  1. Ray is an idiot. A week before the draft gets cited for Mary Jane??? I don't think Clemmings will fall to 50. If he does Rex will be driving to his house. Buff would jump on him.
  2. i've said since the end of the season that the Bills were in play for RGIII. I haven't seen them do anything to dissuade that. I think if it doesn't happen, it won't be for a lack of trying. I just dont think the brass is in the position to give up draft picks next year for him. I don't believe it will take a 1st to get him. Especially if we include players.
  3. Yeah this article makes me think that Lee is going to complicate the position by making things more difficult than they need to be. He did the same thing with Fitz and it seemed to hurt him. When a QB has to think instead of react isn't a good thing. Telling a player "forget everything and start from scratch by listening to me" is not a good sign. This article makes me nervous and questions whether Lee is the right man for the job or is his ways not applicable in the NFL anymore.
  4. I agree that with the burden of innocence falling on the man, it's a slipper slope for men these days. In Hardy's case, the NFL had all of the proof, which painted a pretty ugly picture on his part. But that dude that made that claim that it's rape for having a one night stand with a girl is an idiot, a beta male, and someone that has to kiss a girls a$$ just to get her attention. Women see his actions as fake, someone who is just trying to get their approval, and that is why even though on the exterior they may agree with him, inside they don't respect him and would never be sexually involved with him. Real men don't need to fly some flag of morality in order to get a woman's attention. They understand what being a gentlemen is, and not to confuse that with physically beating someone or having sex with them against their will. Women respect them for this, as they don't want a "nice guy" who respects them to a point of vomiting in their mouths. Hence the reason why they will be with someone like that over a person who is an a$$ kisser.
  5. Brit McHenry caught on video telling NFL Nation reporters "lose some weight baby doll"
  6. FYI Colts have lost the last 4 games they have played on the road in week 1. Last road win week 1 was 2006 vs. Giants.
  7. I thought there would be more prime time games. Disappointed in that. Altough I think that Eagles game might be moved to Sunday night if it has playoff implications. Tough stretch after Cincy. They have a short week the go to England vs Jags. Then come back and play Dolphins, then short week vs Jets. Only saving grace is 11 days to prepare for Pats. I don't think the Cowboys will be that good this year. They haven't had back to back double digit win seasons in almost 20 years. I see the Jets/Cowboys/Redskins (2 of 3 at home) is probably the most favorable way they've ended a season in a long time. Also three road games the first eight weeks is pretty favorable. Nice stretch weeks 4-10 where they play 4 teams with a total of 15 wins in 2014, their bye, and the 8-8 Dolphins. I think the Bills are set up this season. Only question will be what type of start they can get out of the gate vs Colts & Pats. Both are at home, so thats a big break.
  8. He actually plays devils' advocate and says the Bills shouldn't trade Manuel. Although he compares EJ's career thus far with Tebows, which doesn't make sense. Tebows career in the NFL had to do with his throwing mechanics, not his team record or stats. The are other player who went on to great careers tha thad similar stats their first 14 starts as Manuel. Should those QB's be compared to Tebow too? This seems to be a slow season article. Nothing to report here, and i have to hand in a piece, so lets write about this.
  9. The facts came out about this long ago. Many FSU students, male and female, spoke out about this person as loose. They called her an attention grabber who frequently chased after athletes to try and lure them into the sack. She slept with many FSU athletes, and she wanted to see Winston more after they slept together and he wasn't interested, so she went this route. It's ashame because she gives women who have real cases a bad name. Nonetheless, it doesn't surprise me in the least that 2 weeks before the draft and being so close to a multi million dollar contract, she is sueing Winston. For someone who stated when the incident occuredthat she wanted "nothing to do with being in the public eye" her actions obviously speak louder than words. She even made a movie of it. Go figure. It's an obvious money grab from a chick who had no class to begin with. I'm sure with all the questions surrounding Winston's character off the field the timing was intentional. Being so close to being first overall i'm sure this girl wants Winston to pay her off so that it would go away before the draft. But her sorry a$$ doesn't realize that people see through her attempt at blackmailing Winston a second time by trying to hurt his draft stock in hopes that he just pays her off to go away. At least I hope that's the case. But Winston put himself in that situation, so I'm sure he learned a large lesson on this one.
  10. Source? Could explain the wait
  11. EJ made it clear that he wants to get back to being "Himself" and use his legs more. He kept repeating that in his interview. It's obvious that Marrone and Co wanted him to throw more and run less. That made him something he wasn't, and put him in an uncomfortable situation to where he struggled. Ryan and Roman preach gameplanning based on a players strength, not making them try to do something they aren't comfortable doing. With Lee now coming out and telling EJ to run more, along with EJ making it clear that he feels comfortable running more, it seems that coach and player are finally on the same page. While this doesn't change his accuracy issues, I believe Marrone's attempt into making him something he wasn't made him think too much in the pocket, which led to mistakes. The mistakes cut into his confidence, which stunted other areas of his growth, such as accuracy. I think allowing EJ to be his natural self and increase his confidence ( as well as the training he received from DeBerg over the winter) will result in a different player come summertime. Hopefully he puts it together. If he does, this will be a very dangerous team. Lee is his QB coach in Buffalo. DeBerg was an outside consultant in the offseason that EJ paid to help him develop.
