafted PICK #12 - If the Bills trade up, this is another spot Barkley could get drafted by the teams above Just some thoughts. I think Barkley goes between #6-12.
  22. I will play along. Why would Cleveland want to trade up to #2 from #4. ANSWER --> So Cleveland would have the best QB and non QB (on their board) in the draft. # 1 - Cleveland - Quarterback # 2 - New York Football Giants - take QB, take a non QB, trade the pick. Those are the only 3 options. Regardless if NYG selects QB or trade the pick it will be a QB. The last option is they stay there and take the pick of Chubb, Nelson, Barkley, etc. I would think Chubb and Barkley are in play. I really only think Chubb is the only non QB option for NYG. --> So, 67% chance a QB is selected at #2 # 3 - New York Jets - Quarterback # 4 - So, quick math (may or may not be correct) 0% non QB at #1, 33% non QB at #2, 0% non QB at #3 = 33% divided by 3 = 11% chance top non QB is still available. Also, if a non QB is selected by the NYG at #2 IMO it is only Chubb or Barkley. So, divide 11% by 2 players = 5.5% --> So, 5.5% chance if the Cleveland Browns want Chubb or Barkley at #4 they will still be there without trading and selecting at #4 In conclusion, I don't think Cleveland would want to trade assets to move from #4 to #2 for those odds. But, depends on their grading of Chubb or Barkley. I don't think Barkley should be selected there for so many reasons. So, depends on the NYG and Browns grades on Chubb!!
