Can We Listen To Bon Jovi Music Again?
Bills Fan of St Augustine replied to Gisele's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'd never deny your right to listen to sh*tty music...But please, don't! -
I'll take the win for sure, but line play was not good. Bears D-line isn't very good either. We'll see how they do as the season progresses. There is a lot of room for improvement and I don't doubt that they can improve as these guys play more together. Pears looked really out of place though. I hope the rookies get better and can step in at guard...

Just enjoy the win! First time ever in Chicago. Check out this write up from Chi-town! https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=2&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0CCsQqQIwAQ&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.chicagotribune.com%2Fsports%2Frosenblog%2Fchi-bears-lose-to-bills-20140907-column.html&ei=kvMMVLm5AaHCsATC2YLQBA&usg=AFQjCNGePC_Maz0jEZ0LSwfDX_ni8e3B3Q

I thought the line play was below average. Glenn's play was very good, the rest of the line was weak. He carried the line. Ironically, I thought their individual play was pretty much in order from left to right. I might switch Pears and Henderson, but both were very poor. Pears whiffing on blocks and Henderson holding. He's gonna need big help next week. When Hairston played as a third tackle, he missed key blocks too. Williams was ok and compared to previous LGs he was solid. Woods did not really have a game to write home about. Both Cryus and Cyril were healthy scratches. Why do you think that was?

It is what it is and we've got what we've got. Time to play ball! Go Bills!! -
I don't think anyone thinks we are better defending the pass. We'll see if we get a good push and whether our DBs cover tight or remain soft. We need big year's from our CBs. If they press and take away the short easy throws, this D could be much much better. Improvement against the run is obvious and a long time coming! GO BILLS!!! Bills 34, @ Bears 20 Patsies 24, @ Fish 10 Raiders 17 @ Jets 23 Wishing and guessing like everyone else..

Agreed! There are many great beers to choose from, but Labatt's is a good choice for our team's beer. The only major city in the US where the best selling beer is not made in the US. Genny Cream is barely drinkable. Genny screamers - takes me back to the mid 70s watching men's fast pitch softball behind the firehall. Screamers and Mickey's wide-mouth..Or the occassional Miller ponies. All had their time and place, but none stand up to the beers available today. Try a Dogfish 90 or even a Fat tire and then tell me beer is beer...

Ok tod - I'll take the criticism. The post was in response to Jumbalya and his comment on Kujo, hence the placement though I should have quoted. Cyril may have improved in camp, but I maintain watching him play in the Senior Bowl was memorable and made me feel really bad for the guy. The rant I was on was about our choices in the draft and so many people's opinion that you can find great lineman later in the draft so why waste a high pick on an OT. That's akin to saying you can find your franchise QB later just because NE did. Kujo slid, Cyril slid and Henderson crashed. Well maybe we did get lucky with Henderson, we'll see. It's just been preseason right? You have to admit that if you watched the games, the OL play overall/top to bottom has been abysmal. After watching this preseason, I am less optimistic than ever that our offense is prepared for a season. We'll see.

Neither Cyrus or Cyril are NFL ready. Everyone other than the Bills knew this before the draft, that's why they "slid" to us in the draft. Anyone watch the shrine game or whatever it was where Cyril was schooled and tooled? I've never seen an OL so out of his element as watching him in that game. Now he's supposed to start on our OL? So our big plan boils down to a hope and prayer that they somehow outperform every other team's expectations and for the he**ll of it we throw in a 7th round draft pick as our Savior at RT? Really?! Let's also trade our #1 next year to move up a couple places to draft a WR!?? A WR?! Now we have a young QB with little natural instinct to play the position at the NFL level, playing behind an inferior OL and listening to an inexperienced, in NFL terms, coaching staff. OooooKK..........Let's go find a really good punter! So many on this board asked, why should we "waste" a pick @ #9 for an athletic OT? We don't need an OT when we can easily find one later in the draft! Ok, where is he? We picked three OL! WTF? As I said before the draft, many of the people on this board know little if anything about football. Well, NFL football anyway. Perhaps you should switch over to European football. This game is still won and lost in the trenches. First, run and stop the run. IT would be nice to stop a third and long too but, some day we'll get it...

Eagles open to trading Barkley
Bills Fan of St Augustine replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Why not Barkley? His... has a popgun arm, but can he play football? Can he play QB? Much more important questions than arm strength. Besides, Heath and Jerret might come in and block for him?! -
No he's a role player because he plays behind a line with little talent that can't run block when playing against elite competition. No hole and Spiller dances rather than hitting it hard and settling for 2-3. RBs are a dime a dozen and the only true measure is whether there is speed to break it once they get to the second level. Spiller has it. So does Bryce. Let's see what happens, but unless Spiller becomes the second coming of A. Peterson, we have to let him go. Running behing a competent OL and he is AP every year.
