Now I agree with you completely. The big reason for trading SW was that they didn't intend to resign him for the money he could command on the open market. His me first attitude made it more likely or convenient. Gotta love how it's all worked out!

I saw the headline that we were getting Benjamin and my first thought was that we were unloading Cordy. Oh no, but what a pleasant surprise! A third and seventh are a steal!

A bit of FB and OL but most importantly the level of competition has allowed for the running game to improve.

I can't say TT is a better than average QB, but rather about average. I still think Peterman has a chance to develop. Depending on who is available, we may or may not want to pick QB. It would be nice to have that kind of luxury. WR/OL/DT/DBs would be nice too. No need to bundle huge assets to move up in my opinion.

Agree totally. Professionals? Act like you've been there before and plan to be there again. The only one's that truly bother me are the self aggrandizing "look at me routines" verses the celebrations as a team. So most of them... I guess it may be due to my OL days.

Agreed. Glenn, RI, Wood, Miller, Dawkins feels pretty good. Working in Grohn somehow maybe at C wood be nice. Somehow dumping MD would be more welcomed especially if he is not going to contribute.

And a better more willing blocker. That said, Watkins has much better overall natural athletic talent as a WR. I'd still rather have RW as a teammate.

I don't think I'd single out Shaq as a problem on this team. Solid pick with upside.

While I agree the OL played better last year than this, I don't think it has as much to do with the system as it does our opponents. The D we've played thus far have been very good. Last year we had some really inflated numbers against teams like SF, Rams, Browns, Raiders, etc. We were held to less than 70 yds rushing in 25% of our games. TT had almost 600 yds "rushing" (more a reflection of poor pass blocking and QB play than our ability to run the football). Our OL hasn't been very good for years and is a big reason we haven't been successful. We've struggled against big aggressive DLs as our OL are pretty soft (RI excluded). Without a top 10 QB and with a mediocre OL at best and a dearth of talent at WR we aren't going very far again this year. I don't IMHO see an ego thing but rather FO recognizing the "talent" we have won't get us back to the SB. While we aren't tanking, we are rebuilding. Shedding overpriced marginal talent or me first team second guys with poor attitudes makes sense to me.

And we are fortunate enough to have two or three! We're leading the league!