  12. What there is left from free agency as of April 8th and their PFF rating. 13. Seems the Bills still have some FA options at OL if they chose to go that direction. Barksdale started 29 of last 30 games for Rams last season. From http://www.profootballrumors.com/joe-barksdale/ (Dated 4/7/15) "Pro Football Focus ranked the former Ram just 48th out of 84 qualified tackles. However, his +5.6 run-blocking grade placed him just outside the top 10 in that category. Barksdale’s market may also have been slowed by the fact that he got married and went on his honeymoon within the last few weeks. Now that he’s back and focusing on football, we’ll see if he finds a job quickly, or if interested teams – such as the Titans and Rams – wait until after the draft to try to lock him up." Sounds like a player who we could use that is solid in the run game & would allow us to move Glenn or Henderson to OG if need be. I know we missed on T Bulaga and it seems Tackle news has been pretty quiet since. Right now safe to say Barksdale is looking for more money than what the Bills can afford, and they are probably waiting until after the draft (as it seems most teams are on Barksdale) before they feel they need to further address the position via FA if necessary. But honestly with what we are trying to accomplish this year, bringing someone like him on would really quell the waters a bit regarding OL concerns.
  14. So Jahri's new numbers are as follows: Jahri Evans G Base: $1,003,000 Signing Bonus: $3,800,000 Roster Bonus: $597,000 - Workout Bonus: $100,000 Restructured Bonus: $1,500,000 - Total Contract) $7,000,000 So if he were traded the team that received him (say, the Bills) would not be on the books for his signing bonus. If that's the case his cap hit would be $3.2 mil in 2015, which is more than reasonable. Under those terms I would think he would be easier to trade. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe when a player is traded his signing bonus doesn't count on the new teams cap???
  15. For the veterans minimum he'd be a great guy in the film room to mentor the Bills young talent, and they have a lot of young talent. He'd also be a stop gap in case if a Woods injury that knows Kromers calls like the back of his hand. He's also a tough SOB which plays into the bully role. Our success on OL will depend on the growth of 3-4 very young players, and having someone like Garza in the room and on the sidlines can only be a good thing.
  16. I Rhino Bills draft Funchess in rd 2 and convert to TE. Gives them there 2 TE set
  17. They are probably seeing what we get in the draft first. If we dont get the lineman we want in the 2nd round we can always trade a third or even offer a 5th on draft day
  18. With a different coaching regime, that's how. With Roman now leading the offense and a different mindset, I think it's a fresh start for everyone. Who knows, maybe the receivers frustration was in the system as much as it was in EJ. None the less, with having a competent and proven OC along with greater weapons will change the culture. The only players that had issues with EJ was Woods and Mike Williams, who is gone. Watkins had some great games with EJ and even though he was frustrated at times, he still had success with him. With Clay, Harvin, McCoy and obviously Hogan not having issues with EJ Woods better get on the wagon quick or he'll be left in the dust.
  19. Couldn't agree more. Even when you look at Colin Kaepernick, Russell Wilson, and RG3, players that set the bar for success in their first year in the league and created this whole "win now" for rookie QB's drafted in the early rounds. They are all struggling in their 2nd and/or 3rd years. This QB stuff isn't easy. Alot of the great ones mentioned above took time to develop. Imagine Aaron Rodgers if he had to play his first year instead of riding the pine for 3 seasons. All of the TV analysts are blowing hot air, making it seem that EJ sucks. I could care less what they say. I really believe EJ is going to be a better player this year. and I'm excited to see how much of a better player he will be.
  20. Give credit to Hogan too. Worked with EJ last off season and doing it again. He's always working to improve and that work ethic is what made him a starter over Williams when he would do the extra work with Orton and MW wouldn't. I'm sure Hogan has a chip on his shoulder after all the Harvin talk and Bills looking to add another vet WR. Two hungry guys responding to all the doubters with hard work instead of words. I like it and I'm expecting good things from both players this season. If EJ does start look for his chemistry with Hogan to give him a career year.
  21. Bills will draft best available OG or OT in 2nd round. Depending on who they get will determine who may move from tackle to guard. With this approach it will be easier to find the 5 best available for the O line instead of having to force someone at guard with the mindset that Henderson or Glenn are OT only.
  22. No way they trade a 2nd year up and coming WR for a 33 year old guard. Many around the league look at Woods as the most polished receiver coming out of USC and he hasn't done anything to dispell that. His skillset has no where to go but up. This is really interesting though. Seems Bills really thought Kiko was damaged goods. Granted seems he faded as his rookie year progressed, but he is still viewed as a stud. On paper with Harvin I would have kept Kiko and traded Woods, but honestly its a toss up.
  23. Bucky Brooks brings up some great points and I complete subscribe to his line of thinking. You look at some of the weapons Cassel and EJ have had to use in the past and they don't compare to what they have now. Add in a competent OC like Roman vs. a guy learning on the job in Hackett and it's a different world.
  24. actually if Williams designated Post June 1st its' a hair under $2 million we save. Buffalo has 2 designations per year, and haven't used any yet. Agreed that Urbik doesn't make sense, and I don't think they would do that to him after he just agreed to a pay cut when you have Mario's contract you can renegotiate along with other players who could use pay cuts
