  1. Yeah, I will admit my dark secret...I do rewatch the games, win or lose. Usually alone and late at night when everyone else has gone to bed. I like to watch line play and I miss too much when I watch with a group or just find myself caught up following the ball. I also try to see why some of our LBs simply disappear on plays or DBs who seem lost. Ultimately though, I enjoy replaying big hits from our D, great special teams plays or just about anything else that usually doesn't make the highlight reel but together are the real reasons we win or lose games.
  2. I was stoked when the Bills select one Mike Williams in 2002. Mike Williams was supposed to be one of the safest picks of the 2002 NFL draft. When Buffalo selected the large tackle out of Texas, fans assumed the Bills had an anchor at tackle for years to come. Instead, he lasted four years in Buffalo and after sitting out of the league for three years, played one more season at guard for the Washington Redskins. Selected fourth overall in 2002, Williams’ bust is perhaps why the team has not selected a tackle in the first round since. What friggin disaster... Probably why so many on this board resist the idea of an OT at #9. Let's hope we do and get better this year!
  3. I watch Goodwin run and he seems much faster than anyone around him. Can't say the same for the other two... Bet they have a good time in practice!
  4. http://prod.static.packers.clubs.nfl.com/assets/docs/2012shareholder-history.pdf It would be cool do do something like this if it were possible.
  5. Ya! If he brings it on Sunday, he can say anything he likes!
  6. yep - it's looking like OT for sure. I bet a OG in the 3/4th too. We need starters and depth.
  7. Yeah, and if you read my post I said the gap is closing and in the future won't be as significant. I never said they were equal or even that they will be some day. My point is that we can afford to pay two OTs decent money and solidify our OL for years. It's been too long since we had above average line play. So it's my opinion and take a walk with your BS comment.
  8. Sorry dude. you and yours who keep spewing LT vs RT are dinosaurs. Think into the future, more passing in the league, more specialist pass rushers who come from everywhere, RT vs LT salary gap is closing and will not be meaningful in years to come. We can afford to pay OTs and it would sure be nice to see someone blocking on the Buffalo Bill's offensive line rather than just being offensive. Center and both OT would be set for years to come. If any of you nay sayers who spew forth the vitriol that RTs come on the cheap have ever played a down of ball, then you know the game is won in the trenches. We have studs on the D side, pair them up with the equivalent OL and we are talking dynasty! Control the line and control the game. Skill players are icing and not the cake.
  9. Everyone I've read has Mathews as the most sure and safest pick in the draft. Why the skepticsm? He has all the tools and is pedigreed. We're talking being set at OT for the next 5-10 years. Pay them both because it is worth it!
  10. Trading Spiller is crazy as is the talk around judging EJ's potential based on a partial season of his rookie year. If you watch how our line was manhandled you often saw RBs with no where to go, hits in the backfield and DL coming free on the QB like they weren't being blocked (they weren't). Give the team a solid line through the draft and I think this O will blossom. Draft the best of the three OTs at 9. Pay Cordy if he continues to be solid at LT and pay the man at RT if he earns it. Plug in competent guards and we got a winner for years to come. The WRs are talented and I really like Woods. TJ has had his chance and so now it's Grahams turn. Williams was a great signing and if his head is straight can be a great pairing with the other two. I would try to trade #13 for whatever we can get. Too much talent, too little brain. TEs are fine and I expect Moeaki to shine this year and complement Chandler. Should upgrade at safety because I am not confident in any of the options not named Williams. Just my opinion.
  11. Welcome! Of course Bills and Browns fans are cousins. I'm surprised no one brought up the fact Ralph voted against the move to Baltimore and arranged for a Browns dog pound at Rich Stadium for a game against the Bungles. "Bills owner Ralph Wilson set aside a block of seats for Big Dawg and his buddies so they can, if even for a day, walk into a stadium with a few beers stashed in their coats and essentially lose their minds." http://www.apnewsarc...16c6a2a1e2f1105 http://www.apnewsarc...027d45fa163bcf7 http://www.apnewsarc...73f32bddc3e2ea2 http://www.enquirer..../082196_ts.html
  12. Completely agree. RT is recognized as a huge need by teams and the pay gap will close over time between LT and RT. We need studs on the line who can open holes and give EJ time to throw (extra time he may well need). I've watched Williams and he can play ball. Let's hope his head is on straight. I have to believe Marrone is all over this...
  13. Awsome and spot on! With this in mind, how can we pass on an OT at 9 especially if Evans is gone and Mathews falls to 9? We can't! If Evans is there I still go OT but wouldn't be very upset with Evans. IMHO, we need OL help in a big way!
  14. "We can surely get a starting RT in the 3 round. We can't get an Evans in the 3rd round." i think almost the same can be said at OT. We can surely get a starting WR/TE in the 2nd round. We can't get a Mathews in the 2nd round. I much prefer the draft above where we draft two OL rather than one. This team needs to become much more physical on the O side of the ball. OT at 9 and depth in 3 or 4.
  15. Miniskirts, low cut dresses? Where? All I saw was conservative attire....not very nice of you to trick me on April fools day!
  16. Sorry, but I can't see Lewan dropping to 41 or even Martin to 26! Big shock if that happens. My bet is they don't get past 20 even if the Bills pass on Lewan. At least four OTs go in the first 20 picks. Rams, Browns, Bucs, Bills, Dolphins all need help at OT and realize they won't win without OL. OT was at a premium last year and will be again this year. I can only hope the Bills #9 will be the best OT on the board and that is likely to be Lewan. I thnk he will be a keeper for years to come. Just my opinion.
  17. The next guy who fumbles the ball and is recovered by a Buffalo Bill.
  18. Foles and a number 1 fer ser! I'd ask for the Liberty Bell while we're at it...
  19. No way, no how! I'd prefer to trade down than up! And we still probably couldn't stop the run. Enough on the D side of the ball. We need an O so draft Ot at #9 or Evans and OT in 2nd.
  20. No chance, no chance at all. Draft a OG in 3 or 4.
  21. Best chance is to go to Denny's and order up a breakfast!
  22. I agree. Draft an OT #9 and another OL in round 3 or 4.
  23. I have no problems with Byrd leveraging every avenue available to him as defined under the CBA. However, he did know he would play for the Bills last year once tagged and to hold out until the last moment even when his team was practicing and trying to get better doesn't add up for me that winning was the most important thing. JB's $$ was the most important thing. Missing a host of games due to a mysterious foot ailment (PF) was BS and simply his way to get even with the FO and get his money on a per game played basis. None of this can be proven, but if you agree then it was not in compliance with the rules of intent of the CBA. The guy is FOS. I would never hope for injury on a player or another human being, but I do hope someone knocks him the FO on the very first play from scrimmage as a Taint.
