At close to 40 years supporting this team , I’m doing my job on calling BS on a reach at QB. The sad truth is we are pretty much where we always are: Unproven Coach/ GM making questionable decisions for a roster that is in Bad shape. I really hope Allen turns out and a bunch of us have to eat crow. But, pointing out the Allen Pick looks bad is the same as doing it with EJ or JP. As much as we all like to mock the Browns, we are in their league and have been for a while when it comes to QB talent acquisition. Im sure there are threads that say we should have stayed at 12 and I’d have to agree with them. I would truly rather have Rudolph at 22( or trade down for him) and a bunch of second and third round picks to fill out a sparse roster than our current predicament. SAME OLD Bills?

Thought the same thing , as well asCam. In my mind kind of a cross between the two. BR was not as good as Cam as a Rookie.

What scares me is an O coordinator who has done what??? If we are going to coach this kid up we need someone who has at least done it before......

How many people were still claiming they honestly believed TT hadn’t reached his ceiling well into this season ???? Hint: TOO freaking many!!! While I’m completely underwhelmed by this pick I’m a Bills fan and I’m going to ride this train and see where it leads. For all the examples of crappy QBs we have picked there are plenty out there that surprised teams with their play after a few years of sucking. He’s not Brees , Warner, Dilfer, Flacco, Hostedler, Doug Williams......but he might be better than some of them and IF(!!!) a team with a good D and running game is built around him he might actually win 1 SB. In my book that would make him a success.

In the past, it is what McD’s D has been predicated on. Dude seems to have the range and speed to work the middle but not sure if he’s built for it. He seems sleek not bulky. Not a bad thing just my first eye test impression.

Just said the same thing in a different thread. Was talking to a Jets fan at work and he is convinced they are going to do something boneheaded like taking Allen. If The Giant don’t go QB we could possibly wait till 5 and still have a shot at a good QB and some picks to build around him with.... this year sand next.

Can’t judge until they have a draft together. With the O line completely falling apart and the Jets getting to three I’m in wait and see mode. If things fall right and we can wait between 4-6 to get our QB without trading the farm and get some good, young talent and let them play and gel then I’m a happy boy but if we give three firsts and some seconds to get up to 2 and have glaring holes afterwards.... meh. Going to need a second year to see what they do to fill holes. EFFFING HATE us having over achieved ourselves into the playoffs and out of higher draft positions right now. Its convenient and conveys the idea that they work together as one. I like it.
